The only bad experience here was when I had to have a cracked-all-the-way-down tooth pulled, I really should have taken the option of going to an oral surgeon on that. But that's more about me and my tooth pieces than it was about the dentist. Dental work can be scary and uncomfortable at times. My first 3 visits with Dr. Swartz were ok. He didn't have the best bedside manner, but he got the job done, pain free. He was maybe a little condescending, but my teeth were a wreck, so I probably deserved it. On the 4th visit, he totally lost his patience with me. He was unable to completely numb my tooth for a root canal, cracked my crown, and then snapped at me to hold still when I flinched from the sudden, sharp pain. There was no compassion felt, and his attempts to completely numb me were done begrudgingly and half assed. He wound up telling me I should just leave, and find a Dentist who could sedate me after I had my baby. I left in twice as much pain, and in tears.
