She let me know that the following Saturday, when my family was planning on shopping with me, they were booked. However, she offered multiple options - either booking the salon for a private appointment on Sunday (that has a $75 charge) or she said she could schedule an appointment with me earlier in the week for me to narrow down dresses I liked and then she would be able to squeeze me in for a 30 minute appointment on the Saturday that my family was coming in. I appreciated how accommodating the team was. I booked an earlier appointment during the work week and the owner of the salon, Amy, helped me try on about 8 different dresses. She was very kind, patient, and helpful. The team there is a staff of 3, Amy and her two daughters. It's a small woman-owned business. When I arrived on that Saturday with my family for the 30 minute appointment, they were actually able to give me an hour in the salon trying on the dresses I had narrowed down. While I ultimately purchased my wedding dress from another bridal salon, I wanted to highlight the excellent customer service Silk Bridal provides and their great selection of affordable wedding dresses. You can order a gown from the salon or purchase a dress off the rack. The dresses I tried on ranged in price from $300-750. Some dresses on the rack are consignment, which is why they are available at a lower price, but they all appear to be in great condition and of very good quality. They also have a nice selection of jewelry and veils. The salon is clean, well lit, organized, and provides a comfortable and intimate shopping experience. Definitely recommend.

They took down my address and explained the dress would come to their shop first for quality control then be shipped to my address. When the dress arrived, they did not honor that promise and gaslit me about the conversation ever taking place. I had 5 guests with me at the appointment, all remember the same conversation. They tried to charge me additional shipping cost ($75) that was never discussed when I paid for the $3,000 dress. Then when I was trying to arrange the delivery, I left 3 unreturned voicemails before they texted me saying they were going to charge me a "storage fee" for not collecting the dress. Beautiful dress but atrocious service. Awful experience.

Negatives: For the appointment, it cost $35 for the to try the dresses on which we thought was reasonable given the time and attention given during the appointment. However during check out we were surprised that the sales person assisting us asked for a tip in the hundreds of dollars range! This really surprised us as we used our budget on the dress and veil and did not account for a tip. At no point during making the appointment were we warned that a tip would be asked for. After we were not able to afford a tip the sales lady was visibly upset and did not even offer a garment bag for the expensive wedding dress we bought. Although we are excited about the dress it was a strange customer service experience. I think if a tip is expected customers should be warned so that they can budget for this. Additional negatives were we not offered water during the appointment which I think would have been nice touch (especially if a tip is expected!). Also the sales lady pressured my sister into writing a positive google review before we could leave the appointment which left it as a weird experience for me.

They apologized for the wait, and I got to browse the store while they were finishing up. Ashley, who ultimately ended up working with me because they had a few schedule changes, was finishing up with another customer. So instead of making me wait longer, she asked someone else to help me get started while she finished up. My family sat on the couch in our little viewing section while she took me around and helped me pick out my first few dresses. When Ashley was able to join me, she looked at the pictures I had saved as ideas and picked up a few more. I had a great experience shopping for my dress. The idea of it had been overwhelming at first, and I was so nervous about it. There are so many different styles and so much to choose from! But based on the very vague ideas I had in my head about what I wanted, Ashley was able to pick out dresses I really loved. She made me feel so much more at ease and less anxious about shopping for a dress. I ended up trying on eight dresses, with the seventh one being my perfect dress. I still wanted to try on the last one because it was already in the dressing room for me, and I thought I might as well because you never know. And even through she already knew my choice, she let me go ahead and try it on anyway. After putting on that last dress, I knew which one I wanted. Ashley let me put it back on, and when I did, I didn't want to take it off! She let me stand there on the box in it for a while, put on the veil, and even handed me a sample bouquet so my sister could take pictures! It was such an amazing experience that I almost wish I hadn't found my dress simply so I could do it again! I chose a dress that I never thought I would have loved so much, and it's all because of Ashley's ability and experience. She knew exactly what I wanted even though I didn't!
