10/11/2011 Not the best dentist but not the worst. Just felt like they want to keep pushing me to but something. I cannot say I have perfect teeth or cannot say the cleanest or whitest. Teaching someone how to floss correctly doesn't mean you do it forcefully. Now that I've been to a few dentists, I have something to compare which I could say I cannot recommend this dentist office. Do not go to this dentist, when I say this I am being completely for real DO NO go here. Trust me. These people will try and scam you for your money the front desk lady is so incompetent it's actually insane. They refuse to give me things I paid for and give me excuses. I have been trying to get my xrays for two months (I already got them done but would like to go another carrier) they kept telling me that they are thinking of a price to email them to me and they are very busy and that the doctor is too busy to tell me a price ... it is a simple number and email I do not understand the hold up (??) it takes two months to think of a price?? Like what's the price difference between me getting my X-rays emailed and another person?? It's a photo of the same thing, teeth! And that's not the worst part I go in because my teeth are in severe pain and I cannot wait any longer and am trying to go to another place because their prices were too much for me. I go in and the lady at the front desk proceeded to tell me they don't have a price for me nor a POLICY because the doctor is now on a two month leave because he has surgery?? I understand you need to leave work because of surgery but I had asked two months prior before this "surgery" even occurred for the price and they never once contacted me again after I had contacted them multiple times trying to pay and get a price. The front desk lady proceeds to say that it is not in her hands and she can't do anything about. At this point honestly I'm assuming that they are not wanting to provide me with something I paid 300 dollars for because there is no way this is now going to take 4 months just to get my X-rays emailed to me. I mean I thought it was a bit strange I have to pay for them again but it's fine whatever but for them to lag on a health issue?? I am in pain and this is not something to lag it is completely unprofessional and so insane for licensed dentist and doctors to act on a health issue. I think it's pretty insane for them to say he was too busy to give me a price when that is LITERALLY his job. Like he's too busy not doing his job? I really don't get it. My dentist was William Lin. There was also a review saying that he is very rough and he really is he is not gentle with you at all and not very kind while doing it as well. It isn't easy finding a Dentist that you can trust and I am happy to say today I found that with Dr. Lin and his staff. Dr. Lin took his time cleaning my teeth and explaining to me everything I needed to know. I will be recommending him to any of my friends that are looking for a dentist they can trust. I highly recommend this place. Dr. Lin is a professional and is very affable. The staff is extremely friendly and always has a positive and calming attitude! I came in for a routine check up and had to get one filling and deep cleaning on my gums. Dr. Lin said i'd feel like a new man, and I did! I called yesterday saying I thought my filling had came out of it's cavity, and they booked me that day at the end of the day. I went in and they checked it out for free! Dr. Lin has been our family dentist for over 15 years. He is very experienced and knowledgeable. I had my braces done by him when I was young and still continue to see him twice a year for cleaning. Keep in mind, people HATE going to the dentist but he is a good doctor. My only criticism is that the "deep cleansing" used to be a little rough but he has gentler in my recent visits. read more

Having been to a handful of dentists in the area, Dr. Lin is definitely one of the best! His office is not your typical dull-looking office, and his staff made my visit stress free. They are all extremely courteous and warm everytime I come here. On my last visit, I came in for a routine checkup and found out I needed some fillings done. Dr. Lin laid out multiple treatment options for me, and even recommended which option he would pick given my predicament. I called around for a few consultations for a wisdom tooth extraction, and either some dentists said they couldn't do it or simply didn't want to (not in those exact words). Fortunately, Dr. Lin was up for the challenge and didn't hesitate. The entire procedure took no more than 15 minutes. I was in and out within 40 minutes. He cleaned my teeth before the procedure and I appreciated his thoroughness. I was a bit annoyed that some dentists didn't care to help me, even after I told them that I was in pain. I felt hopeless because I really needed my tooth out!!! It's sad that some dentists aren't up for a challenge when patients' teeth aren't "easy" for them. one of the worst dentist places to be, this is one of the location that my crappy insurance will cover... first of all, the waiting time... if your appointment is at 3pm, you won't get to the chair till 3:20, then you sit and wait some more, by 3:40 they'lll start to examine you, then wait...and wait.... the only reason they do that cause one doctor have to work on like 3-4 patients at one time... the Male doctor.. same name as the office name... Dr. William Lin.. gots the roughest hands... even going in for a cleaning seems like you're experiencing a Deep Cleaning procedure.. ohh man..., theres another female doctor there, her name is Marie.. she is gentle, do a great job, but the waiting is just normal there.. staff workers are great, just doing their jobs... but i would prefer EAST-WEST DENTAL in Monterey Park on Garvey... they have several doctors there and each doctor has an assistant.. once you're on the chair, these are dedicated doctors that stay with you from beginning till end... so end conclusion... avoid this place if you can... we have better things to do with our time then to wait for hours...and if you like painful visits read more

I have been going to Dr. Lin for my dental needs for many years, and he has never disappointed. He has done my braces, teeth whitening, wisdom teeth extractions and cavities. Each and every time he would give a detailed explanation of the procedure as well as my options. He also has very good technique when giving anesthetic shots, I've never felt any pain at all! Many people have told me that going to the dentist is a painful and stressful experience, but I have never felt that way with Dr. Lin. Luckily we found Dr. Lin and he has been our family dentist for more than 15 years now. After my first appointment, I was impressed by his thoroughness in cleaning and examing my teeth. Through the years, my family did have services in dental fillings, tooth extracting, root canal, and crowning done by Dr. Lin. All were in our satisfactory. He has a good temperament and is very pleasant to get along with. Occasionaly,an unexpected dental problem poped up, we were always able to have his attentions either in the same day after his last appointment or by booking an emergency Saturday appointment. I am very happy to see Dr. Lin has achieved a very successful career now through his dedication and many years' hard working. His new dental office is well equipped, beautiful, and clean. All the assistants and the front office ladies are very nice and friendly. Bad experience! The front desk lady didn't do her job to check my insurance before my appointment time, and told me that I am not on their insured list! She made me call my insurance and faxed over my eligibility(I was insured and assigned to this dentist) then told me that I was still not be able to do my cleaning because I was not on the list! My wife and I switched to Dr. Lin from our prior dentist mainly due to the constant pressure to have additional "improvement/beauty" work done at additional cost not covered by our insurance and not wanted by us. The doctor's and staff were friendly, prompt, qualified, had every new dental tool available. They even had a talking x-ray machine(!) which explains why there was a constant barrage of unwanted sales pressure and additional charges beyond insurance coverage. We picked Dr. Lin's office due to close proximity to our house which turned out to be a really great choice. The entire staff has been excellent in all categories including working with my wife on the cost of procedures covered in insurance "gray areas" that all plans have and your insurance provider's answer is just "double talk". My wife and I both are very happy with Dr. Lin and Dr. Nguyen's dental abilities and clear explanations of procedures needed, insurance coverage and additional costs over insurance payment. No pressure, just straight talk as to what is needed, cost and what might/will happen if you don't have "this or that" done including options available. Your decision. Great! My wife prefers Dr. Nguyen's softer touch where I prefer Dr. Lin's firm, direct technique to get the job done. Dr. Lin just completed an implant replacing a lower back molar that he pulled. From start to finish everything went as smooth as possible with little if any pain. Pulling the bad molar, drilling and placing the implant, frequent checkups to be sure all was healing to impressions and placement of the crown. All went very well, the crown fit perfect the first time. My prior dentist also placed an implant, lower front which needed several adjustments and even came off requiring resetting. It also cost 20% more. I would recommend Dr. Lin's dental office to everyone as the first choice. read more
