I can't fault the products (except for the corn which was terrible) or the service. Everyone there…read moreis very nice even if a lot of them still wear face diapers. What prompts me to write a bad review is their "Black Lives Matter" banner where you can't fail to miss it AFTER you have given them your money. That organization is disgraced for a lot of reasons including embellishment, fraud but its their central message that is rotten to the core. The BLM -- and those who support the BLM -- say that some lives are more important than others. That isn't true. They also imply that the lives of police officers are worth nothing at all. ALL LIVES MATTER! These banners with the fists in the air are implying that violence against police officers is OK. They are saying that any officers (even minority officers) who shoot in self defense against a minority suspect is racist. I guess even the Black Cops are supporters of this white supremacy movement that we hear so much talked about but see zero evidence of.

Frozen local meats in the back left corner that were intriguing. There are deals to be had if you're willing to take a minutes to peruse the booklets on display at the entrance. Kind employees, slighty aloof but charming, although I haven't required much service besides checkout. The 3 or 4 times I've been, there have been homeless or disenfranchised men outside but they've generally been harmless besides asking for cash. Just expect it.

Red Barn Creamery and Sweet Shop (also apparently known as the Stearns Farm Stand) is part…read morecreamery, part bakery and part Farm Market. It's located in Storrs/Mansfield. The area is very cool. I parked roadside, but the entrance is around that side of the building and there was parking closer to the entrance. Out back, there is a great view of open land, grass and trees. There are a few chairs and benches and it's a peaceful spot to eat your food and let young kids run around. I bought an ice cream flight, two cookies, Silver Queen corn and heirloom tomatoes. I'm primarily reviewing the ice cream side of the business, but I'm factoring the other things in as well. Ice cream is always tasty, but I'd say the ice cream was about average for CT ice cream places making their own ice cream. I ordered a flight of Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Blueberry Cheesecake and Cow Palace. The flight came in a cup, rather than some sort of flat container that would keep the flavors separate. I feel like I had a good chance to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter (which reminded me of a Fudgesicle) and the Mint CC (which was kind of standard). The flavors below the top two, kind of blended into each other by the time I got to them. I picked up some cheesecake flavor and berry flavor and chocolate chips. All good. A highlight was the two cookies (a chocolate chip and a peanut butter chip). The kind person who helped me with my ice cream said she made the cookies that morning. My wife ate most of the cookies, but I tried both and they were fresh and delicious. I used a tomato for a BLT. It was good. The Silver queen corn was also good. Red Barn had a reasonably good selection of in season produce, baked goods such as pies, butter, milk, jarred goods. A good place to shop for stuff like that. Four Stars

Most of the time there is no paper in the gas station pumps. I check my receipts so it's a nuisance for me to have to go to the attendant each time. Also, since I pay dearly for a membership, I feel I should be entitled to any discounts without needing to clip coupons or check online for sales or use their app. I'm done. I'm finally cutting the cord and will not renew. I'm sticking with my Costco membership even though the locations are not as convenient. 100% better!

I called BJ's tire center and the said I had a pro rated coverage..which I know to be an industry standard. I go to BJ's to pay my portion and ordered the tire because it was out of stock. When the tire came in, I went to drop my car off, and they asked for my BJ's card. Well, it had expired and I had no plans to renew. They refused to mount the tire, or give it to me to do myself without a valid membership. Now, when I bought the tires there was no mention of continued membership to facilitate the warranty! A warranty is a warranty. It should have nothing to do with my membership. I had to go to the counter and renew my membership to get my warranty tire. I think that's a form of extortion.
