"Everything looked good" They spoke with my tenant and she loved the place. After a couple of years she moved out and Movezen said I needed to release the security deposit. I wanted pictures of my place to make sure all was good as they had told me. It wasn't good at all. There was terrible damage to the flooring. Cost: $8,000 The kitchen cabinets and drawers were all damaged and the fridge had mold in it. There was more damage but those were the big ones. Cost me $11000 to fix it all. Move zen refused to take responsibility of any of it and they wanted to make sure the tenant got all her security money back seeing as the tenant had found a new rental - through Movezen! They did everything to protect the tenant and nothing to help me at all. I had 3 rentals through them that I ended up selling because Movezen did not ever check on anything or tell me the truth. But they were very diligent at collecting payment from me.

It's a beautiful old structure, but something to keep in mind if mobility or convenience is important to you. Our unit had a few issues--most notably, the lights went out for about 30 minutes, which was frustrating. Also, our room was located right next to the building's vents or HVAC system, which made it incredibly loud throughout the night. Unfortunately, that meant very little sleep. Now for the highlight: John, the bartender at the outdoor bar. He was absolutely incredible and truly the saving grace of our stay. He doesn't just pour drinks--he crafts them based on your personal tastes. After asking a few thoughtful questions, he whipped up one-of-a-kind cocktails that were perfectly tailored to us. It's no wonder locals come by just to see him and enjoy his creations. These weren't drinks out of a menu--he was making them up on the spot, and they were some of the best I've ever had. All in all, while the accommodations had a few drawbacks, John's hospitality and talent made the experience memorable. If ARRIVE is smart, they'll do everything they can to keep him around--he's a true asset to the place!

(Some people in our group went to Carolina beach last year and they said it felt like a dive bar and Wrightsville Beach was much nicer. ) The sandwich shop next door had decent prepared sandwiches, coffee, and alcohol. We also had a good dinner at Oceanic across the street. The pool was very nice and never very busy. Our rooms were clean and the place was quiet (except for footsteps above). Each suite is individually owned so there was variability in the kitchen set up (e.g., full-sized fridge vs smaller, oven vs toaster oven, high table vs regular table) and decor of some units is more updated than others. Also, my unit had blackout drapes but others didn't. They also had beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys available to use. WiFi was fast enough to upload pictures to social media but was slow for more data-heavy tasks. Breakfast is available in the lobby starting at 7:30. There are no tables to eat in the lobby but they have trays so that you can take the food back to your room. They had fresh fruit, juices, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, instant grits, packaged pastries, coffee (no decaf), and tea. Taphne and Steven were extremely nice and very helpful. Our reservations were complicated and changed at least twice and they were very accommodating. We booked directly (instead of booking dot com) and Taphne gave us a discount.

The staff tried to resolve the matter but were unable to do anything. After voicing my disappointment, I received a call from the company president who worked with me to find a resolution. They did show up with glassware and took down blinds that were tangled together blocking ocean view in the kitchen. Pillows nasty! Stains on all rugs, cracks in tiles, mirrors- torn lampshades- Found out they rent long term to college students in off season. Shame on you for not doing a better job preparing it for top dollar summer pricing. And to top it off no return email of apology.

Folks are friendly and the neighborhood is great. (Full disclosure: my parents live in the Lakes and my dad golfs regularly.) Blossoms is the latest incarnation of the Magnolia Greens golf course clubhouse restaurant. I first reviewed it back in 2011, when it was called Magnolia Grill. While the interior may have been updated in the intervening years, the boxy space is the same. You definitely get a "golf course clubhouse restaurant" vibe here, and I assume patrons are primarily from the neighborhood, or golfers. It's a friendly place to gather and eat before or after a round of golf. Destination dining, it is not. Breakfast and lunch menus are available, and it's your basic golf course clubhouse food. A selection of salads and sandwiches at lunch, and all the breakfast basics earlier in the day. There are few gluten free options, but I was able to enjoy the Blossoms salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. (I heard on good authority this salad is a favorite of the ladies' golf group.) It's a large portion, and leftovers kept well for another meal the following day. My husband opted for the cheeseburger and fries, which he deemed below average. "Two star, tasted like meatloaf." The all-beef hot dog plate that wandered by our table looked good, and may be an option for me on a return visit, sans bun. Informal surveys of the regulars seem to indicate that breakfast is the best meal served at Blossoms. So get there early and fill up before hitting the links.
