I would rate them 10 stars if I could. They are somehow a best kept secret! The teachers and staff…read moreare incredibly caring and provide a structured and safe place for our children. We talk to fellow parents who have had horror stories from other childcare options nearby and they say we are so lucky that we found St. Philips first. Another mom attended as a child and drives 45 minutes so her son can get the same care. The pricing is also amazing - they currently offer 2, 3, and 5 day options from 9-2. My daughter comes home and naps for 2-3 hours so the schedule works perfectly for us. There is not teacher turnover like at other places either. These women live in the community with us and have been teaching at St. Philips for years. My daughter is currently in Ms. Lee's class and she is an absolute gem. She sends extremely detailed weekly emails going over our curriculum for the week and topics to talk about around the dinner table. It makes me feel like I'm not missing out or out of the loop. She also shares her funny moment of the week and I love hearing stories about funny things our kids say to her haha. For an anxious mom, I also love that I can see hundreds of photos that they upload to our private shared Google drive. The amount of creativity that these teachers have is insane! They have turned the entire building into a railroad station and the north pole for Christmas, a massive candy land board game, and many many more. The art projects cover every inch of the room and it is such a happy place. My jaw literally drops when I see the pictures! My daughter tells me that she wishes she could go to school everyday. This was her first school experience so we were worried about her being overstimulated or overwhelmed in the beginning but literally the first day was the only hard drop off. On day 2 she walked in like a complete champ! I honestly wish we signed her up for the 2s class a year earlier! The potty training curriculum would have helped us! Haha I like that it isn't a massive facility where I feel like my kid could get lost (three 13 person classes). It honestly feels like a family and such a safe environment. I was also raised catholic, but am not religious now. I've been around those environments before that can be kinda toxic and this place is completely loving and inclusive. It is a small part of their curriculum so I wouldn't let that piece take them off the table if it is a concern. My daughter also surprises me with how much she is learning. Her letter recognition and sounds have really benefited from their curriculum and daily phonics song. Last week she said "pig....puh puh....pig starts with P just like my name!!" She also is really fascinated about the days of the week, months, weather, etc. so even though the socialization and emotional regulation are the most important facets at this age, she is absorbing information like a sponge. I'm so excited to send our other kids here.

We were beyond devastated to leave when it came time for Kindergarten. Her teachers were phenomenal and still check in on her years later. The prior school lacked transparency both by not allowing us to go inside and by not communicating important things like teacher changes, ratio issues, curriculum in the class room and on and on. Primrose is a dream! The owner Jerry is there everyday and is extremely involved in the day to day operations to make sure parents and children are happy. The director Liz always has a smile on her face and willing to help in any way shape or form she can! They aren't the most affordable option in brushy creek but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. they pay their teachers the best so they end up with the best quality out there. They also have a director of curriculum and other operational specific staff. This means the school runs like a well oiled machine. Things I love about this place: 1. My 14 month old son has a young toddler specific safe playscape that they go out to twice daily. He LOVES the outdoors and climbing all over the place with friends! 2. Teachers are qualified and super sweet 3. Friday family memo goes out every week which includes weekly school activities (dress up days, celebrations etc, school calendar) 4. The chef is fantastic and my kids love the food she makes! 5. Low turnover. Director and owner know everyone both parents and kids by first name 6. Daily app explains what food they ate pictures, curriculum etc. 7. my children love going there! My daughter recently started kinder and though we like not having a daycare bill we really miss the insights and pictures and summaries of activities throughout the day. This place is a major gem in brushy creek/round rock! We are so thankful we moved out kids to Primrose!

The management is only focused on enrolling more kids, so existing kids are moved up to a different level class, even before they've had time to settle in their existing setup. The biggest red flag- they have extremely high attrition rate. The teachers are constantly changing...I am talking on the scale of 3 main classroom teachers leaving in 2 months and getting replaced by completely new faces. And it is not a one off thing. In the past year, my kid has stumbled through atleast 7-8 new teachers...( i am not talking about subs, i am talking about complete replacement of the face your kid is spending 8 hours with). There seems to be no stability in the young kids life in terms of classroom environment / teachers and friends. I strongly believe that there needs to be some level of consistency in a child's life, to prosper. Teachers quitting so frequently might also be a reflection of the management/their hiring policies in general.

The teachers are so loving and kind, and the rotating class schedule kept our super active boy interested and engaged. It gets so hot in the summer in TX, and having a full gym space AND dance studio area inside in which the kids could still play if it was too hot or rainy was a game changer. No longer being cooped up in one class all day. We also had our new baby start there in Oct 2024, and he has absolutely thrived. From the infant teachers to now the toddler teachers, he has so much fun at school. I also love that the class sizes are small, so the teachers can really focus on the kids and they aren't overstimulated. The front desk staff and admin are also so kind, and even make sure to set aside activities or treats for our older two that don't even go there. I am so happy we found Creme and honestly will be so sad when our last little graduates from there.

The staff goes above and beyond when you need it, there's a constant positive energy in the place which is very welcoming... Not just to the kids and parents but between staff. The facilities are big and clean. Happy we could send our kids here. We had a gap in childcare and needed to get our son into something quickly (his was 16 months at the time). We wanted a Montessori program but those are tough to get into in Austin. Jenny made it work so that we could get into the babies class with our son and was very clear and professional about how she could not promise he would be able to go past 18 months into Toddler class because there were others in line. But, they made room for him over the next 2 months as they renovated and shuffled classes around, now he can stay at this great school we only thought we'd be guests at. It wouldn't have happened if not for the wonderfully positive attitude the staff here has, their attitude toward providing the best experience for you and your kid in sometimes a stressful situation, whether rushing in the morning or during a fussy day for your child. Would be happy to recommend Guidepost and the staff and teachers!

For a school that emphasizes supporting children's emotional development, the handling of this situation was disappointing and left a lasting negative impression on our family.
