This is the nicest park with great amenities, great management and wonderful campers! Now, we all know that there will be a bad apple in every bunch and we all know that changes are made every year. It's those changes that seem to rile people up. If you come with goodness in your heart and abide by the rules, usually you will not have a problem. This is not a party life RV park, this is a family oriented park. Please try us out, look at the RV'S and Park Models we have for sale and then look at the hugh expansion we have just recently finished. What a wonderful place to be!!

The FHU's worked flawlessly. They pick up trash from your site. They had a live music duo and a giant bubble machine for the kids Memorial Day Weekend. Even then, it was still quiet each night. Nice little trail to a local coffee shop house and a very cute little "fairy island". Plenty of different sites. No pull thru's available. We had a back-in that was very big, easily handling our 42 ft fifth wheel and tow truck. And frankly, it offered more privacy with the trees and shrubs between sites. We enjoyed our stay here. The pothole and the circuitous exit were the only negatives. The exit can be a bit tricky to navigate, particularly if there is a rig parked at the office. After the office you need to take a weird left turn, then you have to avoid any incoming traffic. Oh and if your GPS wants you to turn left out of the park or do a U-turn down the road - go right and use the Military Cutoff Road.

It has one of the best designed traffic flows I have seen. You drive to the back, find your row, take a left and pull into your slot. Look on their web site if this doesn't make sense. It's super easy. Every site is a very flat concrete pad with plenty of room. All roads are asphalt and are in perfect condition. It's the easiest place to get into and out of that I have seen. They have all the expected connections at every site. No cable, but there are more than two dozen channels available via antenna. They pick up your trash. Super nice pool. Golf carts for rent. Places for kids and dogs. The grass is very nicely maintained. The place is secure with a real gate that they give you a card to open. Everything here is first rate. The staff was super nice. We got an Amazon delivery but we're off at Bald Head Island near closing time they called us about it and we said just leave it by the door... someone took the time to bring it to our site! While you are there, definitely take the ferry out to Bald Head Island. It's not far. I definitely recommend this place and honestly will say that it deserves more than five stars.

This was a lovely park for a family hike to see the Snow's Cut trail in late March 2024. Weather…read morewas ideal - cool in the 60s during the early afternoon. Lot of pluses. First, it's free to enter the park. Second, the visitor's center has plenty of maps and clean restrooms. Third, dogs are allowed in much of the park (except the marina). We walked along a paved road with our dog along the perimeter heading in the direction of the Snow's Cut Bridge (this is the road behind the Food Lion). From there, we entered the Snow's Cut trail which had a lovely view of the cliff and water. It's an easy trail with a gentle grade. You'll see some Spanish moss and scenic views of Snow's Cut. Near the middle of the trail (where the shortcut to the campground begin), we enjoyed an informal picnic lunch of lox bagels (from Seaside Bagels) and admired the cliffside view of Snow's Cut. On our return walk to the parking lot at the Visitor's Center, we walked by the campground which had tent sites (for car camping) as well as cabins. It looked really nice. I know there are many more trails, but we only had time to explore the Snow's Cut trail. Spring weather is ideal (very few mosquitos because it got chilly in th evenings). Would probably avoid hiking in this park in the heart of summer unless you enjoy bugs.

There is a small exhibit area about some of the animals, geology, geography, and history of the area. We hiked the 3 mile Sugar Loaf trail. It was more challenging than expected due to the sand. The weather was very pleasant the day we went in the spring. We saw quite a few other people enjoying the trail and having picnics. We heard a lot of birds including woodpeckers. The variety of trees and pinecones during our hike was fascinating.

We met tons of friends, enjoyed the 4th of July events, and loved the beautiful area. For future campers, Purple sites were great - right across from the bath house and each had a picnic table. Only downside was that they didn't have a fire ring, but it was too hot for a fire anyway! The Bath camping spots across from us did have fire rings. Everyone we met from employees to other guests were fabulous and made our experience amazing. Can't say enough good things.

My husband had to work out of town so we figured why not get some use out of the camper instead of staying in a hotel. I came down for the weekend to help him set up. The check in process was easy and the office staff is friendly. There are full time residents here. Everyone we met was friendly. We had a few issues we had to fix on our golf cart and my husband didn't have certain tools he needed. One of the maintenance employees lent my husband the tool he needed and was helpful. Our site didn't have a fire pit ring. My husband asked about getting one and soon after we got one. The Inlet at Lanier has playgrounds, a pool, laundry facility, and a dog park. There are different level of sites. We stayed on a basic site (R37) with full hook up. The basic sites are close together but not as bad as previous reviews made it seem. If this was a vacation for us we would have booked one of the other sites closer to the water and dock because of personal preference. Just call and let the office know what you're looking for and I'm sure they will help you out. We will definitely be coming back here! If you don't like something about an establishment, express your concerns and give the business a chance to fix it! Don't just complain and give a bad review!

They make you pay in full up front and if you don't cancel more than 14 days out you lose half your money. So for 3 nights we lost over $150. Imagine if you book a week or more how much you would lose. Not worth it. How could we cancel in time with the Nor Easter as no one knew that far in advance. Worse yet is when we cancelled we asked them to pass our dissatisfaction on to the owners and they said this is the most common complaint and the owners DON'T CARE! Will never consider this campground again.

Loved this campground! We've stayed at several KOAs and this one is pretty good. The location of…read moreour campsite backed right up to the playground, which made for a great view and lots of entertainment watching the kiddos slide, swing and play. Bath houses were in good condition as well, always good to count on that. The pool was a bit crowded for us, but we were there on July 4th so that's pretty understandable. They also had some holiday events like a bubble foam cloud that the kids were running through. All of the park staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved walking to the cafe from the campground and had a nice lunch there one afternoon. The campground is also convenient to many other attractions in Wilmington and not too far from the beach.
