I woke up to an email today March 7th stating that my order had been canceled because based on Seaside's records, I was being provided line service by another linen service provider. I obviously had questions so I promptly replied to the email asking for clarity. The response to my email for some reason had a tone of combativeness and I'm not sure why. I had asked the person that I've been sending out several emails back-and-forth with to just give me a call so that we could clear up any questions and get the order processed. A person named Craig reached out after a few minutes to let me know that my order had been canceled and that they would not be delivering my towels, obviously this was frustrating. But I was willing to answer any questions and solve whatever issues we were having so that I can get the towel order to the beach property. Craig said that he saw the situation as bailing me out and that they don't just take online orders to help people out when they need towels. I was confused and said isn't that the definition of offering a product and service for a cost is helping people out when they need your service. I asked Craig if I needed to sign up for a membership or some sort of account fee in order to get service and he said no that's not how it works. For whatever reason Craig was unwilling to work through whatever questions he had and told me that they would not be filling my order and they would refund the amount charged. I guess I learned a valuable lesson, if you use seaside linen online services, place your order and pay for your order. There isn't any guarantee that your towels or linens will be delivered. If Craig doesn't feel you have met the criteria to have him deliver your order. This was honestly one of the strangest interactions I've ever had with a business that offers online ordering. I'm normally a…read morecheapo, I'm-gonna-do-it-myself type, but we had a baby with us and my uncle highly recommended getting a service because tents are a pain and Holden Beach requires that they be taken down every night. He was so very right. Every morning, we could look out our window while eating breakfast and see our nice, big, shady tent beckoning us to the beach. We felt a little bad sitting in the shade and watching other families on the beach reluctantly trudge to the beach much later with their tent and struggle to get the thing up and down. They never looked happy with the process. The price was the best in town (by a lot) and they couldn't be more dependable. Plus, the owner is just a delight to work with. I highly recommend. They're a pretty new company and they rent lots of stuff (and run a taxi). Get the service and spend your precious little vacation time actually enjoying vacation. We'll be using them from now on.

Family visiting and wanted to go stand up paddle boarding and we found this place on the way off…read morethe island while we were grabbing dinner and glad that we were able to go on a Friday show up with no reservation and rent the SUPs for two hours along the waterway You get a brief introduction on how to hold a paddle and maneuver your way on the stand up paddle boards and I did get the local shop cell phone number just in case we got stuck but they did advise us to stayy off of the grass since there are oyster beds over there and you can cut your feet from the sharp shells but overall a good time and will definitely be back when I'm in the area. They are also able to hold your keys just in case you do flip off and lose your items from the bungee cords on your board.
