Fantastic place! My 7 year old son and I have been here 3 times this month alone. The park is small and charming, with enough variety of rides to keep the kids entertained. It's offseason now so there are no wait times, we can ride all 7 rides in under an hour. The staff are wonderful, very accommodating and friendly. Prices are fair given the amount of fun rides available, and the overhead costs the park likely has. We'll be Pixieland regulars for a long, long time. Pixieland was fun! A small kiddie amusement park. Roughly 1-2 tickets per ride. If you have a toddler they will still need a ticket and an accompanying adult. However, you can easily spend $30-50 in a short span of an hour. I have mixed feelings about the vacancy of this place. We went on a Saturday afternoon but there were only a handful of families there l-- leaving the much of the park vacant. It was nice because we didn't have to wait in line or fight for parking lol but time also flew by quicker. I'd come back once in awhile as it was nice and community-oriented. If you want to spend $100 and less than an hour, this is a great place to bring your kids. The rides seem well maintained and the place is clean, but the duration of the rides are incredibly short. Some are less than a minute and others, like the merry-go-round, are literally only 2 minutes long. Considering the tickets are nearly $3 a pop and some rides require up to THREE tickets for each person, this is an absolute rip-off. It's clear that the people running the park just want to wring as much money out of parents with small kids as possible. My kids had fun but we were left having to explain why we had to leave so soon and they seemed genuinely puzzled about why they had to get off the rides so soon. Also, there's a sign that shows the height restrictions at the roller coaster. The bottom line says "Under 36" ride with an adult" with an arrow pointing down. The girl working there said my 2 year old was too short to go on the ride and that the sign meant that only kids taller than the bottom line could ride. I don't have a problem with height restrictions on rides but either change your sign so it means what it says, or train your employees better, because she didn't understand what the sign actually said. read more

Finally took a stop here during spring break. They only open during certain times in a season so check their hours online. We came on a Wednesday during spring break and it wasn't so crowded that we couldn't get on rides or had to wait long. It also got more crowded towards 11/11:30. PARKING - free parking, easy to find, good amount of spaces. COST - it's free to enter, you just have to buy tickets for each ride. TICKETS - depending on which ride you go on you might need 2 or 3 tickets. Also, if your child is shorter you may have to go on the rides with them which means you would also need a ticket. My son is 3 and on the shorter side so I had to go with him on the windy grove cars ride. If you buy tickets in bulk you save, so I would plan to calculate ahead of time how many tickets you think you'll use and get that many. Also if you use cash you save even more. I got about 26 tickets and used them all in the 1 1/2 hours I was there and we got to go on almost every ride and some multiple times. The tickets never expire so if you have some leftover you can reuse them next time. ATTRACTIONS - this is definitely a really small "amusement park" which is more of a park with little carnival type rides. The inside is small enough you don't even need a stroller for a walking child. The rides are fairly well maintained although a little jenky looking compared to disneyland of course. Also if you've been to adventure city in anaheim/buena park this is not as nice. However, for a 3 year old it was perfect. My son was able to go on all the rides (except roller coaster and frog since he was scared) and he got to go on multiple times. At most we waited 5 minutes for rides. The people that work there are very friendly, helpful and nice. We barely made it on for the train ride and the worker asked someone to move so we could fit on. Train - one main attraction is the train ride but note that it runs every 30 minutes so be sure to get in line when it's about to board. Also, the first ride is 30 minutes after the park opens. It goes around the park, near the duck pond and out near the road. It's not that scenic but for anyone who loves trains it's nice. Otherwise, some favorite were the windy grove cars (we went 3 times) although a very short ride, you basically just pretend to drive a car around a track. The helicopters is your typical dumbo type ride. Then, the merry go round is also standard. Tea cups is also standard. FOOD - we also ate lunch there and their food was pretty good! The corndog is hand dipped and fresh, my son enjoyed his. The hot dog was good, I liked the bun which has a costco-like chewy bun. Overall, for a morning with a 3 year old I can't complain. Although in the end I spent almost $30/person if you count how many tickets I got. It's not that cheap but my son had a good time. It's probably a good spot for 3-6 year olds. read more

What an adorable little amusement park! My son was invited here for a birthday party, and this was the first time we've visited. There are enough areas for multiple parties, and the park is a good size for kindergarteners. Each ride uses tickets, which can be purchased at the building along with food. I saw some kids with wristbands, but the wristbands weren't listed on the price sheet on the window, so I'm not sure how much they cost. Our favorite ride was the roller coaster--be aware: there's a turn that whips around kind of fast! The day we were there, there weren't enough staff to cover each ride, so the staff member had to take turns going and running different rides at different times. I actually really liked this place. Free parking and no admission fee. U just pay for ride tickets which is a little expensive but they have more staff than traintown which I truly appreciate. There were also no lines for the rides. I wish I would have known that shoes are required before buying the ride tickets. One lady at the cashier said it was ok because my babies feet were covered. Also fyi my baby doesn't walk so she was wearing socks. We rode the little car and the merry go round. We tried to ride the train and teacup but were told we couldn't because she doesn't have shoes. Then we tried to ride the carousel again and this time it's not that she doesn't have shoes but she can't ride this time because she doesn't sit up on her own even though last time we rode five min ago my husband and I were both Holding her on each side. I'm not sure why those rules were made just when we came. It's confusing and not all staff were on the same page. I feel like the rules were made after meeting us. I understand it's a safety issue but then we should have just been told that we can't ride anything from the very beginning and not sold me any tickets. read more

Perfect to take Littles to , rides are age appropriate, grounds are clean , rides seem older but well maintained. Staff seems to be a combination of principles, possibly owners/ family, and younger seasonal employees that might be normal summer help, far from a Carnival staff. Our grandsons , all four, always enjoy the rides and family style venue. No entry cost, buy ride tickets and food items, expect $35 to $50 per child to do all the rides and have some food/ bevs. Grounds are accommodating for family gatherings and kids parties with picnic tables, shade and group areas. read more

Bought tickets, were told our sons shoes would suffice for their rules. Went on a ride( underwhelming--a ride around a public park essentially) , then in the second ride they tell us that his shoes aren't hard bottomed enough so he can't ride. They weren't interested in giving us a refund. I put my adult shoes on him, ridiculously, so they would at least let him ride the merry go round as it's his fav. Somehow an infant wearing a size 11 women's ugg boot increases his safety on the ride... It should be noted that i have not bought hard soled shoes for my son because he only 8 months old and HE CANT WALK YET ( they aren't actually recommended for medical reasons in kids that young as it can change foot shape). They also play a Disney soundtrack of some kind which I'm suprised they get away with from a copyright standpoint, cuz let me tell you if I were Disney I wouldn't want to be associated with this place. At more than 5 dollars per person for most rides it's a rip off in my book. I was willing to spend it to have a happy day with my kid but just left angry after fighting with the one staff member who felt the need to enforce policy without any logic at all. Our two year old and her toddler crew had an amazing time! She ran from ride to ride for two full hours- favoring the planes, teacups and carousel for multiple rides! Mom followed tickets in tow. It's big enough for Littles to spend some real time and small enough for parents to chase after them and still be able to hold a conversation! I'm 51 and my grandparents used to take me to Pixie Playland when I was a kid. I was so excited for nostalgic purposes to take my grandkids there. However, I spent $30 in about 20 minutes and the excitement quickly wore off. I know they say that they don't charge any admission and everything's free except for the rides. There's literally nothing to do here, but go on rides in. It's a very small amusement park. My grandkids enjoyed it but at six dollars per kid per one minute ride. The money will go fast. The train ride is six dollars per person and last a total of four minutes. It was OK but insanely expensive. I think you could literally go through money slower at a casino. read more

This is such a fun place for the younger/little kids. It's basically as if they took Legoland and wound up all the rides for younger kids and put them in Pixieland. Omg! This was our first time here and we had a blast! They are a little under staffed so be patient and they may have to close early. But took my niece (3) and she enjoyed herself. The prices were a little high so I am not sure I would come back often because there aren't that many options for rides too. I am giving less stars because of an unsafe ride. Two-and-a-half year-old Jenbert Jr. went for the first time today (April 2022) and absolutely loved it. She wanted to go on all the rides again and again, especially the merry-go-round. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday either. From a parent's perspective, I like how simple and economical it is. You literally pay for only the rides that you go on and don't walk out of here feeling as if your wallet got emptied. Parking is free, admission is free, you can bring your own food and (non-alcoholic) drinks, etc. What other theme parks, amusement parks or fairs give you this much freedom? I like that there aren't the typical amusement park games with the big prizes and other loud, gaudy features. It's simple, and caters to the toddler crowd without being overwhelming. An overall win in my book. It's just right for the preschool crowd. She's ready to come back. read more

We came here for the first time with a 5 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old. I was very impressed. It is clean, there's a good amount of staff. The theme of fairies and pixies is well represented throughout. Most everything is hand painted and you can tell they repaint it regularly and everything looks bright and fresh, not faded and old. Even the horses on the carousel were very well painted. They have about 8 of them that are super hero themed which I loved. We bought the Family Fun Pack (I believe) which is 50 tickets and that was $102. It seemed a little pricey, considering most rides are 2 tickets (and there are some you have to ride with your kid, so that's extra) and then two of the rides are 3 tickets. The tickets did go fast, but we had about 10 left at the end of the day, which never expire, so that's something we can use in the future. We will definitely come back. I think they should focus on expanding a little bit. The rides they do have are old and rickety and there's only about 7 things to ride there. The roller coaster especially is really hard on your body as an adult. and I think they could definitely use an upgrade on that. There are definitely some big upsides to coming to a place like this. The lines were almost non existent. I don't know if that's because we were there on a Friday or if that's always how it is. They also do two loops on the roller coaster which is cool. Not sure if they'd do that if it was a big theme park. They do allow the parent to ride the carousel with the child for free, however, we went on it twice, and the first time, the person took two tickets for my husband. I brought that up the next time we went (because they didn't take tickets from me) and the person was like "I guess someone messed up." There was no offer to give us back 2 tickets, which seems like very little, but at Pixieland, it's a whole ride for someone. The train was probably the coolest part in my opinion. It's a nice long ride, and goes a decent speed. It rides around the little lake and next to the street where the cars drive past. That felt worth it. Finally, the parking is free! Always an upside. I have been on the email list for this place for about a year, and they literally never send out discounts or any promotions, I would like to see some of that! We went to pixie land with our 3 year old . Big parking lot and there more extra space in the other side . Carrousel is nice you only need 2 tickets and free for the adult incase your little one need a guardian ridding it. Dragon roller coster is 2 ticket per head. She really enjoyed it , this is the 1st time she ride a roller coster . Air plain is fun too you only need a 1 ticket to ride this one. We all ride the choooo choooo train . This is a nice experience. We went all around the pixie land . All driver's that passing by out side the street are waving and horning . All kids are enjoying it . 2 tickets per head . Glad they finally opened up - for now weekends only from 11 - 3pm. Took my three year old niece for the first time. We had a late start and didn't arrive until about 1:30pm. After checking out all the options, I let my niece decide what rides to take since she is selective and then decided how many tickets to purchase. You get a slight discount if you pay by cash but I purchased 10 tickets for $26.13 (charged it). Website is full of good info. Thank goodness no admission or parking fee. (I think that would be a huge deterrent and less people would come.) The place does get busy and parking might be tough if it's crowded. It's a popular place for birthday parties as there were 2 parties going on. In the time we had we rode the Merry Go Round twice, the train express once and the Buggy car once (she had fun pretending to drive since the steering wheel moves). Merry Go Round was not crowded and my niece was able to select a pink horse to ride both times. Due to the weight limit, adults are not allowed to ride on the Merry Go Round but you can stand next to your little one and no ticket needed for the adult standing. The train express ride (2 people per car) was fun because as you pass by the street where cars drive by - sometimes cars honk and we waved back. Note that it could be a little cramp for someone who is 6' tall. Also when we were there - the train express does not run continuously - you need to check the posted time when it will run next and wait in line accordingly or it could get full. Warning - there were a few energetic elementary age kids running around who cut in front of us while we were waiting for the train express. There are also a few coin-op rides for toddlers. They require 4 tokens - so there's a machine for you to stick your $1,$5, etc. and you get tokens to use. My niece selected the Ferris Wheel which is a bucket seat that goes up and around in a circle like a ferris wheel. We didn't have time for anything else - since we got there late - it was good enough for us. Don't think my niece can handle the roller coaster or frog ride. My niece had fun. read more

Don't come here if you are a single parent with 2 kids under 2. They WILL NOT allow you to go on any rides with your toddler if you are ergoing your baby. They have rides that include the airplane that goes in a circle, train, cars, frogger (kid drop zone), merry go round, teacups and mini dragon coaster. No park entrance fee and can bring in food and drinks. It can get busy here in the afternoons so keep that in mind. Each ride will range from about $2-$4 per rider depending on ride and is based off a ticket system. The ride tickets do not expire and they do have a cafe with food for adults and kids. They do have a few picnic tables and a party section if you wish to have a party there. You can spend about two to three hours here depending on crowds and if workers are at every ride not having to go back and forth. read more

This place deserves more credit! Outside of Disneyland, how many places can offer 2-5 year olds a chance to fly a plane, drive a car, or ride a roller coaster? Admission and parking is FREE. Gilroy Gardens down in the South Bay charges $37 per entrance ticket plus $15 for parking, and my experience down there was less memorable. Pixieland is great for a short, afternoon trip. We love grabbing brunch and then heading over there on the weekends. Its small size is perfect for toddlers who are ready for a nap after 2-3 hours anyways. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. As a parent, it is a joy to see my little one just having a blast on the rides. While the train chugs along around the park and turtle/duck pond, cars passing by will honk as you wave at them. My son's personal favorite is the "Frog Hopper" - somewhat of a mini version of Drop Zone at Great America that goes up as well as down. I know it's wildly exhilarating to him because he is just screaming and laughing the whole time. One day, my kids will outgrow these things, and I will cry a single tear. I hope Pixieland continues to thrive and be a special family-friendly place in the Bay Area for many years to come! read more

We LOVE Pixieland! How have I not reviewed this place yet?! It's my favorite place ever! It's clean, fun, magical, well run, and an inexpensive day out with your family! Our daughter is obsessed! They have a cute little train, a roller coaster, carousel, airplanes, cars, and other fun rides for your littles! There is a snack bar for food, and free parking and free admissions. So you only pay for the rides you're on with buying tickets and food if you want any. We've always been treated wonderfully by the staff here...it's a super family friendly fun place. We watched an episode of Daniel Tiger where he gets a shot, and his mom told him to close his eyes and think of a happy place, and so I asked my 4 year old daughter where her happy place is, and she said Pixieland :) read more

Save your money and go to a different amusement park. Tickets are very expensive, staff is rude and seem confused. I witnessed the carousel ride operator try to stop a little girl from riding because she was a short a ticket. This was before the ride operator demanded I provide an additional ticket for said child. When I advised that she was not my child, she shut the gate on my child preventing her access and then proceeded to remove the other child. Absolutely ridiculous. I offered an additional ticket so child did not have to get off the ride but the father showed up with an additional ticket. Pixieland loves money. Go to Smallworld Park instead. $6 all you can ride and crawdad fishing. ETA: owner thinks they are generous for not charging admission to the park or for parking on top of the overpriced rides as they complain about increases in minimum wage. Owner was also confused thinking I was upset the young girl operating the ride because she shut the gate on my child. No, it was because I was witnessing a kid get kicked off a ride over a missing ticket which is already overpriced because the owner is incredibly greedy. Try Chuck E Cheeses, Small World Park, or the many free water parks in Brentwood. read more

As a child I loved the lake and the "amusement park", however even then I was aware that everything was so slow & boring. A lot to like about this place if your kid is the right age. I brought my 14 month old daughter here. There wasn't much for her do, but it was still a fun experience, and I look forward to bringing her back here when she's older. Rides are crammed together a little, which is actually impressive considering how many rides they can cram into a small lot without making patrons feel like they're stuffed in a sardine can. They have a couple of "rides" for really young kids like mine, but most are aimed at kids who should be at least two years old, maybe even a bit older. I wouldn't recommend coming here just to walk around. While Disneyland can be fun for a small child who can't enjoy the rides (since there are so many fun decorations and Disney princesses to see), there isn't much here beyond rides, which is not at all meant to be a criticism. For what this place is, it's easily deserving of 4 stars. I'm tempted to give it 3 starts, since food prices are comically high, but it is what it is. You don't have to eat their food, so just come, buy some tickets, and enjoy riding kiddie rides for a couple of hours. read more
