I had a great experience with Wendy awhile back at another studio (overose) but wasn't able to keep seeing her bc of my schedule. I recently looked her up again and was so happy to find out she opened her own studio with more appointment times! I can only speak to deep tissue massages with Wendy, and in my experience she's very skilled and STRONG. She looks for your problem areas & knots and actually works into them. I usually have to ask for more pressure but never had to with Wendy -- she's deceptively strong and I always leave feeling much more relaxed. The studio itself is also new, clean, and modern, while still giving a traditionally deep tissue massage. There are also thoughtful little touches like the heated herbal pillow at the end of the massage and tea when checking out. I booked a deep tissue massage with Wendy, and it was excellent. She has very strong hands and was incredibly precise in targeting areas of tension. The space feels fresh, clean, and brand new, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Wendy has been my weekly longtime masseuse for the past 4 years so when she & her daughter Jakitha opened their own studio, I was super excited to follow her and support this wonderful new woman-owned business in Culver. Firstly, there's plenty of parking on Girard, where the entrance is, & you're greeted by Jakitha who is super lovely & welcomes you into the studio which is brand new. It's super clean and beautifully & thoughtfully designed giving an immediate sense of calm when you enter. Secondly, Wendy is extremely skilled and always knows what my body needs to relax & reset. She always adapts her technique and/or pressure depending on what issues I might be dealing with that week. And make no mistake, she's little but she is STRONG! And I LOVE the extra treat of the warm herbal neck pillow and eye mask towards the end of the massage... chef's kiss! My husband also gets weekly massages so he's trying each of the other masseuses to find his preferred person. He tried Jeff and was extremely impressed with his strength and technique. The rooms are private & well appointed with brand new, extremely stable and comfortable massage beds with detachable headrests and optional heated blankets (which I truly appreciate as I always run cold). They have lovely relaxing music piped into the rooms & I also love that you can't hear people in the other rooms which I always find distracting. Oh & the lighting is really soft & warm which is nice because there's nothing worse than finishing a massage & having the lights blinding your post-glow zen. I love massages at various levels- luxurious and relaxing atmosphere that might be pricey as well as the budget friendly but maybe a bit more bare bones and rushed space. Studio Be Well might be the ideal combination of budget friendly but also beautiful, modern, minimalist space and vibes that create a peaceful environment plus the benefits of an excellent massage therapist (Wendy ) whose deep tissue massage released tension in my shoulders I've been unsuccessfully trying to address at other places. I believe the other therapists at the studio are also experienced and skilled. There's a current limited time promotion for free hot stones if that's your vibe. Logistics: booking is easy and you can book/filter via therapist availability or soonest opening. Parking is street parking- commercial loading zones are directly out front of the studio and are available to park in after 6:00 M-Sat and all day Sun. There's some more UNmetered parking just north of those spots but two hour limit during school afternoon. Metered parking on Washington. I was a little confused about the booking process as I booked my preferences online but you fill out a form again and when you check in to reconfirm. I didn't realize and I didn't re-check everything I had previously selected. They confirmed before my massage started. There are also aromatherapy pillows for certain services but if you are very sensitive to smells I would recommend considerin passing. read more

Had an interesting experience here, the atmosphere is great, everything is nice and clean and minimalist vibe. I would like to start off saying my massage was great and my masseuse seemed really knowledgeable. My fiancé and I booked a 90 minute couples massage. We're both in the same room so I can hear everything that my fiancé is saying to his masseuse. My fiancé told the masseuse at least 5 times that she was going too hard and he wanted less pressure, but I guess she didn't listen because 40 minutes into the appointment my fiancé got up and said he was done and left and sat in the waiting room for me to finish up. Now I don't know about anyone else but I always leave a massage wishing I had more time, not leaving early. The owner (I think) was out there when he came out early and asked "is everything was ok." Which is fine to ask but if I had a client walk out of a massage early I would have been like "what happened why did you leave ur massage early, did something go wrong?" When I got done with the full 90 minutes she proceeded to ask me how my massage was, and then proceeded to charge us for the massages. She charged me for full massage which is fine because I used the full time, and charged my fiancé for 60 minutes even though he wasn't in there for 60 minutes. We proceeded to walk out and there's a hidden step/ledge that my fiancé tripped over and fell and hit the door. There's no signs saying watch your step or anything. We got to the car talked about what happened. I ended up going back in and complaining and she did refund my fiancé's massage in full which is nice but I shouldn't have had to go back in there and ask for a refund. Also when I went back in the lady asked "is he ok, he was acting kind of strange earlier even before the massage" but it didn't seem like a genuine concern it almost seemed like she was referring to him being like hungover or something. As a business if you're not asking your client why they left early or avoiding asking questions about the situation and not immediately offering a refund after a bad experience I think that leaves a pretty bad impression. My wife and I came in today for the first time! We both had Vicky. I got the 60 minute Thai massage / medium pressure and my wife got the 60 minute deep tissue / strong pressure. Overall, our experience was great and we highly recommend! Parking is relatively easy as you can park in the neighborhood behind the business. The staff is extremely professional in the way they conduct business (can book appointment/customize service online, confirmation call, staff greeting at the front, offering bathroom, etc.). The massage itself was really enjoyable. Vicky took the time to check how tight my back was. Then she worked through various knots and checked a few times if the pressure was okay. Admittedly, there were a few times I fell asleep and snored a little, so it was very relaxing at the same time! After the massage, I was offered tea or water and payment was extremely easy. Amazing experience here by Wendy & Jikartha (front desk - I could be wrong with her name, I have the memory of dory lol so plz correct me if I'm wrong). Parking was a breeze. My massage therapist. Wendy, made sure to focus on my trouble spots, and was very communicative with me throughout the whole time, especially if I needed a bit of a deeper pressure because my knots were quite abundant lol. I booked a BE GENTLE massage by Wendy and I was amazed with her ability to release all the body tension I had. As a self-proclaimed massage connoisseur, I know the difference between a "nice massage" and one that is actually healing -- and this is healing. I saw Wendy at Studio Be Well for a 90 minute deep tissue. She definitely used her muscles haha. It was perfect and the way she massaged the feet and ankles were incredible because I feel like most people forget about the feet. The establishment is clean and quiet which I love and it was aesthetically pleasing. The aroma therapy pillow at the end of the massage was heavenly and I definitely will be back! Ps.
