We can't say enough good things about Ben and his team at Fredrickson Landscape! We started the…read moredesign process for our front and backyard in February, and the entire project -- from initial concept through installation, which just wrapped up last week -- was smooth from start to finish. Ben was incredibly easy to work with and kept us updated every step of the way. He also helped us coordinate and manage multiple other contractors, which made the whole process so much less stressful. His knowledge of plants that thrive in our area was invaluable, and his network of contacts made a real difference in the quality of the final result. Our yard is everything we were dreaming of -- we absolutely love it. Highly recommend Ben and his team for anyone considering a landscape project!

We hired Fredrickson Landscape strictly for design work on our Altadena / Eaton Canyon property,…read moreand they exceeded every expectation. Ben brought a perfect blend of creativity and practicality to the project. He helped us work through ideas for bark vs. rock swale areas, oak-friendly deck details, plant massing, River Wattle spacing, fencing and gate options, and even long-term maintenance considerations. The design is beautiful, functional, and perfectly aligned with the modern-Mediterranean feel of our home. Although the installation was done by another contractor, the clarity of Ben's drawings and notes made their job significantly easier -- everything was laid out so cleanly that there was almost no guesswork during the build. If you want a landscape designer who is thorough, communicative, and genuinely invested in making your space both stunning and practical, I highly recommend Fredrickson Landscape. The design alone made a huge impact on the final outcome of our yard.

First time we used Yelp for a project. It was convenient that there were numerous messages that…read morewere sent out to various tree specialists. Noe Pablo was the most thorough in messaging through the Yelp app, so my husband and I chose him. I had 2 medium-sized fruit trees I needed to transfer from my parent's home in Southeast San Diego to mine in North County. I took pictures and he gave us a very reasonable price. We also decided to also add another service to take out our palm tree. There were a couple of mishaps such as: The day he was scheduled to take out the palm tree, he was a no-show and my husband had to call him an hour after he was supposed to arrive. Then, the day after that incident, was the fruit tree transfer. He and his team forgot to bring their dolly. Thank goodness my Dad had one so they borrowed it, but now we have the burden in taking it back. Despite these mishaps, Noe was very knowledgeable and professional in his mannerisms. The day of the fruit tree transfer, he and his team arrived in a timely manner, was efficient and did a great job overall. We were very pleased and will definitely use him again if we have another project.

Small yard? No worries, Brookside has your back!…read more If you buy new construction these days you can pretty much kiss that yard space goodbye. Finding ourselves in this situation, we needed a team that could transform our "cozy" yard into a comfortable yet elevated outdoor living space. Enter Brookside. You know that feeling when you hire someone to do a big home project and hope that everything goes well, but you kind of hold your breath in the event that something goes awry? That won't happen with Brookside. From our initial call to the thanks-for-everything completion hand shake, they didn't skip a beat. Everything went SO smooth and communication was on point the entire time. Brookside is a well oiled machine. The conversations between us, Brooks and Jenny, and the crew were fluid the entire time and no one was ever in the dark about the plan. On top of that, everyone was so personable and professional. These guys are hard workers and leave your space clean and organized at the end of every day. We were so happy with how our space turned out. Brookside took our basic ideas for hardscape and softscape to the next level and created a beautiful designer yard. We would hire Brookside again in a heartbeat- and you should too!

His rates were twice as low than the other competitors. He even offered to stain the wooden fence (additional fee, not bad), whereas other vendors stated it wasn't included. His team (Sal, I believe) was nice and completed the job. They demolished the old wooden fence and built a whole new one. Waited 3 weeks to stain the wooden fence per protocol, which was perfect. He also said he would call me on Wednesday with the arrival time. Unfortunately, I never received the promised phone call, and Thursday came and went with no communication and no one showed up. I reached out to ask what happened, but by then I had already been left waiting. Things happen, and schedules can change, but a simple phone call or text would have been the professional thing to do. Ghosting a new customer after committing to a job is disappointing and wasted my time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company because reliability and communication are important qualities in any service business.
