I went back to Willy's for more work. I called in am, needed brakes badly, I couldn't be back in the area until after 4. No problem, they did great by my. I dropped off the car at 4, they did the tear brakes, which were really bad, picked yo the cat at 6. There work is amazing and there pricing is extremely fair! Went into to figure why my alarm has been going off randomly. They said it might be the auto start that was put on after buying the car but we told them that wasn't the problem since We had that removed then put back on by another mechanic since the alarm went after during that time. So that wasn't the issue. This mechanic still proceed to say that was the issue then took out the auto start and didn't put it back in after the alarm still went off with the auto start unplugged. We still payed for the first time and the second time since they said they'd put auto start back but didn't. They didn't listen. Didn't fix the problem and it was a waste of time and money for nothing to be done. read more

I was hoping the other reviews were not a real reflection of this business but my experience has been even less than 1 star. I made an appointment to get my battery replaced and was told there was no issue with the battery and that the alternator needed to be replaced. I gave the green light for that and then get a call that they need to replace the battery when that's why I brought it there in the first place?? not only that but whoever is answering the phones here thinks it's appropriate to hang up on customers when they ask for an explanation. DO NOT GO HERE unless you're getting EVERYTHING in writing. They will call you a liar when they're being dishonest. read more

I'm appalled at the way my 20 year old daughter was treated!!! We used this auto mechanic for years and we thought it was safe for our daughter to take the car there herself!! She made her own appointment and paid except they charged her twice for a NYS inspection!!!! BS!!! When I called about it they said it was allowed because the second charge was $27 not $37!!! I brought my jeep there a month ago and they did the same inspection 3x and never charged me anything extra!! Why because I'm a man?!?!? So unfair!!! Terrible! I have never been the typical person who goes out of there way to write a bad review, especially as I know how hard it has been for small local businesses over the last year and half. In the case of Willie's Auto Service, I had no other choice as it's important for people to know how incredibly terrible this shop is before bringing their car in for any type of services. I brought my car in to Willies almost 6 months ago, and in that time what should have been a quick alternator fix ended up turning into a damaged outer body (yes they hit my car with a flat bed truck whilst parked in their lot... then went to go back and forth for 2 months to get them to pay for the damages they had caused), a faulty alternator (they did refund me, but this took 3 months, and ultimately was not replaced with a new one), and countless headaches with lack of transparency, communication, and willingness to help. While I left Willies without paying a dollar as they fixed the damages they had caused, and refunded the faulty alternator; What they could not replace was the 6 months of holding my car and me being exactly back to square one with needing an easy alternator fix. As I live locally in Hamptons Bay, with many friends and family that have had problems with Willies in the past, I now regretfully wish I had listened to their clear WARNINGS to not go through this half-ran shop! read more

We originally went to Willy to get our car inspected. Upon inspection Willy told me the car needed tires. I ordered tires which came the next day. I brought the car back to Willy and he balance the tires and put them on the car for me.  He was super helpful and it was a very easy process. A month later we brought our second car to Willy to be inspected. It was a holiday weekend and he planned on closing the shop early on the eve of the holiday. This 2003 car needed a part replaced that was not easy to find. After locating the part an hour away from the shop we called Willy back to tell him we had the part. Our son needed the car to get to work the next day. He said bring it and he'd have one of his mechanics stay a little later and install it for us. While removing the old part from the car it became apparent that one of the bushings would also need to be replace and he'd have to order it. Willy told us the car wouldn't be ready but he'd located the part. He told us he'd call later to see if he could convince one of his mechanics to come in during the Holiday to fix the car. He did indeed call and told us his brother Franklin would pick up the part and fix the car. He made sure that we got the car back quickly and in excellent working order. His prices are fair, his service is exceptional, his heart is very big. He is a hardworking and honest mechanic, which is not always easy to find these days. I recommend bringing your vehicle to Willy if you need any fixes, big or small. We are forever grateful and will always bring our cars back to him. read more
