It is wise to step outside your environment and, in the case of this current venture, go visit an Alpaca farm. The Menagerie Hill ranch has beautiful animals. The host was awesome and knowledgeable. We increased our knowledge of the animals and of the farm but also got to feed them. We also had the opportunities to get close and personal with them for pictures. They were all friendly and fluffy. I recommend this unique experience for all because if you do not just break your usual pattern to stop and smell the roses or to pet and feed an Alpaca, life will pass by before you know it. Put your life on pause just for a few hours and go see the Alpacas. They would like to share peace with you. You can find them at the Menagerie Hill Ranch

We stayed in touch over the next several weeks before settling on an August date. We braved the high temps and winding roads to arrive at the ranch. It's a beautiful space on a hillside and you can see the herd and their guardian llama as you pull into the parking lot. We learned a lot about the alpaca life cycle, fed the boys, and my daughter got to hold and carry a cria. We bought two cute alpaca shaped soaps. I didn't experience any of the negativity others have complained about. It is a working ranch so it's not a petting zoo or a tourist attraction. Go with the flow and you'll have a great experience.

She parked farther and walked in on purpose so the kids wouldn't think she drove here which was a nice detail. She did story time and sang , magic tricks, a bunch of fun kid group games/activities with music on portable music device which she had technical difficulty which is understandable and perfectly fine so we helped with spotify on our cell phones. Please be on standby host parents to help carry character's belongings. For host parent, consider charging up your own Bluetooth music speaker to have ready as backup. We had food and games and she was so helpful too with gathering kids and singing happy birthday. She provided a tiara and special bracelet for the birthday girl which was perfect. All the kids and parents were so amazed and enchanted with the whole experience that parents sat and enjoyed and also filmed the experience. We had face painting and she had time for guests to take some pictures too. we loved how we could have a Disney princess come to our home. There's a small travel fee of course since we are outside of the normal area. Would highly recommend while your kids are young and still into characters. Ariel stayed in character and price point was good too. Thank you Cinderella company for helping our daughter's dreams come true.

We had originally considered having a petting zoo, but after finding Bunny Gurus, we realized it was actually the better option for our party. Instead of a large setup with lots of different animals competing for attention, this gave the kids a more personal, hands-on experience with the bunnies. They were able to slow down, interact with them, and really enjoy the experience in a way that wouldn't have been possible with a traditional petting zoo. From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless. They responded quickly to my inquiry, answered all of my questions, and made everything incredibly easy. Their website clearly explained the different packages, and we chose the smaller package, which still included 10 adorable bunnies--more than enough for our party! The staff was absolutely wonderful with the children. They were patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the rabbits they care for. They shared fun facts about each bunny's personality and habits while encouraging the kids to gently interact with them, build trust, and bond with the animals. They made each child feel special by pointing out when a bunny seemed to like them, which really boosted the kids' confidence and made the experience even more meaningful. They brought everything needed for the setup, along with a huge variety of bunny-safe treats that kept the kids engaged throughout the event. The children loved getting to feed the rabbits, watch them do fun tricks with certain treats, and our birthday kids even got the opportunity to hold a bunny at the end! If you're looking for a unique, interactive, and memorable party experience, I can't recommend Bunny Gurus enough. It was such a special addition to our celebration, and both the kids and adults absolutely loved it!

The other one has a branding advantage since it's actually called Heron's Head Nursery and actually looks like a nursery, This one right next door is far more eclectic. The owner (or person who works there ) was drunk, smelled like alcohol (mind you it was around noon mid week) and did not seem to care one bit on giving much attention to his plants(not to mention costumers). His radio was full on volume when I tried to ask something. The 1 star it less for this person's lack of service manners. It is for the very neglected, poor way they kept their plants on. Most plants on display seem to be super dry, shrunk and sad. It looks like maybe this place used to be a beautiful, when someone cared for it. Probably supporting native plants at one point, but now is it so run down, more like a dumpster (with some nice chicken to break the monogamy of yellow/brown dying plants). Too bad, as this place was highly recommended by the California native plant society, they sure need to update the records.
