The place to fly in Northern California for beginning soaring pilots, and experienced cross country pilots. For new pilots, Williams provides an all glass fleet with ships up to Open Class performance for rent. Instructors has deep experience, and the best is the social side, with the Valley Soaring Association (valleysoaring.net) holding seminars, racing series and evening dinners. For rides, the gliders are clean and safe. For boys, this is the place to learn about handling airplanes and the basics of flying. See pics on some of the cloudscapes.

WOW! What a great experience this was. I went up to Williams last week for a glider ride and it was amazing. It was only a 40 minute drive from Sacramento and well worth it. I did the 30 minute glider ride but it felt like so much longer. Once I got over the initial butterflies, I was able to relax and enjoy the views of Sutter Buttes and Mt Lassen. My pilot, Ed, was very informative and shared stories about the history of gliders, you could tell he is very passionate about his craft. I highly recommend trying this out, it won't disappoint!

The glider that we were towed up to 3000 feet in. We had to sit side by side in the back and our pilot was seated in front of us.

Our pilot, Crazy Ed, told us all about the process of gliding and was very responsive to all our questions.

Take wing and DO THIS! I bought this adventure as a birthday present for the hubby, and he loved it…read more(as well he should have). Andy was a great pilot and flew that biplane with gusto. Needless to say, I made sure to pay the little extra so hubby could experience the aerobatics this plans could do...giant loops and barrel rolls and cutting toilet paper (you'll have you fly to know what I'm talking about on that one). If you've been thinking about it, I highly encourage anyone and everyone to try this adventure at least once. You'll be glad you did...hubby is already planning his next ride up into the wild blue yonder in the warbird. We call dibs!

Years ago there was a period where I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in small, private, single engine airplanes. Except for long-hauls, I always enjoyed them more that commercial jet flights - the experience is more up close and personal. Anyway, nothing compares to my biplane experience at Adventure Flight. What a bunch of fun. Andy is a skilled and personable pilot. I had signed up for aerobatics and although slightly apprehensive, I was committed to "sticking to the plan". The pilot made it easy, comfortable and excitingly memorable. We did multiple, giant loop de loops and barrel rolls along with other maneuver that I can't name. I am not a young man .... but, I can honestly say this was one of the most fun things I have done in my life .... Consequently, I plan to do it again. I highly recommend Adventure Flight. Note, Andy's fleet is not limited to the biplane.

Super fun! I bought…read moremy son a flight for his 14th birthday. He had never even been in a plane before, let alone flew one. Needless to say he was a bit apprehensive about his flight. When we arrived at the Airport we were greeted by our pilot and instructor Jim. He was very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable which made my son feel at ease. After a through lesson and overview of the Cesna 187 it was time for my son take the pilots seat. I was happy to tag along. My son read the pre flight checklist from the POA and off we went. Once the plane was at altitude my son had his chance to fly. He was encouraged to bank left and right and shown how to keep the nose leval. It was very exciting to see my son flying the plane. Sadly after about 20 min it was time to land. Jim landed us safely and beautifully. It was a great experience! I don't know who liked it more me or my son? I encourage anyone who has ever wanted to fly a plane to give it a try. In addition it is a very unique and fun gift to give.Years from now my son won't remember what toys or games I buy him. However, his experience of flying a plane with JetExe will last him a lifetime. Thanks for the memories guys!

They had 3 bartenders, making sure everyone drinks were topped off. LOL The band was playing good music, which had a lot of people on the dance floor, including me and van. The buffet style meal was plentiful and delicious. The line for this meal seemed to flow without hiccups. It seemed Venus was in charge of this department. (she works front desk) Job well done I saw Chris (operations manager) running around and making sure things were in place, like extension cords, to make this event happen.. The silent auctions consist of paintings, trip to Mexico, etc... They also had candles for sale. Not sure up this point how this turned out. Augustine, the owner, greeted everyone, making it such a warm welcoming environment. It was nice to see people involved in aviation and being able to meet them first hand. Can't wait till next party hosted by Augustine !!

Six months later, the work is still not done, despite numerous promises that it would be done "next week." The wing was finally delivered, but the flange to attach it to the fuselage needed to be repaired as well. Why that wasn't removed when the wing left is a mystery to me. Still no paperwork for the repairs. Now at seven months. The flange has been replaced, but the paperwork for it is missing, so my wing still can't be put back on my plane. Rivets were missed on the skin and now I have a wrinkle that will oil can. Steve patched a corroded fairing without speaking to me. I would have replaced the entire thing. Now I have to pay to have that work redone. Steve also damaged my exhaust ports. He claims the damage was done by my mechanic, despite the photo of it being loaded on his trailer without any damage. Parts were removed and not replaced, which will cost me more money for my local mechanic to correct. It's a freakin' nightmare. And, we haven't even started on the corrosion to my other wing. Not that I'll let Steve anywhere near it. Update: 03-01-13. A bolt was removed from my landing gear assembly by Steve. Without it, the plane can't be taken off jacks. Still waiting for him to send the bolt. 9 months and counting ... Steve likes to say he is "wearing the white hat." Looks more like dingy brown to me.
