They did show up with glassware and took down blinds that were tangled together blocking ocean view in the kitchen. Pillows nasty! Stains on all rugs, cracks in tiles, mirrors- torn lampshades- Found out they rent long term to college students in off season. Shame on you for not doing a better job preparing it for top dollar summer pricing. And to top it off no return email of apology.

My options are come this weekend and watch it rain or stay home and lose the money. I won't be booking through Intracoastal ever again unless this policy changes. I wish I could give them a 0 rating. (Some people in our group went to Carolina beach last year and they said it felt like a dive bar and Wrightsville Beach was much nicer. ) The sandwich shop next door had decent prepared sandwiches, coffee, and alcohol. We also had a good dinner at Oceanic across the street. The pool was very nice and never very busy. Our rooms were clean and the place was quiet (except for footsteps above). Each suite is individually owned so there was variability in the kitchen set up (e.g., full-sized fridge vs smaller, oven vs toaster oven, high table vs regular table) and decor of some units is more updated than others. Also, my unit had blackout drapes but others didn't. They also had beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys available to use. WiFi was fast enough to upload pictures to social media but was slow for more data-heavy tasks. Breakfast is available in the lobby starting at 7:30. There are no tables to eat in the lobby but they have trays so that you can take the food back to your room. They had fresh fruit, juices, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, instant grits, packaged pastries, coffee (no decaf), and tea. Taphne and Steven were extremely nice and very helpful. Our reservations were complicated and changed at least twice and they were very accommodating. We booked directly (instead of booking dot com) and Taphne gave us a discount.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area! Continental breakfast was provided every morning in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful in advising places in which to eat and ways to get to our destination. The room was clean and quaint with a nice small & functional kitchen. The suite had two rooms, bathroom and kitchen. There was an ocean view and a nice balcony with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Across the street was the Oceanic seafood restaurant, would recommend that to any traveler in the area. The continental breakfast was also quality. The options included boxed cereal, juices, breakfast bars, and fruit. The coffee was hand batched each morning and bags delivered to the rooms. The staff was always friendly in the morning, greeting and advising the people staying!

Multiple issues 1- took 30 min for the lock pad to let us in kept needing resent wouldn't open 2-Dishes were not clean coffee on the mugs, food on the pans and forks. 3- A couple roaches seen as well 4- main reason for the bad review is the kitchen sink. We checked in Friday and by Saturday night we cooked seafood and ran the dishwasher and the sinks had sand and sediment come all the way up to the top of the sink. So no ability to wash dishes and cook. We were cleaning the coffee pot in the shower. They sent maintenance out and said we would need a plumber. I said fine let me know we would be on the beach. There was no more communication and no Plumber ever came the rest of the trip we had these sinks. The offered compensation was $50 which we felt was extremely cheap. Anyway unit needs work. I have another rental with Bryant in July but I'm reluctant.

Since this…read morewas our first time to Wrightsville we first checked out the local area and decided where we would have dinner. We made dinner reservations for 6:00 pm. As we were leaving the room that evening, my husband put his hand on the door to make sure it closed behind us and it opened right up. The door would not lock upon exiting. We could use the deadbolt from the inside but we had no way to secure it from the outside. Since we had already checked in, we could not leave the room unlocked, even if we removed our stuff, because we were responsible for the room. We texted multiple times and left phone messages for management and finally a young man responded at 9:00 pm saying he was on his way out but would stop by. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix it and he said someone would be out first thing in the morning to repair the door. In the morning, we waited until 10:00 am before it was repaired because the maintenance guy was on another job. I called the Sea Scape Properties management company upon our return home and spoke to Ashley. I told Ashley that we only had two nights there and we could not leave the room the first night so we wanted a refund for our first night. Ashley said she had to check with the owners and she would get back to me. I waited two weeks and I did not get a call back. I called again and spoke with Ashley and she again said she was waiting for the owners response. She assured me she would call me the following Monday, and it has been another two plus weeks and I have not heard back. I can appreciate that things break or go wrong, but the measure of good service by a company is the concern for their customers by taking prompt action for repairs, prompt resolution for what is being asked for (return of one night charge) and good customer service communication. I have not received any of these. As I now try to complete their online survey, it says the "survey has closed".

The staff were all very understanding and responsive but honestly I feel as if I should not have had to spend my vacation time being their overseer. My expectations for $400+ per night for a 1 bedroom and pitiful excuse of a beach view balcony were definitely not met. With all this being said, we will pay extra $$$ in the future to receive the experience to meet our expectations. PS: We were not the only dissatisfied visitors. Out of numerous times I spoke w someone from Bryant Real Estate there were only 2 conversations that left me feeling as though they actually cared about my experience w their co (sorry you're grouped in this review to the gentleman that came to check if we had power & the woman I spoke w over the phone on 9/2/19). When you book & pay for your vacation via Vrbo you won't be privy to the specifics & contract pertaining to your stay... 1.) The less than $100 we saved by not booking at the nearby Hampton Inn would've been worth it for the bath mats, towels, garbage bags, bedding, etc. they charge for you to rent from them...odd. 2.) The associate I spoke with, Steven, stated I couldn't speak w anyone else there, he wouldn't answer some questions, didn't know the answer to others, & flat out asked if I ever stopped talking 3.) The contract you are emailed to sign AFTER you've booked & paid for your rental states "Please note: Travel Insurance must be purchased by your scheduled final rental payment." which A.) would've been good to know prior when I paid for the rental in full & B.) isn't true as I spoke w CSA (the insurance provider) who stated you're able to purchase rental insurance thru them up until 24 hrs before your check in day/time 4.) I travel frequently & I've never encountered a co that didn't seem concerned in the slightest about ensuring their guests had a pleasant stay 5.) In case it could help anyone that books during a time of inclement weather: In 2018 a woman was unable to stay in a rental she paid for on Vrbo w SeaShore Realty in Topsail Beach. The woman reached out to the management co. They told her if she didn't purchase travel insurance, she isn't entitled to a refund as specified in the NC Vacation Rental Act according to WRAL Channel 5 News Station. They cited the mayor's proclamation that only property owners & disaster recovery teams can access the island & rentals weren't allowed. NC Real Estate Commission: The commission's chief deputy legal counsel says if a vacation home is left damaged or inaccessible after a storm regardless of insurance they're entitled to a comparable home at the same cost or a full refund.

Dale feels like family to us and sends us updated pictures of his beautiful little baby who was being born when we once booked our stay lol! He always gives us a great deal for where we stay! And helps us out tremendously on things to do while we are there! We stayed once during a hurricane even and felt so safe and taken care of! We had no worries what so ever and were back to enjoying the sunshine the next day! If you are debating on choosing to stay with SWRE do it!! Trust me you won't regret it for a minute!
