I love coming here for deep tissue massages with Jeff. This location is so relaxing, and all the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The front entrance has many seating areas for you to relax before and after your massage. Inside, it appears like a renovated home that has multiple massage rooms. You can also do your massage outside in the backyard space, which also has a great lounge area where you can recover. Jeff is a great massage therapist, and he's very good at identifying and targeting areas that can use some work. After just a few sessions, I have felt so much better and feel rejuvenated for the long term. Willow Spa is only open a few days a week, so make sure to book in advance, especially if you have a preferred massage therapist. Such a lovely gem of a place. I've driven past this location so many times and never realized that such an oasis of tranquility was behind the main fence. It's like stepping into a whole other world of calm as you cross the entry threshold. I had a lovely foot bath and wonderful massage with Nicky. She was so attentive, asked me if I wanted focus on any particular body areas, confirmed with me how much pressure I preferred. Massage table was heated and Nicky double checked that the temperature was to my liking, adjusting as needed. I appreciated the air filter in the room as we continue to navigate COVID-19. I relaxed so much that I think I fell asleep for a bit during the massage. I left feeling so rejuvenated (almost regretting that I had to step back out into the real world!). I've been coming here for over 10 years and have never had a bad massage. I see Yukie when I'm ridden with knots and need an extra firm deep tissue massage that hurts so good. I also love going to Nicky and Cynthia when I'm looking for more of a relaxing experience with balanced pressure. After your service concludes, the therapists greet you with a cup of water and offer aftercare tips while walking you out to the front desk. Talk about hospitality, they truly go above and beyond here! (Fun fact: many of the therapists have been working here for over a decade! It speaks volumes about a business when they're able to retain their employees for such a long time. Most importantly, if you find a therapist you love, you don't have to worry about them disappearing the next time you return!) Chris and Gigi at the front are always friendly and professional. I think it's worth sharing that once, during my massage, there was a particularly rowdy group of women having a spa party at Willow. They were so loud that I was unable to enjoy my massage, so I asked my therapist to inform the manager. They not only addressed the group's noise level immediately but also offered me a discount at checkout for the inconvenience. I thought this was handled really well. My husband purchase a gift card here for myself and two of my friends for Christmas. I was pregnant at the time we booked our initial appmt, and the baby came early so we had to cancel. We finally got around to it today! We were all so excited to go especially because the reviews here were so amazing. Unfortunately, it was a complete let down. I got the deep tissue massage. I cannot recall my therapist's name. She was nice and this is not a review on her skills itself. My knots from carrying my 7 month old has been addressed. Just so you know, this is like an old house that's been converted to a spa. The pictures on the Yelp reviews and the website are INACCURATE! The "waiting area" that you see on this Yelp page is NOT the same place. We were taken to a dark area, and sat on a wicker "couch" across the bathrooms. You also don't get to just chill and relax with your friends by any means. It is pretty much a wambam thank you, m'aam kind of place. There was no tea, no foot soak like the reviews on here. Are those even real?!! I was taken to the very back of the house, outside and into a cement like room with a wooden sliding door. The room was cold and loud from an AC running somewhere, but not for my room. The massage bed was cold, the blankets were cold, I was completely frigid. The only warm thing was the substance she used to massage me. But then, because if the solution, I was even colder from the cold air hitting my body. There was music playing, but I can hardly hear it over the awful noise! There was no candles, no essential oils in the air to get me to relax. She did take an hour, which I appreciated, but after it was done, she waited for me outside, gave me water and ushered me out saying my friends were outside waiting for me. They were not. Out of courtesy I tipped generously, but it should've been cut in half. My recommendation is to NOT go here. For the price, totally not worth it. read more

The Willow Enzyme Bath is fascinating & Willow Spa is the only place in Southern California that offers this bath. It essentially feels like a sauna, but for your body only (whatever is buried by the finely cut wood shavings, rice bran, and fruit and vegetable enzymes.) A hidden gem in West LA! Highly recommend this little oasis! This was my first time here and I badly needed a facial. I let the esthetician examine my skin and recommend a treatment. We went with a 60 minute Willow Facial with a Mangostein Peel add on ($15 extra) so that extractions were easier. Loved it! A small head and shoulder massage was also included. Would recommend Juniper if you're getting a facial. She was very knowledgeable. The ambiance is calm and peaceful and you can hear the water streaming throughout the common area. We booked the 60 minute zentastic massage which comes with a complimentary 15 minute foot soak prior to your massage (so arrive on time!). Suman was my massage therapist and she was so lovely and worked RIGHT into where I needed her to. I need her in my life everyday, I'm sure of it. The facility is adorable, and I could spend all day there. They did not rush us out even though we had the last spa appointment of the evening. They even allowed us to continue to sip on tea and sit in the garden area. Chris checked us out, and he was the best. He explained to me their loyalty program where basically you can accumulate double points with your services during the last tuesday/thursday of every month to redeem in the form of credit towards a service. I'm a fan of Willow Spa especially due to their organic facials. I've had good massages as well but their facials are pretty wonderful. They have totally turned me on to Eminence Organic Products. I have very problematic skin and each time my face feels great when I leave. Willow Spa is in a converted old house on SM Blvd that you check in at the front door where there's a small reception area that also has some products for sale and then you exit, walk along the size of the house where there's a very sweet courtyard to wait at for your treatment. They have a small locker room there as well. This waiting area can get uncomfortable during the hotter summer months but it's serene and if you're getting a full body treatment you'll enjoy a nice rose petal foot bath prior. They also give you a glass of this wonderful tea upon finishing! YUM. A few things to keep in mind: there's only street parking (mostly metered) and it's hit or miss with what's available; so plan ahead. I've gone there and driven for 15 minutes looking for parking and also when there's 10 spaces free. Be aware of what the price is and what you are asked to pay upon leaving. The last 2 times I was asked to pay more than my treatment cost and it's always an oopsie! One time is a mistake but twice... I'm starting to wonder. Lastly, the prices are a bit overpriced for getting a no frills spa so look for a special/deal. They also sell gift cards so you can put this on your gift wish list. read more
