They greeted me warmly, ask me to have a seat, and helped me very quickly. I explained that I used to get my haircut at the other location off of Centerville Turnpike... Unfortunately, that location shut down and my stylist moved elsewhere. Her new location is much further for me, so in a desperate moment in which my schedule was tight and I needed a cut, I went to a "fast food" style hair salon... I definitely regret that... My cut (at the other place, not here) was choppy and not at all what I asked for... I have hesitated going somewhere to get it fixed, knowing I would need to pay again. I do not regret a penny that I spend today, however, because Michelle did an incredible job and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did she fix my hair and fade it perfectly, she showed me a couple of different options to stylet without having to use a flat iron, and even encourage me to go with my "natural wave" and showed me how to work with it... something no one has ever taken the time to do before. I really enjoy what she showed me and it's going to save me a ton of time in the morning. I spent a few extra dollars to be here instead of someplace quick and cheap, but it's worth every penny for Michelle's experience, her friendly demeanor, and a cut that I am extremely happy with! She looked at my hair and was like "kind of like balayage?" And I said yes because my previous hairstylist always referred to my hair as "balayage-ish". I should've known something was wrong when she wiped out syran wrap instead of foil so that's my fault for not speaking but but I'm a trusting person. I also needed a trim. JUST a trim. Homegirl chopped my hair off and then gaslit me by telling me she didn't. Ontop of that she told me it was my fault for how I sleep that one side was growing better than the other so she had to fix it. I understand my hair was damaged on the ends but she easily took 2-3 inches off. I cried the whole way home. How do you not talk to someone before doing that? Communicate to your client what needs to happen and don't just get scissor happy because you think that's what is best. Now I gave it 2 stars because I guess the "blending" is good? To be honest I can't even tell because the money pieces are just blocks in the front of my face, my hair is too short, and the cut job is awful.

My typical stylist is no longer to be found and his replacement at my usual salon left me wanting for more. After some recommendations, I tried this place out on a whim since they had an opening while I had gotten off work early. The sign of the place is a bit misleading since I think the it makes the place look dated. Once inside, I was proven wrong. It's definitely a place that is modern on the inside without going over the top. I was greeted by the receptionist and led to my stylist, Catrina. She got to my hair and did her analysis of how to "attack" my hair. My hair has a weird wave to it so there has to be some thought on how you cut it or I end up looking more like a lion. She cut my hair and made it feel tons lighter without making it too short. I also went a bit daring with her suggestion of styling my hair with mousse and gel. Usually, this style doesn't work since my hair has been so heavy or I didn't have the right product. Catrina had the right thing in mind and showed me how easy it was to do it myself. I got tons of compliments on my hair when I left the salon and when I recreated the hairdo myself... it was close enough to what Catrina had done that I had hope of styling my hair other than using flat irons, curling irons, etc. So happy with the results, I have found my new salon! =)

I very specifically said wash and cut for all of us. My daughters were done first and as they were being done I was called. The owner... was my stylist. I felt like I was a comedy roast when I left! She made fun of the length of my hair, the amount of time between cuts, the color or lack of, the amount of gray, the volume of my hair, how my hair wasn't thick like my daughters, she couldn't grasp that I didn't have my glasses on to see, she got upset that I didn't like the smell of the products being put in my hair, so she used less then her taste of products and made that very clear, she was annoyed that I wanted my hair blown dry. I have curly hair. I do not go to a "salon" to walk out with curly hair. She should know she has curly hair so she said. They didn't wash my daughters hair at all. We weren't local enough for her.
