Willy's used to be a staple in Pittsboro - hot, fresh, and delicious. Bringing home a pan of their cinnamon rolls became a bit of a tradition for our family. Over the last couple years however, the flavor and quality of their once-famous cinnamon rolls has changed. Their icing has become somewhat bitter and the dough isn't as soft and delicious as it once was. We would happily make a trip downtown just to bring some home. It's been a while so I went in today to give them another try. I arrived just after they opened and was told they'd have no baked goods or cinnamon rolls for 20+ minutes. The person working there (not the main owner) didn't seem to be bothered by the idea that a business that specializes in baked goods had no product on shelf at the time they opened. We've always supported local businesses in Pittsboro and really hope Willy's can get back to their roots and their distinctive cinnamon rolls and high quality service they used to be known for! read more

Fabulous warm cinnamon rolls. They sell cookies and other items but the main event are the rolls, deservingly. A but hard to find as it is back from the main road but look for the school across the road. read more

Small shop deep into Pittsboro (for this CH native). But the cinnamon rolls were well worth the drive. And so affordably priced ($10). Friendly staff who got me in and out in no time. There's nothing comparable to these treats. Glad I made the drive. read more

Wow what an amazing find! I'm writing this as I'm getting a sugar rush from cinnamon roll and cookies I bought. I stumbled upon this spot as I was going to the liquor store and decided to try it. The place is very quaint and the cashier was super friendly. They had a good variety of cookies, cupcakes and cinnamon rolls you could buy individually or in a pack. I didn't have much expectations coming here since we stumbled upon it but when I bit into the cinnamon roll man was I floating on club nine. It was so delicious! And I thought the cookies were going to fall flat but they were just as good! We got the chocolate chip and wopper cookie. But all in all the cinnamon roll was the winner. Willy's Cinnamon Rolls are excellent. These are very sweet rolls. Unlike a mass produced cinnamon roll, every single bite is good, not just the middle! Only a couple local people have told me they don't like the rolls - and it's only because they are SO full of sugar. Personally, I am a fan. I do not eat cinnamon rolls every day, but when I do, I want a sweet, sticky, delicious roll. That's exactly what they sell here. They have other baked goods and sodas here as well! read more

I wanted to go here on Sunday but google had the hours wrong they closed at 12 and when on Yelp it said it was permanently closed. Started out with a Cinnamon roll when they first opened... SOOO GOOD! Today I decide to stop in and see what they've been baking this morning. To my delight I see a Carrot Cake sandwich. So, we were on our way back from a ride in the country when my wife thought to stop at a bakery in a small town called Pittsboro. Now, we had heard that Pittsboro had several bakeries but we could find only one, after all, how many [good] bakeries can a small town support? Asking around we learned of a bakery called Willys and got the directions from a lovely Sheriff's Deputy [yes, she was a female]. Once there my wife ran into the store and I drove off to take a few shots of something that caught my eye on the way over. I returned 20 minutes later and my wife jumped into the car. Drooling in anticipation of a tasty snack when we returned home, I asked, "So, what did you get?" "Hot Cross Buns." "Say what?" "Hot Cross Buns. That's all he had for sale. HE makes them personally following his mother's 'cherished, old' recipe. I guess her name was Willy. Oh, BTW, he's as old as we are." ". . . as old as we are," I thought. That means these buns will be like antiques. Once home, my wife threw the buns into the freezer to hold for Easter. Easter morning came and we dived into our Easter Eggs and hot cross buns. ZOWIE! The buns were terrific, the best we ever had. Even made the eggs tastier. So the moral of the story is: Go down and getcha some. You don't have to wait until next Easter. read more

These are the best cinnamon rolls, as good as my mothers. A hidden gem in Pittsboro, I lived here 5 years just found it this month. Second visit I just need to count my calories, I do not want to put all the weight I loss back on. On Thursday and Friday they have bread available, the variety changes so be ready for a surprise. read more

The attendee was not wearing a mask because he has asthma. I also have asthma but was wearing a mask. He then said he would not wear a mask. I pointed out that I was wearing a mask because I wanted to protect him and if he wore a mask it would be to protect me. He said he was old and wouldn't wear a mask.
