Came in for Taco Tuesday; ground beef tacos came with salsa and they were really good! Also had chili with onions, no cheese and it was great! Don't remember what I had first time here, but it was positive experience both times. So glad to discover this gem close to home. read more

My husband and I walked in and were greeted in a very friendly way. The greeter then asked asked "two?" My husband replied "Yes, can we sit outside?" she hesitated, thought about it, sighed, and said "Follow me." It was quite obvious that our request to sit and eat outside was a major annoyance and inconvenience to her. She again loudly said "Follow me." as she was approaching the door to the outdoor deck. Still in shock by her reaction, I told my husband that I would rather go as it's obvious we have annoyed her. He agreed and we left. Ironically, she was outside on the deck where the tables were, when we approached our car. She heard me grumbling to my husband, and said, "I asked you to follow me." I responded, "Yes, after you gave us an obvious attitude that it was an inconvenience." She said, "I'm sorry, you have a great day now!" It's summer, it's beautiful outside this week, the heat and humidity are both considerably lower than it has been lately. There are many tables, all with umbrelas on their nice sized deck. Three people were sitting at one of the tables. What exactly was the annoyance with our request to sit outside? Was it because she was too lazy to put an umbrella up? was she too lazy to serve us outside? I was so impressed with the food here. I ordered the grinder with was a bunch of lunch meat and bacon and other stuff packed into a soft fluffy bunn that went terrific together. It was so good that I wanted to order another to eat but I was just too full from the first one. I highly recommend the grinder. My partner had a salad which was good for a salad but that sandwich I had was top notch. I highly recommend it. I know I said that already but I'm saying it again. Service was great, price was great and there was a good little crowd in there that night that we got to mingle with. If you are reading this and wondering if you should stop by and order something, do it. You'll probably love it as much as I did. read more

The food was ok at best (tacos, pub pretzels and wings) and the service was some of the worst I've had. I asked for mustard for the pretzels. she a knowledged me, but never brought the mustard. She was to busy talking to what looked like another employee eating at the bar, to worry about anything else. it should be noted, that there were only 7 people in the bar. She had zero personality. Tonight we were greeted by the sensational staff, (including Steve, Sharon & Janine). We ended up meeting and eating with family and friends. Janine, our sweet server for the evening was absolutely a pleasure. Tonight's starters included the French Onion Soup, the pierogies, and the onion rings!!! All received an A+ rating. Sooo, from the steamed clams, to the roast beef, to the "Rachael", all received raving reviews. I would never go back to this establishment and the staff should be embarrassed. We go in, in a larger group and order a specific drink. well hundreds of dollars later and it was the worst drink missing the main alcohol. We bring it to the staffs attention after 20 minutes (because she's very good at ignoring patrons) and she rolls her eyes at us and has the worst attitude. Next we sit there about another 30 minutes before being asked for another drink with the cups sitting empty (at the bar). She finally gets us drinks and we ask for the tab, common sense would say that this means we want to pay and finish our drinks. Some of the party went outside to smoke, some still at the bar and I go to the bathroom. I come out and someone else is in my seat and I call the bartender to ask where my drink is. She replies with the most disgusting attitude that she threw out our drinks because we said we were leaving..... we never said that just paid the check so we could finish up and not wait a hour for a check. This is exactly what we were looking for after shootin sport clays at the club. A basic pub that served bar food. The draft beer was cold and cheap. The appi sampler platter was huge and cheap. I am from Jersey remember... The burger was a bit tiny and overcooked, but not bad. And the seafood chowda was fantastic! I'd stop there again just for that, gotta try it if you like creamy seafood chowder. Hope my rating brings the average up a bit as its exactly what its advertised to be, a local pub serving pub food. Will definitely stop here again next time we go shooting. The chef was nice and I chatted w/ him about how he made the chowder. The wait staff was fine. We sat at the bar. I was only here once and I would like to go again! That being said, it is a smaller place and I can imagine probably gets a little cramped at times (which I'm personally not a huge fan of) so that was my only gripe. I was referred by a friend to try them out on Taco Tuesday. I did but was definitely disappointed. I wasn't a huge fan of them (I think they fry the shell?) however I did also order the sample platter beforehand and the wings that they brought out were EXCEPTIONAL. That's the only reason I'm looking forward to going back, honestly. They were crispy on the outside and had great, flavorful sauce...just awesome. Big thumbs up for those! read more

We picked our table, waited over 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. I was beginning to believe we had to go to the bar to get a drink. She took our beverage order, gave us the place mat menus. We were disturbed by no prices on the beer menu. Brought our drink order then we waited another 10 minutes for someone to come back. Best food, best drinks and best servers! The Arnold Palmer (alcohol) is refreshing as well as their other drink specials. They always have steamed clams on the menu and their seafood chowder is out of this world delicious. They make their own burgers and real onions rings!!! Came her with some friends. Food was typical bar food. A bit too oily a bit too preprocessed. We had the jalapeno poppers and it tasted like it was previously frozen. Stopped in last Saturday evening for the first time in many years. Service was extremely slow and hardly there. And we were only one of three tables by the time we left with customers at them. The food was good, actually slightly better than expected but waiting over 5 minutes for a waitress to notice us (when we were the only occupied table in the dining room), then several more minutes to get our drinks didn't make for a good experience. Great place to grab a beer and a good bite. Steve the bar tender slash editor is attentive. Never waited for a new beer. I rarely eat shrimp or any seafood at a local bar but twice now I have gotten the steamed shrimp and it has been wonderful both times. Desert at a bar yes they have great cheese cake. If you are looking for a place to go to get good food and cold beer without getting dressed up this is your place. Just keep in mind some of the people at the bar don't realize there are other people and they get loud. After about 940 they are all gone and it quiets down. read more

The Willow was recommended by a colleague of mine & I will say the food was great! As for the server, Sharon, she was a "too friendly". I am sure she did not miss the wedding ring or maybe did not receive the hint that I was not there for a pick up? My hubby and I enjoy Willow Street for their inexpensive food that's a few notches above standard bar food fare. Good drinks, decent beer (they have a black and tan special that they call the half and half). The portions are a smidge smaller than before, but that's what I've been seeing everywhere nowadays. And, yes, they do have a strange smoking/age policy. Try one of their lighter fare dinners for just $8.95 - one small portion entree plus two sides! The Willow Pub is exactly what you would expect from a country bar; good food, cold drinks, but a little short on ambience. We've eaten at the Willow more times than I can count. Our favorite right now is their chicken cheesesteak. If you're in the mood for potato pierogies, have at it! They are gooood! Sometimes, the service could be a little faster but for the most part, it's fine. They have a deck so you can bring your dog and eat outside. Pretty cool! read more

Poor service with greasy food doesn't make it worth it. We liked sitting on the deck to get away from the smoke smell inside even if no one was smoking it must been left over from the night before. While sitting on the deck we became surrounded by all the bar people coming out to smoke. This was a loosing cause. Stop letting the deck become the smokers lounge and I would come back. read more

Went with my son and we had a pleasant time. Dinning room only has maybe 10 tables and that takes up half the restaurant. The other half is a u shaped bar that was full by the time we left. Crowed at bar was late 20s to mid thirties. Service was ok and the food was above average. With that said I would go back, we did have a Nice time. read more

I've been eating at the pub for years and it's my favorite place to eat. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the food is really good.

Poor service - took way too long just to get a pitcher of beer, and when it came, there was a small, black dirt ball with a hair sticking out of it on the back of the pitcher and one of the glasses had dirt on it on the inside! It then took another half-hour or more for a plain steak sandwich! Not to mention the prices which, for the amount and quality of the food, were too high. Only good thing was the chips that came with the sandwich; otherwise this place wouldn't have gotten even one star. read more
