The bad: At the register they waste ten minutes of your time trying to upgrade your purchase with specious extra warranties, join their buyers club and other gimmicks to upscale your purchase. This is a hardware store, not a bizarre in Mumbai. The chain hoist I purchased broke. They were not going to give me a refund or replacement until I produced the paper receipt. Finally, I found the email receipt and I was able to make the exchange. The fact that I bought the item 5 days ago and just used it. Today was lost on them. Terrible customer service , finally, I found the receipt on my email, which is a good practice, but it also seems the people there are not helpful unless they want to sell you some long-term warranty for extra money. Also, when you are buying something, they seem to be randomly walking around versus actually trying to help you. I am going to go somewhere else from now on. When I need a hardware item, I do not need three or four point of sale marketing gimmicks before they let me leave the store. That's pathetic. During every time the I shopped, I never felt pressured at Sears. I also was helped very thoroughly every time I visited the store. I returned it here, the manager told the woman working the register that they didn't accept returns because they were an outlet store and I had to return it to Jacksonville. The employees at Jacksonville said both managers that work at this store are worthless and that they flat out lied to me. There is no such policy and that they are a hometown store not an outlet store. Complete liars and scam artists! Avoid at all costs.
