It felt like we were asking a dumb question every time we asked something. Charging $100/day for a golf cart rental is wild behavior. Half of the splash pad didn't work and the ground needed a really good pressure wash. The hours of everything is odd - I've never stayed at any campground where the camp store closes at 4pm? Our last KOA 2 weeks ago, it closed at 7pm and their shuttle went until 9:30pm...so having a "shuttle" to the beach that stops at 3:30 in the afternoon is dumb and useless. Very unimpressed - will not be returning and we also do not recommend.

When we arrived at our spot (240), my husband had to maneuver around a tree at the very edge of the road/literally AT our pad. We couldn't have been assigned a worse spot for someone new at camping. After lots of tries, we finally got in. The other campers seemed stuffy and all an older crowd. They would gather for large dinners together and then after dark the campground was dead. Seemed like we were the only ones sitting outside at night. Would highly recommend renting a golf cart. Pros: extremely quiet (if you like that), dog-friendly (nice pet areas), level concrete sites, clean laundry facilities, overflow parking, close to area attractions, perfect place for retirees Cons: boring, difficult to back in, no fishing, no scenic views

It has one of the best designed traffic flows I have seen. You drive to the back, find your row, take a left and pull into your slot. Look on their web site if this doesn't make sense. It's super easy. Every site is a very flat concrete pad with plenty of room. All roads are asphalt and are in perfect condition. It's the easiest place to get into and out of that I have seen. They have all the expected connections at every site. No cable, but there are more than two dozen channels available via antenna. They pick up your trash. Super nice pool. Golf carts for rent. Places for kids and dogs. The grass is very nicely maintained. The place is secure with a real gate that they give you a card to open. Everything here is first rate. The staff was super nice. We got an Amazon delivery but we're off at Bald Head Island near closing time they called us about it and we said just leave it by the door... someone took the time to bring it to our site! While you are there, definitely take the ferry out to Bald Head Island. It's not far. I definitely recommend this place and honestly will say that it deserves more than five stars.

The lady on the phone said only do 2 weeks because if our house closes earlier we can't get a refund if we leave early. We checked in and asked to stay in the same spot and was told no so we had to move 14 days in. We moved to the other end of the park with a lot of open spots. Not sure I understand the move especially with all the open spots around our old one and new one. WiFi- HORRIBLE! Not sure if we have watched 1 show in 30 days without it buffering and pausing. Don't expect the wifi to hold if you have any work to do!!!! Mail/Amazon - they don't accept any deliveries. I understand that with this large of a park that's hiring a new person yet guests who stay for an extended period of time it would be nice to get something if needed. Security at front gate - some just wave you through and never look for the tag. Came in 3 times with tag on front seat and they waved me in. Printing / Community Computer - yes we are in a special situation and in need of something printed for closing. I asked if they could print off something for me and was no and to go down the street. C'mon, print something off and charge $.10 or $.25. Weekday speed traps - security sits on the road with a radar gun getting your speed. It's a little funny when it's 10MPH. Overall I still give our stay a 4 and yes I can only imagine this place is packed during the summer yet there are a few things that could change.

We do a lot of research before we head out to the areas we want to travel to, and found this lovely campground nestled along the backroads of North Carolina. This campground sits adjacent to a lovely Vineyard which offers wine tastings at a discount to campers, and allows you the freedom to walk around the immaculate grounds taking in the peacefulness of the land. Away from the hustle and bustle of big city noise and traffic yet close enough to shopping, entertainment, the beaches, this campground is the perfect place to stay. The pool was great to cool off, considering it was the middle of July, it was clean, gated and close to the restrooms and laundry. The dog area is enclosed and located in an area that was well shaded. The RV sites sit on dirt but are level, have a picnic table, fire ring, most are well shaded and spacious enough for larger rigs. The staff were all accommodating and friendly, the sisters that run the Tasting Room were very pleasant, and it was a joy to sit and chat while tasting their variety of wines. A big shout out to the camp host John, for helping us on our last day. We had mechanical problems with our 5th wheel and he helped my husband troubleshoot the issues. We would definitely return and would recommend this lovely place.

This is not a party life RV park, this is a family oriented park. BEDBUGS:Our stay on the weekend of August 15, 2026 has been a traumatizing experience. Im hoping…read morethey don't delete this review since the last was deleted. We arrived just before 1AM and quickly got to bed as we have three little kids. As I woke up about 6AM after being uncomfortable, I saw the bed covered in bedbugs. I woke my wife up and took my 10 month old baby out of the bed. When I did, the bedbugs were crawling all over his sleep sack. There were bedbugs crawling on our clothes we were wearing and in my wife's hair. By this time, they were all over the bed and walls. My wife and daughter jumped in the shower to wash out the bed bugs in their hair! I removed all belongings outside. While moving our things out, not only were bed bugs the only visitors. There were German Cockroaches in the room. We called the office and it was obviously closed. We then called the emergency number and were told we had to wait until 8AM to speak to a manager and the male we spoke to have no care in world nor compassion. What did we have to do? Wait until 8 AM until the office opened up instead of getting any call backs or a visit 2 hours later. I had apparent bites all over my body and my wife had a few. I was thankful my baby wasn't bit however, the next day, more and more bites would start to appear on my wife and baby. They were covered in bites. My wife's face, scalp, breast, legs, arms, and back were covered. My 10 month old son's face, scalp, ears, and arms are also covered. Luckily our two other children who were upstairs did not get bit. My entire body had bites and as the day progressed, more bites appeared and my body was starting to have an allergic reaction as the bites on my buttocks, legs, arms, abdomen had started bruising and becoming inflamed. It was extremely uncomfortable to deal with.  We went to the office to speak the manager. Amanda gave us $9 in quarters and told us to put all of our clothes in the dryer onsite. After telling her we weren't going to put our clothes in our car and asked for a golf cart, she handed us the keys to one. She stated that she needed to wait for the pest company to confirm they were bed bugs. I asked how did the cleaning lady miss THIS. The room was COVERED - CRAWLING all over the walls and bed. She offered to put us in another cottage and gave us the keys to a new one. We were still trying to process what had happened and what we need to do. While we were combing through every inch of clothing and materials we had- we have three kids, it was a lot, we layed everything out in the sun to be bagged up for the dryer. Amanda ended up coming out to the cottage and brought another female with her. They were able to CLEARLY see the bedbugs alive and well all over the place. I asked how the housekeeper overlooked this and the young lady with her was the one who cleaned the room. Amanda explain that no one had been in the room since July 10th. There was no way no one was staying in this room for more than a month because those bed bugs had been thriving and were in several generations of cycles of life. After putting our clothes in the dryer, Amanda came over to the golf cart and grabbed the keys to the cottage she has previously moved us to and stated that the room was not cleaned? Was this cottage also infected and after checking it she took the key so we didn't see that one to? She handed us now another keys to a THIRD cottage. We were never able to go into any of the other two because we were still going through our things. After everything started setting in, we decided we didn't want to stay at Resort anymore looked for other places to stay. Amanda offered to refund us for our cottage and finally the cottage next to us who were family we came with. We booked a stay at a local hotel and it was not where we would normally stay but had no choice because most higher rating resorts were sold out of the dates we needed. So now we're vacationing out of garbage bags trying to keep everything contained. We purposely chose to stay at your resort because of the clean grounds and friendly family environment. Now we are stuck in a room that the smell of weed are coming through the vents exposed to our young children. We went to urgent care on August 16th as the swelling and itching became too overwhelming. I was able to receive a steroid shot however due to my son's age, OTC remedies were the only thing we could give him. It was heartbreaking to watch him covered in bites. He was extremely uncomfortable and has been crying and scratching. My wife was not able to receive the steroid shot as she is still breastfeeding. We had to pay for our co-pay and numerous visits to the pharmacy and OT medicine out of pocket. We were not able to enjoy the rest of our stay due to how uncomfortable we were, having to search for a new place to stay, moving, having to get resettled, having to go to urgent care and several visits to get OTC medication.

Was great. Had fun. Cart ran well all week. Open communication and punctual. Great spot.read more
