They have a tube rental truck where we rented our tubes for the lazy river over at Rock Springs. We stopped in for a few beers and a quick bite after tubing. Immediately the vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Chill, relaxed and easy going. Our bartender was a lovely chatty woman, serving with a smile and great recommendations for what we should do next. We ordered food & drinks and played some tunes on their touch tunes jukebox box. We amused ourselves with the customary message on a dollar bill tapped to the roof activity. The food came out crisp and hot. Fries were excellent! Wings juicy. Chicken tenders fried perfectly. They are a beer and wine establishment. No hard liquor. An elderly gentleman man, who we assumed was the owner, came over to say hello to us and was very pleasant also with recommendations for our next adventure. I highly recommend this bar if you're into dive bars and a good time.

Michelle was phenomenal!!!She was attentive and made sure we were taken care of while dining in and with providing everything we needed for our to-go order! We both ordered the Papa's Waffle Platter. I had the Cinnaroll Lovers Waffle (no sugar glaze) and Mom had the Plain Malted Waffle. Scrambled Eggs and Bacon accompanied the waffles. We had refillable coffee while there. To-go we had Orange Juices, a Meatloaf meal and the Cranberry Crunch Salad. Everything was delicious. The Papa's Waffle Platter was very filling as we had hope. We only ate half of our waffles and also took those to go. We had taken in and enjoyed some of the restaurant decor. One of the items on the wall had a list suggested of rules for life. We stopped to read it as we leaving. The list reminded me of a conversation we had just earlier than morning. Positive affirmations and good advice received! Later in the evening, I had the Cranberry Crunch Salad. It was so good. The Raspberry Vinaigrette complimented the salad well. We hope to return to visit Michelle and Breakfast Barn again!!!

Just outside of Apopka and in the heart of Zellwood is this "gem of the south". It's just what you'd expect. Nothing fancy at all. Old family style booths, tables and even a counter by the kitchen window. This really is a place to bring your newspaper or a good book, sip on some good old coffee or sweet tea. The breakfast is very old southern country. They will make it how you want .... They also have waffles and pancakes and all the fixings. Removed from the bone for easy carving, this robust flavored steak eats like butter, into a surf and turf for the both of us. The sides were shared as well. Steamed Broccoli Florets, Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sweet Potato Fries Drizzled with Honey, and Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. All of which were amazing. It was a lot of food.
