What a wonderful hotel we came upon. Not only was it relaxing, extremely clean...everything was dry cleaned and even the remote control was in a bag cleaned. We were able to relax and bring our pup! We didn't want to leave as there was so much to do within the hotel outside courtyard. There was a special planned Labor Day event serving oysters snd mimosas and other specialty drinks. The staff was fabulous and friendly. Thanks Vincent for making us feeL welcome. The hotel is very close to water and many local restaurants, we never had to move our car! See you soon ARRIVE, we see coming back:)

What a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful space. The Arrive is so thoughtfully curated and an oasis in downtown Wilmington. Came for a weekend and had an easy time from check-in Friday night to check-out on Sunday morning. Parking is free and across the street, which is pretty crucial during the summertime. The rooms are motel style, with the doors leading to the outdoors, and they go up 3 stories. The steps are pretty steep, so if there is limited mobility or you need additional support, make sure you talk to the hotel when getting your rooms set up. I didn't see an elevator-but perhaps I missed it. The rooms are cozy, but you don't need a lot of space when it's set up so nicely--plus there are rocking chairs on the porch outside the room to sit and enjoy the sun. The bed was so comfortable that we're trying to track down exactly what mattress style it was to buy for our home. The amenities in the room were perfect--we lived in the linen robes they had and regret not buying some that weekend (they have prices listed for all the fun gadgets and luxuries that you could want from the room). The shower was to die for and I took 2 a day just because I could. Coordinating with hotel staff was super easy-they were available via text and showed up super fast when we messaged them for some new towels. The TVs in the rooms are connected to AppleTVs, so we just streamed music from our phones the whole weekend, which was a great break from boring hotel TV options. Each night after dinner we grabbed a cool drink from their restaurant, Dram Yard, and took it into the garden. The first night we were at the hotel there was a live concert in the adjacent lot, so we listened to a great cover band and relaxed in some Adirondack chairs. Overall, I have been dreaming about the Arrive since we left and I'm already planning another trip to Wilmington just to relax at the hotel. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Bottom line: ARRIVE Wilmington is a charming boutique hotel that is a pleasure to stay in, dog friendly as well. Beautiful courtyard, quaint well decorated and maintained rooms, as well as good location a couple of blocks back from the riverfront area. They checked all the boxes, wonderful place to stay. The Deets: We were looking for a nice hotel near riverfront Wilmington that was also dog friendly, and ARRIVE showed up on the radar. Staying one night on the weekend, we found that this boutique hotel was warm, inviting, clean, and well made. Rooms are made in either a Mini, Suite, or Loft configuration, and we enjoyed the Mini room style. Most all rooms are facing a fantastic courtyard nicely maintained with gardens, chairs, firepits/fireplaces, and a small outside bar area. The little bar is a nice place to hang out, get to know your fellow guests, and enjoy a drink. The bartender was great in engaging guests and making sure everyone was well taken care of while there. We did not get to enjoy dining at their adjoining restaurant Dram Yard on this stay. The rooms for the most part all face the courtyard, doors opening to the outside area. The room itself was charming...just what was needed. It was decorated well, new and clean, cozy with a very VERY comfortable bed (there are some great pics of inside the rooms from other Yelpers already on this page, please look). The shower in particular was very nice, wide space with plenty of room with shampoo/body wash etc. provided in large wall mounted pump dispense bottles. Be advised that the room door to the outside has a large glass center but there are blackout type curtains to pull over the doorway to guarantee privacy when desired. Also, be aware that the door lock mechanism resets automatically at 11am your day of checkout...you will not be able to access your room again with your key card after that point. Staff here was very nice, and try their best to accommodate you. The room rates are variable depending on weekday/weekend nights and room type, so best to check their site for rates. In all, the stay at ARRIVE Wilmington was very enjoyable and I look forward to another stay when in the area in the future.

Summary; cute stylish hotel in a great location. Minimalist open floor plan room, Small and functional but not too tiny. It works nicely! I would definitely stay here again and in fact it would be my preferred hotel to stay in Wilmington close to the riverfront. This is a review of their "Mini" room. Room price is competitive with other name brand hotels in the area. Bed is VERY comfortable with Beautyrest pillowtop mattress and good pillows. I felt like I had a great sleep. Arrive Hotel seems designed to cut down on waste. Also it gets rid of a lot of hotel annoyances. Rooms surround Courtyard area. Didn't get to enjoy the courtyard because it was raining but it looks like they have a lounge and maybe a bar? They have a small artificial turf lawn designed for lawn bowling (I think that's what it is). Texting for everything. No phone. Just text to check out and leave key in room. Three stories, balcony looking out on courtyard. Rocking chairs on the shared balcony. Didn't see any elevator so if climbing stairs is a problem would need to request an accessible first floor room. No separate closet but have a metal pipe hanger rod and wicker baskets for storing clothes in addition to a small dresser as well as drawers in the bedside table that can store a few small items. I was solo but I would think the room would be cozy with enough space for two people comfortably. Three or more would be a bit tight. Robes (from House of Hiatus). Umbrella. Stylish decor. Well lit. Easy to access and well placed light switches (another hotel pet peeve). Cute Victrola radio on w bluetooth connectivity on the bedstand. Bathroom: nice open shower. Bath products are good quality red flower brand. Instead of the little throwaway bottles of body wash and hair products and the little wrapped soaps they have refillable pump bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner on the wall in the shower and refillable pump bottles of body lotion and hand wash next to the spacious sink. Little passport sized "How to Wilmington" guidebook with local suggestions in the room. Dog friendly hotel. I have dog allergies but didn't have a problem with my allergies. Free parking in a designated lot across the street. Provide hair dryer and handheld clothes steamer. No iron. Internet speed seems good. No problems with connectivity. No annoying hotel wifi password, or need to enter credentials. Decent access to plugs. Speaking of annoying, no annoying automatic closing door. You can leave the door open and enjoy fresh air. You can actually roll your suitcase out without the door hitting you in your rear.

We loved our downtown ILM staycation in October and look forward to doing it again soon. The ARRIVE property and the rooms are beautifully appointed, with thoughtful amenities. There are firepits and fireplaces outside, great outdoor space, it's dog friendly and the cocktails at the bar are fantastic. Location is perfect to everything downtown and parking is directly across the street (and free). The beds (and the bedding) is the best! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at PinPoint and then walked through the neighborhood. The next morning, we took the dog on a walk for bagels. If you want an urban experience, this is the perfect place!

ARRIVE is the perfect addition to Wilmington! The location is right in the heart of downtown so just a few steps away from great food, bars, and the waterfront! The atmosphere of the outside is cozy and modern! The fireplaces are such a great touch! The rooms were so cute and cozy! The attention to details was amazing and made our one night stay perfect! The pricing was very fair for the location and all of the amenities! Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Wilmington!

There's a small sitting area on the balcony outside the rooms, and each room has its own unique decor. We love the eye for detail and design. Our room is The Hamptons, with two double beds and a separate room with TV and sitting area and desk (though it is open to the bedroom because no doors exist in the doorway; it would be cool if they had sliding doors to separate the spaces). The bar downstairs is lively and fun with amazing cocktails and a few small bite options, and it operates from the backyard yard of the Inn, so be prepared for a bit of noise from that and the street to filter into the room especially on weekends. Friendly and helpful staff with good customer service. A good find! The Deets: In a recent trip down to Wilmington's riverfront area, I tried out the rather new Hampton Inn Wilmington Downtown for my first night there. This property is a couple blocks back up from the actual riverfront but in close walking distance not only to the riverfront/Riverwalk but to all the businesses along the Front St/Market St area. Right off the bat, the desk staff was friendly, positive, helpful in check in and well as check out, shout out to Stephen for great customer service! The lobby/business center/breakfast center was nice, well maintained, and spacious. The room itself was nice with ample space, clean, and comfortable. I enjoyed my overnight stay here. The Hampton Inn included breakfast was just as expected, those little cheese omelets and sausage are not gourmet but did what was needed until going out for brunch later on in the day, with the breakfast staff nice and welcoming while they went about their business. In all, I find this Hampton Inn one of the best hotels I've experienced in the riverfront Wilmington area and would definitely be up for staying their again in the future.

I have traveled for work for over 15 years and I might as well stay at a best western or motel 6 if this is these are the conditions I have to pay for Jessyca and Jeane' were great. Both had exceptional personalities, great customer care, attentive, and just a pleasure to speak with. Too bad the hotel rooms dont reflect their "shine". Also, i'd like to bring attention to the Valet person (in the mornings). I do not remember his name, but he was a pleasure as well. Smiling face, warm greetings, remembers your face and offers local suggestions and advice; just a good guy to take care of your vehicle and help enjoy your trip. Lets talk Rooms; 223 to be exact. NObody, should ever stay in this room. For starters, you dont need a key as you can use the "dont disturb" placard on door handle to break in. The door latch works but the door LOCK doesnt. This door has already been broken into, as is apparent by it's appearance. Hotel maintenance is a joke nation wide, but this takes the cake. I've seen better at Holiday Inn Express'. As you open the door, the stale stench of cigarettes greets you, mixed with a vintage neutralizer smell. Ah yes, the luxuries at Hilton. The bathroom door is a "barn door" style (most reduculous addition to ANY hotel) which does not close because of a screw that the hanger comes into contact with. So, privacy is lost, but then again privacy is always lost with these silly doors (ready for this fad to disappear) that never seat close enough to the wall and surely never extend past the opening far enough. Next, I blindly sat some items on the nightstand. As my fingers released and my head turned to look towards the window, my ears were sang a song of everything breakdancing on the floor. I didn't spend anytime figuring out the degree of "slope" on the nightstand, but it doesnt sit at a 90° . In my pictures, the book is flush with the wall. Being me, I thought "lets see if we can fix this or at least remedy it a little bit. Behind me at this point is the corner chase lounge. I nudge the lounge over in an attempt to create some space and...... it falls over . Apparently house keeping or maintenance figured "just propping the 2 broken feet under would be suffice". Not a single screw "or care" were found . Now, this leads our story to the window blinds. As with most rooms they are partially down. Grabbing the chain and giving a gentle yet firm tug, nothing. Maybe I grabbed the wrong chain, so I grab the 2nd chain, pull, and nothing. Glancing up i determine either chain should be causing something to happen. I regrip the chain and pull with angst and finally, it gives. Looking down to reposition my feet i see the A/C units power supply tucked behind the baseboard; another great motel vibe. We'll jump into the next morning for breakfast. As a recovering Cancer patient I was actually "eggcited" for hotel eggs since "eggs" have been the only thing i'd been able to stomach throughout my treatments and process after. Welp, not today. The "top burnt quiche" that was sitting in egg water just didnt do it for me. Neither did the full pan of gray sausage links. Lastly, the tray of potatoes came in for the win. 1 scoop of potatoes and a bowl of oatmeal (that I brought). Hilton is still using "Quaker Oats" which has the highest levels of Glyphosate in their final oat/wheat products which probably also include their cereals. The Juice machine had 3 of 4 nozzles working which, also at this point, feels glorious. I dont recall the fruit situation, I just know I didn't leave with any. After a great time strolling through downtown Wilmington, next time we'll give Embassy Suites a go before switching to Marriots. Shameful when you think about it, how mundane and ran down Hiltons have become.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the Mother's Day flower bar they had set up. Guests could work directly with the florist to create their own bouquets, which was such a unique and fun experience. Molly and Lily were both so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The resort also had several activities going on during the weekend, including live music on Saturday night and yoga on Sunday morning. I'm not sure if they offer events like this every weekend, but there was definitely a nice selection of things to do during my stay. One of my favorite amenities was the beach chair and umbrella service. It made the beach experience so much more relaxing not having to drag chairs and equipment down to the sand yourself. The pool area was fantastic as well. The indoor and outdoor pools are connected side-by-side, so you can easily bounce back and forth between the two depending on what you're in the mood for. There was also a hot tub, although my only complaint is that a resort this size could really benefit from having three hot tubs instead of one. The bar had excellent drinks, and Colleen was an awesome bartender. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the cocktail list and gave great recommendations. I ate at Solstice Kitchen + Cocktails, and the food was very good. The BBQ chicken flatbread was delicious. But honestly, the view from the restaurant may have been the best part. The patio overlooks the ocean and has rocking chairs where you can sit and relax while taking in the scenery. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I would absolutely stay here again.

My only frustration (which I seem to say about every Hilton review I give) is that they don't do well allowing check-ins earlier than 2PM - 4PM. I know full well what time check-in is, but Hilton needs to get with the program with business travelers... We need to check-in when we arrive. We often have the day planned and need to get the check-in out of the way so proceed with our day. I very rarely have this problem at Marriott properties and each time I say this, someone from Hilton replies telling me what time check in is. I get it, but that doesn't make it right and it's the reason I'm primarily a Bonvoy member and will be until Hilton fixes this. OK - Enough of that. The room was ok. It was a large king bed room with a living room when you walk in and a separate bedroom in the back. Housekeeping could have been better. There were stains on the chair next to the sofa that were nasty and quite obvious. The toilet and sink area were not cleaned during room refresh. Regarding comfort, the bed was nice. The TV channels were decent, but the streaming video selection was excellent. Bathroom was in definite need of being upgraded, with stains visible around the floor tile and tub basin. Common areas in the hotel were quite nice and large too, especially for when a larger conference is in town. The selection in their daily breakfast was quite impressive, as it included a person grilling up eggs, as well as many other buffet type breakfast items. And the daily social hour is a nice touch too. Would I stay here again if needing to attend the local convention center? Probably not, there's a Marriott property right next door I'd select next time.

January 23 - 25, 2026…read more 4.4 Stars. We stayed in downtown Wilmington for three days at this Marriott hotel. Our first impressions were: great location near everything, professional & helpful staff, small rooms with small fridge, very small luggage carts, provided two water bottles immediately at check in, and affordable parking garage nearby for $10 a night. The gym was in the second floor. Small lobby yet very spacious eating area with a bar, restaurant, and Starbucks coffee area for eating & drinking. We stayed at one of the highest floors with a view of the museum and it was a peaceful & quiet room to sleep in during the night. Hotel staff was very professional & friendly except for one front desk staff with long blonde hair, who couldn't answer my question. When I asked her if she knew any great food places nearby, she stated that she didn't know of any good places to eat because she didn't eat and was under 21 & couldn't drink. I thought it was strange she couldn't offer any helpful suggestions of good nearby food places and wondered what drinking had to do with finding a good place to eat nearby (since I never mentioned drinking). She seemed more focus on herself than on helping suggest good nearby restaurants for guests staying at the hotel. My husband had dealt with her earlier and told me she was annoying. The slim white male with nose piercings at the front desk assisted us the most.He got me a soft blanket and gave us helpful info about the affordable garage nearby instead of using the hotel valet service for $33 a night. Before I left, he gave us two water bottles to take on the road as we departed for our next location. He made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and before we left. Very impressive. We were able to walk to a lot of fun and exciting places downtown in Wilmington or drive to places too far to walk yet near for driving. The Cotton Exchange, Papercut Books, Hidden Grounds Coffee, The Black Cat Shoppe, and the Museum of the Bizarre were some of the places we visited there. The pros of staying here outweighed the cons. I took off 0.6 points off for minor inconveniences like the small cramped room, scratching my hand twice on the cabinet holding the fridge, the empty water bottle left from a past guest under the bed, and small luggage carts. My husband said this Marriott hotel was one of the nicest he ever stayed at with the best staff he ever encountered at the Marriott with one exception. If you plan to stay at this Marriott for a couple of days, I suggest you get a larger room because the king size bed room with a sitting chair & desk with chair was very small yet the only room available. The nearby parking garage is worth parking at and is a quick walk across from the hotel. There are no microwaves in the rooms & a small coffeemaker to use for coffee in the rooms. I had to use a microwave at the lobby to heat my food.

I'm now only going to write about the few minor tweaks that matter slightly. Small mini fridge. Parking garage is a block away, which is $10 every 24 hours. Thanks to reception for making us aware of this option. Bravo. There was no pushy staff, very pleasant. Gym was nice and water bottles available. Room felt kind of small. The most annoying part of it all was the small carts for luggage. They only offer the small triangle shaped carts, not the larger style. Otherwise this was the best stay at a Marriott up until we just discovered Carolina Beach. Location was great for the ease of getting to all of the down town sites.

The suites…read morearen't enormous, but they feel much more spacious than they are thanks to smart furniture placement, high ceilings, and soaring windows that look onto great views of the river area and Front St. The Riverwalk is less than two minutes away on foot, and there are dozens of nice shops, restaurants, and lounges within a five-minute walking radius. (Definitely stop into the Fortunate Glass, a wine bar located just a couple of blocks down.) Innkeeper Fran is a bundle of welcoming hospitality. The check-in process is as friendly and informative as it gets. The suites have a comfy couch; a kitchenette with sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and dishes/utensils; a decent-sized bathroom with good water volume; and a sleeping area upstairs with a ceiling fan. I found the bed to be quite comfortable. There's a shared patio with a river view out back and an icemaker in the hall for common use. No food or drinks are available on-site, but there's a great convenience market around the corner with anything you might need for the room. Just a few things to know: --If you absolutely must have a silent environment, you may run into a few issues. Noise from the hallway is audible in the rooms, but thankfully guests seem to abide by the quiet hours and there wasn't any guest noise later in the evening. Also, there are a couple of nightclubs nearby and (on the weekends at least), there was some music carryover noise. --The only TV is upstairs in the sleeping loft; there is not one in the living/sitting area. --Parking is by permit in a lot about a 90-second walk away. You won't have an assigned space, but I didn't have any problems getting one. --No daily housekeeping, but there is a basket with a checklist you can place outside your door if you need something replenished. This beats any chain hotel experience and has more of a bed-and-breakfast sort of vibe, only with no breakfast and a very different architectural set-up.
