The flowers were so beautiful and lasted a very long time. The ladies and little girls were so excited for them. Met the owner; he was so helpful and friendly. As I was leaving he asked where I was headed and he even gave me a shortcut which was scenic and cut down on my travel time. Gotta love that.

Judging and the awards ceremony occurs late October usually a week or so before Halloween. This is our fifth contest and perhaps the largest we've seen to date, interest has been growing steadily since it began 6 years ago. Local vendors and artisans promote their crafts: jewelry, home made jams, jellies, preserves, bake goods, scarfs and artwork. The 4H club brings animals for display and petting making the event very interesting for younger children. This is a day of good wholesome family fun day, connecting attendees to rural life on the farm.
