It has one of the best designed traffic flows I have seen. You drive to the back, find your row, take a left and pull into your slot. Look on their web site if this doesn't make sense. It's super easy. Every site is a very flat concrete pad with plenty of room. All roads are asphalt and are in perfect condition. It's the easiest place to get into and out of that I have seen. They have all the expected connections at every site. No cable, but there are more than two dozen channels available via antenna. They pick up your trash. Super nice pool. Golf carts for rent. Places for kids and dogs. The grass is very nicely maintained. The place is secure with a real gate that they give you a card to open. Everything here is first rate. The staff was super nice. We got an Amazon delivery but we're off at Bald Head Island near closing time they called us about it and we said just leave it by the door... someone took the time to bring it to our site! While you are there, definitely take the ferry out to Bald Head Island. It's not far. I definitely recommend this place and honestly will say that it deserves more than five stars.

Plan on being charged a service fee when you get here. 10.00 processing fee for most transactions you make. You would think that with all the extra fees they charge your site wouldn't flood, one heavy rain and you'er are in a Sneads Ferry lake. On to the three stars. The site isn't secured. people drive through the camp ground all night long. the Boat ramp is suppose to be private but it's not. Charter boat captains use and abuse the boat ramp at an astonishing rate. On Holidays locals use the( AKA Private) boat ramp which means they come through the camp ground. The Air B&B is another practice some were uncomfortable with. Temporary people passing in an out of the area on a nightly bases is unsettling. I under stand this is a camp ground a transient place, but its not secure and anyone can come in an out of the area at any time of the night.

Amanda was so incredibly sweet every time we talked to her. They have light but sturdy picnic tables at each lot that you can easily move around as needed and the same with the fire/grill rings. This is a older recreation area but they have everything you need for a getaway. The location is on the Atlantic ocean coastline of North Carolina. If you forget anything there are some items for sale inside the visitor center. They have several lodging options, rv hook ups, canoes and bike rentals. There is a beach house with food, lots of area for cooking out with seating. You can also go boating or bring your own jet skis. The views off the dock are absolutely beautiful stayed in a cottage which was rather nice for the price. I was literally across the street from the Kure beach. Houses in the area start at 1 million dollars and up. Hotels and house rentals in the area are a bit pricey, but would be worth it for a short getaway. Just a few miles down the road Ft Fisher has a state park & a aquarium that is close. Call before you go to for hrs and operations. Im sure I will be back for a future visit! I've never been to this facility before, so I had no idea of what to expect. The cottage was beautiful. It was a 3-bedroom, 2-bath bungalow. Simple but lovely. However, for my husband and I this was a lot of cottage. I had no idea of the pricing because we were told by the groom that a place had been secured for us. With that said, I figured when we checked in the following morning that we could just move to a 1-bedroom cottage if there were any much like a hotel. (DON'T ASSUME!) Even though there was a 1-bedroom, the staff said we could not move because we must stay two nights in one rental. I asked if we could at least get the pricing of the 1-bedroom for the 2nd night simply due to ignorance on our part, and we were told we must speak to Lisa. We could not catch up with her while we were there, and it took 4 days to get a return phone call. When we spoke, I was informed that she lives on site, and if there were any problems that we should have called the number on the paperwork. PROBLEM: typically meaning emergency. (DON'T ASSUME!) Apparently, this could have been resolved had I called the number to discuss the issue. No credit forgiveness was given. The customer service at this facility is not the quality I would expect in a beach setting (and not just due to the lack of refund). However, a huge shout out to the wedding host at the Beach House Bar and Grill because she was professional, fun, and hosted the wedding with great attitude. At least now, if I ever return (which I would like to explore this area one day), I will know that the terms and conditions are not customer friendly.

We met tons of friends, enjoyed the 4th of July events, and loved the beautiful area. For future campers, Purple sites were great - right across from the bath house and each had a picnic table. The campground itself is decent with lots of space for everyone, and our cabin felt cute and charming. It was just the right size for the two of us. We didn't bring our kids this time, but if you're a family, the cabin comes with 4 bunk beds and could easily fit 4-6 people. Just note that the main bedroom has a full-size bed. Quick tips for future campers: * Bring your own bedding, sheets, and pillows. The bed isn't the most comfortable, but it worked for us since we wanted a positive getaway. * If you like extra storage, a little side table is helpful since the setup is simple. * Each cabin comes with a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill, which made evenings really enjoyable. We stayed at Centennial Cabin, which has two driveways--great if you have both a car and an RV/camper. It felt roomy and convenient. We were about a 5-minute walk from the bathhouse. The downside was the bathrooms--they always felt musty and not as clean as I'd like. With the number of people camping, it seemed staff only cleaned at night, so during the day it was often messy. On the positive side, there's so much to do around the area! My boyfriend and I love to explore, and we kept ourselves busy with: * Crabbing * Fishing * Hiking trails * Rock hunting * Bonfires * Scootering & cycling There are also plenty of stores and bait shops nearby if you need supplies or want to grab a few knick-knacks. I visited in a 40 ft motorhome and was placed in one of the smaller spots from what I can see walking around as many sites were of nice size. The site picnic tables are concrete so unable to move them and mine was placed at the very front of my site making it useless unless you want to be roadside attraction. It didn't take me long to understand why when I wanted to put my awning out and bring out my chairs I would be sitting on top of my neighbors sewer and electrical box, yes, they were right beside my camper on the passenger side making no room for a picnic table. Therefore, no sitting outside on this trip unfortunately. As far as the "resort"......not even close. They offer no resort amenities. No concrete pads, no food service, no planned activities for the kids, a very small pool was closed for the season. So we are clear on my expectations and experiences at a true "RV Resort" they have a restaurant on property, they have concrete pads, they most often have a year round pool or hot tub, they have spacious sites, the property is well maintained, they have places around the campground you can sit and relax or have family activities. This place offered none of this but yet the price we paid during off season was more than what we pay at ocean front resorts in NC. This campground is more of a community of long term or permanent campers. Some sites need to be reeled in by the owner as they look look like a collection point of recycling. A camper at one particular sites was circled by debris doing this place no favors. The place was full of RVs, but yet we saw only about 3-5 people over a 3 day stay. The customer service over the phone was great. Very friendly and helpful. They do have a limited offering of supplies in the office. The price point from my experiences here would be more realistic at $30-40 off season and 50-60 during peak. We paid $80 off season. This will not happen again as there are choices in the area where the prices are more balanced with offerings for a visit with family who live in the area.
