Windham & Bush Tire and Auto is a new business in my area and I've been passing by it every day…read morewaiting for it to open. The address says East Ventura, but technically it's at the corner of John Rodgers Drive and Hwy 11 (Gadsden Hwy.), between Birmingham and Trussville. In my opinion, going to a smaller place like this is more convenient than going to a dealership and prices are comparable to, if not less expensive than, those Express Lube places. I figure if I'm gonna give someone $30 to do a job, I'd rather give it to small business owners than a corporate franchise. Right? Right! Remember when you were a kid and there were auto shops where everybody knew everyone and they knew all about your cars AND your families? That's what this place feels like! I met Mr. Bush and he's is the nicest man! The day I came in was Customer Appreciation Day and there were sodas and fried fish plates for everyone! The place was packed! What an awesome way to have a GRAND OPENING! Mr. Windham and Mr. Bush have been working in and managing auto repair business 30+ years. I came in to get a tired patched and originally I was told it might be about an hour and 30 minutes or so. However, they got to me sooner than expected and the wait wasn't bad at all. Really nice comfy waiting area with lots of natural light and a coffee machine!! LOL! If you live on this side of town and need brake repair, oil change, alignment, A/C repair and a number of other things, give this place a try! I know I'll be back because I think I found my new auto repair shop!

However, since the first time that I came to Franklin automotive, not only was I well taken care of, but I was given trustworthy and reliable information. Today was the third time that they have taken care of my car in the past three years, and the service was incredible! I had planned to wait at a coffee shop nearby, and they offered to drive me there so that I could wait comfortably for my car service to be done. When it was over, they called me and sent someone to pick me up, every person who I have interacted with at Franklin automotive is not only kind but also very good at their job. We have had car trouble with a vehicle we recently purchased over the last few months. The defect in the car is not currently covered by warranty. There is currently a lawsuit against the manufacturer for the defect, but we've had to bear the expense for now and hope ours doesn't have the issue outlined in the suit or be accepted as one of the many plaintiffs on the case. Tim and the rest of the Panos team have been super kind to us, helped us borrow a loaner vehicle to keep our small business running when we desperately needed it, and been more than fair in their dealings with us in a way that I don't many other mechanic shops would... certainly not dealerships nor the majority of larger shops! This group is truly honest, fair and exceptional in what they do! I can't recommend them enough to anyone seeking great service with a business they can trust.

This review is for the location at 7136 Cahaba Valley Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242…read more I am deeply concerned by this business's complete disregard for basic customer privacy. After a family member left an honest, critical 1-star review regarding a pricing dispute at the counter, the owner retaliated by using their internal customer database to publicly post our family's last name, our exact vehicle year/make/model, and our vehicle's mileage. Exposing proprietary data online to punish a customer for an unfavorable rating directly violates Google's Maps User Content Policies against personal data disclosure. Furthermore, while the corporate Mr. Transmission Privacy Policy notes that individual locations handle local transactions, corporate explicitly states they can penalize franchisees who engage in "inappropriate online conduct". Forcing a customer to choose between protecting their personal information and leaving honest feedback is highly unprofessional. Consumers should be warned: if you bring your car here and choose to share your experience online, management may expose your private information to the public to save face.

I was told that it was not my wheel bearing, but my transmission that was making the noise. I went ahead and had the front brakes and rotors replaced. So after have three different people/places (including my boyfriend, who has a master C license) tell me that I needed my wheel bearing replaced, not only time was wasted, but an extra $125 to have someone look at my perfectly good transmission, was also wasted.
