The guys at Willy Ts were so nice. My mom was in the mood for some fried fish, just fried fish and they were happy to accommodate. Seeing that I was on a Drs prescribed special diet, I wasn't going to have the pleasure of ordering until I mentioned I could have a cup of veggies each day. That's when they told me that even the entree only orders receive their signature coleslaw. Like most food trucks I expected a on ounce or 2 scoop but when the fresh and hot fried fish was ready it was laying on top of a generous portion of mouth watering slaw. I have become quite the veggie coniseur in the last few months and this slaw was delicious. It was a brocolli slaw base which is one of my favorites, with carrots and cabbage all mixed in a creamy dressing. I have to admit I was a little bummed thinking I wasn't going to be able to enjoy the food trucks with my friends and family, but the guys at Willie T's helped make it an enjoyable time! The most deceiving food I've ever I've ever received. I was in shock when I opened the box compared to what the menu photo looked like. Small portions of shredded lobster meat covered in an abundance of sauce. The picture showed delicious and lump lobster meat. I literally feel taken advantage of by ordering this. Awful. We tried out Willy T's Crab Shack back in October at a Jazz festival in Sanford's Centennial Park. Willy T's has been around for a while, and I have been meaning to give them a try. We ordered the Big Fish with fries (13.80 with tax). The Fish was perfectly cooked with a nice golden-brown crust, served with tartar sauce, lettuce & tomato on a hoagie roll. The chef knew that my wife and I were sharing the dish, so he was nice enough to add extra fries. We could tell that our meal was fresh & cooked to order. My only complaint that I have is that with Covid-19 restrictions in place during the event, I was surprised to see the operators of the food truck serving customers without face coverings. Also, there was no hand sanitizer available, and the condiments were organized in a way that anyone could cross-contaminate the packages. We would return to Willy T's in the future because the owners are friendly and the food is delicious; however, I recommend that the business take more serious Covid-19 precautions during these events to encourage consumer confidence in purchasing their product. read more

I encountered this food truck at the Light Up Clermont event. One of many seafood trucks; however, what set this one apart was the crab. They were the only one to offer the crab and I was willing to pay whatever I had to for good crab. The pairing threw me off a bit because I couldn't imagine placing a breaded patty on a bun to mask the flavor of some great crab but I went with it; $16 for this and fries. It came with lettuce, tomato, fries and a garlic aioli. I opted to get hush puppies instead because I'm not the biggest fan for fries. The hush puppies tastes ok but were on the small side and probably because of that they were overcooked. They served a good amount of them but I would opt for a small quantity if the hush puppy was bigger. It would be less likely for it to overcook. The crab cake had a great flavor but it was deep fried. I've never had a deep fried crab cake before. All I've ever had were pan seared which made this feel overly cooked. It was also extremely small for the price. I realize that the cost of food has drastically increased and if they were compensating for that then let us be sure that we are serving up the very best (i.e., pan fried, and good quality ingredients). The last component (garlic aioli) is what I typically look forward to the most but it is served into a very small container which makes it impossible to dip anything but fries and then they use a lot of course ground pepper. It makes it very spicy and hard to enjoy the garlic creamy goodness. It tasted ok but it can get overwhelming very quickly. Lets talk prices for a moment. Everyone at the event charged $5 for a side of fries. This was the only truck to charge $7. What is so amazing about these fries that they can charge so much more? Do they make them from scratch? Give you a huge portion that can serve 3 people? I don't quite get it. Granted, I didn't taste them. This is just a cost analysis A food truck has very little overhead beyond the costs of the ingredients and the actual truck. If a 10 lb bag costs $10 at max or a 28 oz bag of frozen higher quality brand costs $4 at max, that means they are making a killing off of it (About $10-17 profit on the frozen bag depending on the portion size per order or $60 IF the serving was 1 lb per side). read more

Their food truck was at Southern Hills Farm. We all had the crab cake sandwich with onion rings and fries. Everything was left in the deep fryer way to long. The crab cake was overcooked and small, the onion rings were burned. A total waste of $15. read more

It's is supposed to be a crab shack. There is one problem. The so called crab cake was about 80% fill and I am being generous. It actually feels like you are eating a hush puppy with a hint of crab in it, almost undetectable. But I have heard good things about this place and will be giving it another chance. Was excited to try this food truck. Really wanted a crab cake with sides not a sandwich. Wasn't an option , ended up with clam strips and Mozella sticks .. paid and tipped waited for food . when i got to table and opened the container, the food was way too dark. deep fried too long. lots of small pieces like rocks Reminded me of mrs paul from grocery freezer section at store .the Mozella sticks i peeled off breading. was the only good part of meal. they throw lettuce pieces under the hot clams to make it look bigger and of course these were nasty and soggy will not use these guys again. they did sell coke products though should have just gotten a coke although it was probably way over priced read more

Whomever was the cashier (it might have been the owner) at the truck was PHENOMENAL. My husband and I turned to each other after we ordered and said "Man, he was SO nice." He made sure to answer our questions and give us exactly what we were looking for. He also remembered us when we saw him again and he asked us how the food was! Man, talk about incredible service! I split the crab cake sandwich platter with my husband but wish I had one all to myself because it was THAT DELICIOUS. It was one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. It was hot, fresh, seasoned, and just all around incredible. The garlic aioli was top notch and paired well with the sandwich and fries (I LOVE a good dip / sauce). I visited the Willy T'a crab shack truck at the Southern Hill Farms fall festival. I was very excited to give it a try. I ordered my crab cake sandwich platter and had a very simple and harmless request. "Could you please cut the sandwich into four." The lady behind the counter just said "no we don't do that." In a very condescending manor. She even went as far as to claiming that they don't have any knives which is a physical improbability in food service. They have to cut the diced tomatoes they serve atop they're calamari which is literally featured in pictures in the front of the truck. Reading through the menu there are several things that are served diced. All of this is to prove a point. I gladly paid $16 for a sandwich. She could have very easily said yes, but instead was rude, and dismissive. I will never return to this truck, nor recommend it to anyone. It's a shame too, because the food was good. A little customer service goes a long way especially in this day and age. read more

Wow, I really enjoyed my spur of the moment lunch here! The Crab Cake Sandwich was a little piece of heaven between two pieces of fluffy bread. I added some garlic aioli on top of the crab cake and literally it was so delicious I would eat one right now if I had the chance. Definitely not something you should pass up if you're a fan of crab! Next time I want extra garlic aioli so I can dip my fries in that deliciousness. The lunch was very reasonable - 9.99 for a drink, the sandwich, and a side (I ordered fries since they were out of hush puppies, unfortunately). Saw this food truck when I was driving around. Decided to give it a go. I don't believe I ever had a crab cake, my wife didn't either. We got the lunch special #2 combo which includes a crab cake, hush puppies on the side and a drink from the cooler for about $9.99 each. Food didn't take long to make, maybe around 8 minutes. I got a couple sides of the garlic aioli sauce to eat it with. Oh man. I'm definitely having food from this place again. The crab cakes with the sauce were absolutely delicious. The hushpuppies were great too. They have a sign stating that their crab cakes contain no filler or preservatives. You can definitely tell, the food just tasted so fresh and well made. Do not waste your money! I don't know how someone can mess up so many fried dishes. The staff in the truck were completely oblivious to whether or not the chicken was real white meat of that fake McDonald's over processed junk. So I skipped the chicken and figured how can you mess up fried shrimp. Well they did. Everything was completely over fried and is wasn't butterflies shrimp. It was like the little shrimp flavored medallions with tails that you get at Long John Silvers except you pay twice as much here for them to over fry it. I got a "Maryland crab Cake" (also over fried) and the 12 "butterfly shrimp" and spent $40.00. This just about ruined my day when I got the food. How do you mess up fried mac n cheese bites. It was crust with yellow mush inside. Even the fries had not an ounce of salt or seasoning on them. Do not allow yourself to be scammed as I was. You will not enjoy this food. read more

So May 10th I asked Willy Ts Crab Shack if they would be one of the food trucks at our Harvest Fest event. July 28th they confirmed that they would be there. Today I emailed them just to confirm that were still coming. Thank God I did because they told me they weren't coming. Come to find they are going to be at another event this weekend. It wasn't as if this new event just popped up they have known for a little min because they have been at the same event for two weeks. They have had more than enough time to contact us so that would could find another truck, but they said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. If I hadn't contacted them I'm sure they just wouldn't have shown up on Saturday. I can't stand poor customer service and I promise we will never use them again! read more

Good food , great service. I would recommend stopping by and crabing a crab cake sandwich to take a break from the shopping and most of all support small and local business. We have food trucks that show up every Wednesday. I tried this truck for the first time. It will be the last time. I had the Crab Salad and it was way to salty and spicy for me. I'm from Maryland and these are best Crab Cakes we've had outside of MD. You can find MD style crab cakes all around FL but none of them make it right adding extra ingredients like peppers. I went to light up clermont and saw this truck vending with other trucks. Crab cakes sounded good so we got in line, We were in line about 15 minutes before they took our order. After we paid we get a ticket with a number and no food. We were told to wait behind the truck, It took over an hour to get our food. They never told anyone that the wait would be that long and just kept taking order after order . When we were finally served the food we were very disappointed.
