During that time, my children even raised their hands trying to get someone's attention, but no one came to our table. What made the situation more frustrating was that multiple servers walked by, appeared to notice us, and still did not acknowledge us. A customer who was seated nearby after us was greeted almost immediately, while we continued waiting without any communication. Eventually, my husband had to get up and ask for assistance. One employee apologized, which I appreciated, but by that point we already felt ignored and unwelcome. I understand restaurants get busy and delays can happen. However, a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. As a Hispanic family, the experience left us wondering why we were overlooked for so long. I hope management reviews customer service procedures so that every guest feels seen and valued.

Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae's Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately -- we HAD to stop there. And let me tell you... January 3, 2026 -- this is all I needed in my life. This is GOOD seafood. Like, really good seafood. Freshly cooked. Hot. Flavorful. Done right. The service? AMAZING.
