Pro- learning in a classroom with the ability to ask questions or work through things you were…read morestruggling with. Pro/Con- it is (4) 9 hour days in a row. It is intense. It worked for me with my work schedule and how I learn but is a lot. Pro- Phillip the instructor was extremely knowledgeable, relatable and kind. I even connected with him after I passed the test and he was cheering me on then too! Pro/con- you learn way more information than you actually need for the test. You go into formulas and graphs and diagrams. All of it is extremely helpful information on how to do my job, but a lot of it was not on the test so I spent time studying and cramming things that I didnt need to know. Pro-They give you all of the study materials that you need. You do not need to buy additional books or study guides. It has a ton of practice tests and quizzes and really guides you where to look on the areas you need to focus on. A bit of background: I do projects and work in leadership but my title is nowhere near "project manager." I was learning all of the terms and formulas and all of it from scratch. It was a lot to learn in four days but that worked for me and my work/learning style. Overall, I would strongly recommend!

I took Project Management Academy's (PMA) PMP boot camp course in Norfolk, VA in November 2022…read more The course was well laid out, and was a good introduction to Project Management and what to expect when going through the certification process. PMA provided post-boot camp resources including reference material, and access to practice exams. The practice exams were difficult, and really challenged me. By the time I took the exam, I was thoroughly prepared and found the exam easy, and passed on my first attempt. What provided the most value for me was my course Facilitator, Mr. Jackson. Not only did he do a great job during the course, but he provided me assistance months after my course. He sent me additional preparation tools, reviewed my PMP application, and encouraged me when I became wary. One of my co-workers attended the course before I did, and although she had a different facilitator, her experience was very similar. Needless to say, I would highly recommend going with PMA if pursuing PMP certification.

Had a great experience getting my headshot done with Kevin!…read more He was quick in responding when I inquired about getting a professional headshot for work. After my initial call, he had sent a form to get my appointment booked for the next weekday. I arrived about 15-20 minutes earlier than my expected appointment and never brought it up, nor did he make me wait. He also offered to wear a mask if I felt more comfortable and offered me a bottled water. I never felt rushed, and he made it clear he could take as many photos as I'd like until I was satisfied. Highly recommend.

I just returned from Kevin's "Fall Photography Fundamentals Workshop" and it is the best class I…read morehave ever taken, and I have taken a lot. He was so prepared to the point he provided the class with binders that included all of the information he was showing on the screen. All we had to do was make a few notes if we wanted which allowed us to pay attention to what he was showing and saying. He is extremely patient and goes out of his way to be sure every student understands what he is saying. I don't care how long you've been photographing, I'm pretty sure you'll learn something new. If you're a beginner this is definitely the class to be in. I cannot recommend his classes enough. They are not overpriced and you get a lot of bang for your buck.

We used British Swim School for our 3 year old's first introduction to swimming lessons. Overall I…read moream very happy with our experience and I would consider taking lessons with them again as my kid grows. They are professional, safe, and focused on feasible goals for my kid's age of familiarity and comfort in the water. The teachers were calm and encouraging and worked with the fact that sometimes my kid loved being in the water and other times didn't want to get in. They are very available for calls by phone to work with parents on makeups or questions. I didn't feel able to give a full 5 stars since there are some things the school could improve on. We often had a different instructor each week, which I admit was a bit hard for my kid feeling nervous in front of a new person (the pandemic and being isolated hasn't help with people skills meeting new teachers so I know this is exacerbated to this year). But even besides that, the different teachers often didn't know that my kid was in their class, we would walk up and they would act surprised, oh they are in my class too? I think there could be better communication between the instructors and to the instructors, and a better job encouraging the kids at the start of the lesson (e.g. give us your name at least!) Secondly the temperature of the pool at the Marriott location is inconsistent. Sometimes warm, other times cold. If this could be fixed it would be very helpful for the younger swimmers. I think these are things that could be easily improved on to make the experience even better. Overall I am happy!
