I thought this school would be great for my daughter. But she currently has a math teacher that…read moretells students to kill themselves, or rude comments. His profile picture has him shirtless which is highly inappropriate. Rather than the principal stepping in and trying to diffuse the situation, nothing is said, allowing this teacher to be what tears children down. The Spanish teacher has been a blessing, helping my daughter even in subjects outside of Spanish. Helping her students build confidence. Since this was taken down, I would like to add since then Mr.Rivera has been speaking with the class stating "some students and parents are too sensitive to understand jokes" "don't tell anyone because I will probably get in trouble" He also told the children in his class about this yelp review, and allowing them to look it up during class telling them "this is how sensitive parents can be" When principal Hagan FINALLY responded to the issue it was a simple "the students know he's joking" So many school fail the students, guess this is another one..

There is no other school like this in Austin or the surrounding areas. All three of my children attend CSA and are thriving despite their different interests, learning styles, academic strengths, and personalities. My children's teachers know more about them than just their names and where they sit during class. Because in a small class setting children may have the same teacher for slightly different subjects and across the years, children and teachers form constructive relationships. And I appreciate the teachers' efforts to engage and guide our three mischievous children!

As a parent of three children at Austin International School -- in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 2nd…read moregrade -- I can wholeheartedly say this school has exceeded every expectation. All three of my kids enrolled without any knowledge of a foreign language, which was initially a little nerve-wracking. My second grader was placed in a dedicated French as a Second Language support class, and it made a world of difference. Within a year, he had genuinely acquired the language in a way I didn't think was possible so quickly. My two younger ones jumped straight into the regular classroom, and they too have picked up an impressive amount of French in just one year. One of the most memorable surprises was hearing my kids come home and naturally speak French -- something I never expected to happen so soon. But perhaps the most touching milestone? They now ask me to speak French with them during part of our day at home and correct me when I make a mistake. The language has become something they take pride in and genuinely enjoy -- it's no longer just school, it's part of who they are. Academically, my kids are thriving too -- my second grader's MAP scores showed a remarkable jump from where he started before joining the school. What sets this school apart, though, goes beyond academics. The teachers clearly love what they do and love the kids they teach. Their enthusiasm and dedication are visible every single day -- they are engaged, motivated, and create an environment where children genuinely want to learn. The broader school community has been nothing short of wonderful. Warm, welcoming, and supportive in every way. The Head of School deserves special recognition for the outstanding leadership and tone set at the top -- the culture of this school reflects that every single day. If you're looking for a school where your child will grow academically, linguistically, and as a person -- Austin International School is truly special and we couldn't recommend it more.

Yesterday I called and had an unpleasant conversation with your receptionist who told me that she had no the dates of the exam and can not even tell me when students had DELF earlier this year. She was in a hurry to hang up the phone apparently, because the conversation with a client was something that irritated her a lot. Bizarre school.

Each morning starts off on the right foot thanks to Miss Lorraine, who always greets us with kindness and a smile. Miss Teresa and Miss Donna and the administrative team deserve so much credit for everything they do behind the scenes (and often right in front of us, too!). They're always approachable, professional, and eager to help. You can tell they truly love what they do their communication is clear, their leadership is steady, and they treat every family like part of one big extended family. They go above and beyond to keep everything running so beautifully. And of course, we have to give special thanks to Miss Elizabeth, who is an incredible teacher. She creates a classroom that's both structured and full of joy, where every student feels seen and supported. One of the things that stands out most about this school is the sense of stability and consistency there's very little turnover, which says so much about how well the staff are treated and how much they love being here. We're truly grateful to be part of such a positive community. This school is a special place one that not only helps children learn and grow, but also makes families feel supported every step of the way.

Ninna asked my family to leave the school on the basis that I deterred families from joining, and…read morethat I'm unprofessional. She asked us to leave without notice. Not providing time for me to find new childcare for my children was deeply unkind, especially since there were zero issues with how my children were engaging with their classrooms. My daughter had 6 teachers in 7 months at this school; 5 of those 6 teachers had NEVER been in childcare before Montessori Oaks. Both the teachers individually shared this with me, and Ninna later verified it. Ninna is generally lacking in professionalism, aptitude for running a business, and isn't a present or engaged leader at the school. Ninna & Carl, I was a PARENT of your school. It seems that my generosity and volunteerism had somehow shifted your expectations of me, which had you treating me like staff. You did not pay me, I did not work for you, and I had ZERO responsibility to register families at Montessori Oaks. Furthermore, YOU have a responsibility to be professional with ME as paying customer. For you to believe that I owe you professionalism and to register families at MO is absolutely senile. You don't know what you're doing, your staff have little respect for you, you aren't present on campus or with parents, you're defensive about feedback, and you've had to close your other campus and complain openly about the alarming financials of the Anderson Mill campus. If anyone is unprofessional, it's you. You are the common denominator of your businesses failures. Regardless of this, I have given dozens of hours of my time beautifying the campus and building a parent community, I've referred and registered families, and I've supported you through your mental health difficulties and business challenges (on multiple occasions Ninna solicited me for business and management advise about how to write up and fire teachers). Blaming me for the failing status of the school may be convenient, but ultimately, we all know that if you run a great program, you'll fill your classrooms. All this said, my son, who was upstairs with Nipa and Alex, had a fantastic learning and classroom experience with those two teachers. I couldn't recommend Nipa and Alex more highly. After leaving, I've had several parents reach out to me sharing similar frustrations about Ninna and how the school is run. Including one family who was kicked out without notice....there's a theme. If you're seriously considering enrolling here, I'd encourage you to call at 5 different times during open hours just to see how often the phone is answered...Ninna's not there, she's not engaged, and she'll pretend that the failing school status is because of others. Get a grip Ninna. You're in charge. Act like it.
