We typically come here if there's an item we know we want to get in store. There's one older lady that will ride you the second you get in and doesn't have much of a sense of personal space. It feels like she's just hovering over you the whole time. I'm not sure if it's because she thinks I'm young and she's being ageist, or it's just her style. Also My wife was asking about a Staub pan (brand from Alsace - my family is from that region, used to be Prussia/Germany). Two ways to pronounce it: the Germanic way (correct), or the frenchified way (acceptable). My wife pronounced it the Germanic way. They lady corrected her in such a conceited and pretentious way - however she said it neither way. She did it in a poor attempt at the French one. Overall a good shopping experience if you don't have to deal with the one lady who will stick to you like glue, and acts rude to young people. Typically when we have to deal with her we cut our shopping experience short due to her being a bit much. read more

It was an appauling thing that one of the staff members, Jessica, treated a customer with a disability with incredible disrespect and cruelty. The customer had a hearing loss and was able to 'hear' by reading lips. The customer informed Jessica of that, multiple times, but Jessica refused to let the customer read her lips by lowering her mask. Jessica just kept yelling at the customer, "yes you CAN (hear me)!" and "get out of the store!" "leave!" Jessica had absolutely no common decency, kindness, or respect. On top of that, it is unlawful to treat someone with a disability like that. Businesses/staff are required to accomodate people with a disability. Even if it wasn't a law, common decency says they should. read more

Service over the phone was really good, but they must not communicate conversations to those relieving them because I came in and the two women working there didn't seem to know what I was talking about. My Aunt sent us a Le Creuset 3 1/2 quart round Dutch oven in the exclusive Ocean color that I fell in love with and only Williams-Sonoma carries. The one that was shipped to us wasn't defective, but it had a superficial imperfection. The glaze had hardened in such a way that some of the paint was poking out on one of the handles and I knew that would bug me every time I placed my hand on it, so I was looking to do an even exchange. I called Williams-Sonoma and they told me this location had two Dutch ovens in Ocean in the size I needed. I called this location and the woman with whom I spoke looked in the back and found one. I told her I'd like to see both and she said she'd look for the other. I told her it wasn't immediately needed, so she didn't need to rush at the moment, but I would be in later that evening. She said it was no problem and that was that. I came in around 6pm and neither Dutch oven was waiting for me. The woman who ended up helping me went in back and located one. She asked what was wrong with mine and had me check the new pot to make sure it didn't have the same problem. Once I confirmed, she tried to box it back up. I insisted she let me check it over more thoroughly and check the lid too to make sure it didn't have any problems and to make sure it was the right color. I felt she was trying to rush me and I wasn't given the option to check both that they supposedly had to see if I liked the glaze on one more than the other. After all, they are very similar, but no two are exactly alike. This is a very expensive item that will last me a lifetime. I'd like to make sure it's what I want. In the end, I'm happy with my exchange. It was quick and I got a good replacement. However, I wish they'd pay a little more attention to detail and work with you more to make sure you're leaving and won't be coming back again for the same reason. It was only 6pm and they close at 9pm. There was only one other customer in the shop, so it's not like I was wasting their time or holding them up from being able to help others. read more

I ordered a bread machine back in February for my daughter who has many children and thought I could help their family during COVID, by sending them a beautiful CUISINART bread machine. I was thinking ahead! Once I placed my order, I got a notice it was back ordered not the COMPANY CHARGED MY CRDDIT CARD even before I got the machine!!!! Each month I am checking to see if it's coming and the date keeps getting pushed up. They told me today I will not have it shipped until SEPTEMBER 4!!!!!!!!!! I bought a Breville slow pro and a Nespresso expresso machine. The Breville had sealing issues after about 15 uses and the expresso machine won't let water go through it because I didn't use it for a few months. William Sonoma won't do anything because they are too old. Some things I don't use often but you can tell they are well taken care of. I think just buy it from Costco. If you have legitimate trouble because the product is faulty and you can't figure it out in thrity days Costco will return it. I got no satisfaction from William-Sonoma so I wouldn't buy from them again. read more

Entered store for refund of online William Sonoma order. I had receipt from the shipment. My god! Clerk was almost impossible to work with. Accusations of my order number missing with explanations the online order is not William Sonoma when my receipt clearly had William Sonoma on it. Got heated crazy with continuous reasons clerk is blocked from fulfilling return easily. Finally after strong unsettling insistence on my end to resolve her problem and get refund done - she did. Most bizarre and crazy interaction at William Sonoma Geneva location. Usually experience is a zen feeling in the store - this clerk is a 'gotta go' - absolute insanity - Stefanie she said but my return receipt reads associate ID mhoffman - time for some training - wow! read more

Another disappointment. I placed an order on December 18th. The website said guaranteed delivery by Christmas. I followed up and now it says between 12.24 and 12.27. Says it just shipped...12.23. Our last purchase only lasted just over a year and now they do not stand behind their word. I used to love this company, but sadly, quality and customer service is a thing of the past. Still go here all the time. Still cannot stand it. Every time I exchange the Soda Stream tank they act like it's the first time they have ever done it. Also, they seem to be training staff all of the time. It always takes about five times longer than it should. Frustrating. read more

I would have given this business 5 stars because the products are some of the best but this is the third time I went here for something and was met by an older woman (seems like the manager/owner) who was so rude and seemed like I was an inconvenience. I went across the parking lot and purchased something from Crate and Barrel. Like I said the store has been great in the past but when I see the manager next time I'm just gonna leave. It's a shame. Williams Sonoma in Geneva was great to work with for my wedding registry. Staff very helpful everytime we came in. The whole process of gift registries here is easy and well worth choosing them. They have everything you need to start your new journey together and the return process requires no hassle. I'm recommending them to all my friends getting married for sure! Great store! read more

The staff at this location is horrible. They have bad attitudes and always look at us cross eyed when we walk in with 2 kids(understand they don't want them running around breaking things, but we've got them under control)... not to mention they talk down to us like we have no idea what we're doing. We go there because we live in Geneva, that's the only reason. I will say we did go in one time and the 2 employees were actually nice and helpful, not condescending... wish they would replace the other idiots that work there! read more

I cannot seem to convince Williams Sonoma that I do not want their telemarketing calls. Four times I have tried yet every time they have a sale, some lady is on the phone yacking about it. Don't know if it is the store on an outsourced service but our number is on the Do Not Call List for a reason. Went into the store last Saturday around 5:30pm. Two sales reps, one friendly, who left you alone after greeting you and offering to help; the other was okay. Saw a Philips air fryer at the front of the store, two different models, XL and XXL. Really interested as I was thinking of replacing the model I have. Walked over to the counter, and the "other" was standing there. Said to her, I have a question regarding this air fryer. She responds, "do I have to come over there?" I was ready to respond, do you want to make a sale. She comes over, and clearly could not answer the question; didn't even know how an air fryer worked. I told her I would take the XXL. The original sales rep brings out the model, I pay, and leave the store. But something wasn't right in the price. Sat in the car and went into the W-S and air-fryers. Sure enough, the "other" ordered up the wrong model. Wasn't paying attn to the customer. Lucky I caught it while I was in the parking lot. Love the store and the brand, but something needs to be done about some of the sales people in this store. They should at least know about the products being showcased for sale. read more
