It is July 2026 and I have found myself back at Trilogy Orthodontics 8 years after completing my Invisalign treatment. As it turns out, those darned retainers really don't last forever. Cue the sad violins! The office has changed dramatically since I was last here, with individual exam rooms set up as opposed to the open concept they had previously. Everything looks fresh, new, and very clean. While nothing was wrong with the "homey" feel of the old office, this is quite the upgrade. Dr. Fong and I caught up without skipping a beat, and as always, made sure I was comfortable as we were discussing options for replacing my broken retainers. While coming to the dentist or the orthodontist is never going to be my favorite thing ever, I always feel comfortable coming here knowing that I will be getting top-notch care and amazing service from Dr. Fong and his team. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Our family had a wonderful experience with Doctor Fong. My daughter had her braces done here, and they were excellent even through the COVID pandemic. Appointments were super easy to schedule, the office was always professional and very clean, and the treatment results were fantastic. She ended up with really straight teeth and a beautiful smile. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend this place for both children AND adults! The Drs and staff are amazing and so easy to work with. They were referred to me by my regular dentist (who also sent both of his kids there) so I knew Dr Fong had to be good. He was right! The place is warm and inviting. You won't be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Dr.Fong and his staff. He did the corrective braces for my 13 year old son and we are highly pleased with the results. Over the course of 3+ years, we always had good experiences with his office. They are very good about scheduling appointments to meet your schedule as much as possible. Whenever we had issues, such as a bracket being loose, they were able to schedule us promptly to come into the office to get our issue fixed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, Dr.Fong and the staff are one of the best dental offices that we have encountered. read more

Trilogy Orthodontics has exceptional and amazing customer service!! I found them through Dr Kris Murakawa's dental office in Alhambra! And I only wish that I found them sooner! I had traditional metal braces at least twice already - once as a teenager, and the second time as an adult. I went to 2 different orthodontists. But in hindsight, I found that neither one of those orthodontists was too forthcoming or too honest about their services. I felt like they just really took my money and didn't even bother to check up on me after I transitioned from braces to retainers. Part of it is my fault for not being more compliant as a teenager in terms of wearing my retainers vigilantly after I had my braces taken off. But at the same time, I felt like those 2 orthodontists who I went to in the past were not too great in following up either about my orthodontic care. I personally felt like they were just pretty money-hungry. I am so grateful that I came to Trilogy Orthodontics! They are the complete opposite of the 2 orthodontists who I went to in the past! And they really care about their patients and are not money-hungry at all! It is so difficult to find good and honest orthodontists like them! Both the father and son (Dr Terrence Fong and Dr Garrett Fong) are extremely professional, thorough, and courteous! And their staff members are just as helpful and friendly! Most of my appointments have been with Dr Garrett Fong because I decided to get Invisalign this time around. I was really embarrassed to have to get teeth correction literally for the third time because I wasn't compliant with traditional metal braces the first 2 times. But Dr Garrett Fong put me at ease and assured me that a lot of adults still get teeth correction. I just hope that I can be as compliant as possible this time around so that this will be my last time receiving major teeth correction. I didn't realize that they also provide their patients with in-office entertainment! My most recent appointment in late February was a longer appointment because Dr Fong had to place the attachments onto my teeth so that my Invisalign trays would hold much better onto my teeth. He brought over a tablet and asked me which movie I wanted to watch on Netflix! I was thrilled!! I chose to watch the "Emojis" movie and throughly enjoyed it! After he was done placing the attachments, he told me that I could stick around and finish the movie! Haha! I totally would have if I was still a teenager! But I felt silly as an adult to stick around. I would highly recommend anyone who needs orthodontic care as a kid or as an adult to come here!! I always feel very well taken care of, and the staff is absolutely awesome and amazing!! read more

We absolutely love this orthodontic clinic!! Dr Fong Sr and Jr are excellent. My son is mostly seen by Jr. Dr Fong, which is exceptionally kind and detail. All staff there are cheerful and loving. Due to the volume of this clinic, sometimes it maybe a bit hard to change an appointment. But they did try their best to accompany our needs anytime. We were quote 2 years, and pay monthly for two years. But since they are very precise about the position of the teeth, we end up to about 3 years, with no extra charge. And I can see that my son now have to best teeth in the whole family!!! I would consider them one of the old school type of orthodontics. (Which work the best). The first consultation is free. And I would recommend them to anyone that I know!! read more

Dr. Fong is extremely knowledgeable and immediately eliminated any residual hesitation I had about a virtual consultation because of how thorough he was in his explanations and suggestions. I uploaded 5 photos to a portal, which was super simple to use, for Dr. Fong to pre-examine so he was already up to speed on my dental goals by the time of my appointment. I was able to ask many questions and receive honest feedback using diagrams and other examples in real-time. I also want to say thank you to Connie and Tiffany for such a seamless sign-up and on-boarding process; as a new patient those first steps can be the most challenging but they ensured it to be otherwise. Amazing staff and service - 11/10! read more

Dr Fong, thanks for your reply. This event occurred back in 2013. I am not sure why you are just getting this review now. I called the office to inform the staff that I was running late but they told me you were not able to wait 10 extra minutes for me and had something else to do. I already found another wonderful orthodontist. read more

I have been under the care of Dr. Fong and his team for a few years now and everything was beyond expectations. From start to finish, Dr. Fong and his team made sure that I was properly informed about the procedure and made it a painless, seamless experience for me. Everyone is highly attentive and friendly, which made me feel at ease every time I went in for an appointment. Even when COVID-19 first hit, he was able to accommodate us without jeopardizing our health and made sure to put the patients first. Because of multiple job relocations, I have seen Dr Fong and multiple orthodontist in the Bay Area, in Shanghai, and in Dallas. Among all of them, Dr Fong is by far the best. I can tell Dr Fang spent lots of time analyze my situations based on the notes and measurements he prepared. He explained the treatment plan to me down to every details, and never rushed me. Besides, his office has the most sophisticated equipment I have seen, such as the 3-D dental scanner. Overall, I highly recommend Dr Fong if you're lucky enough living within driving distance to his office. read more

I instantly liked this place because it felt so welcoming and the doctors were really friendly and explained everything to me in detail. I always had a bad experience at dentist offices but this one was very different. I didn't feel nervous and the hi tech iTero machine was super cool. It scans your teeth instead of the other offices who uses the mold impressions (which taste pretty awful :c ) I enjoyed my trip to the ortho today and i am very excited to start my Invisalign journey! I got 4 of my molars pulled and spent 3 and a half years wearing braces, but let me tell you why it was worth it :) I've been coming here since I was a 5th grader (I've now graduated college) and have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Terrence Fong, his son Dr. Garrett Fong, and the entire office staff (shout out to Linda and Kylene!). They've seen me go from having the world's worst cross-bite to straight teeth. What makes Trilogy different from other orthodontists is the personal touch - from the enthusiastic greetings you get on walking in, to the cozy decor that Mrs. Fong changes every season. Everything is explained really clearly, which makes the process of having braces a lot less scary whether you're a kid or an adult. What's more, the whole office is always kept very clean and there's an awesome selection of magazines available if you have to wait (my favorite is the kids' table where they keep issues of National Geographic!). Even the headrests on the chairs are super comfortable. If you or anyone you know needs braces, there really isn't anywhere else you should go except here! read more

We are so thankful for the father-son duo of Dr. Terry Fong and Dr. Garrett Fong, as well as their wonderful team! They convey such warmth, care and positive energy when you walk thru their door! Unlike our generation, our kids and their friends all think it's so cool to get braces - thank goodness!! Fun color rubber band choices allow them to mix it up every time. Kylene is fantastic at the chair and the front desk gals - Linda is a hoot with a great demeanor and sense of humor and Kristen is so sweet. Both Dr. Fongs are so experienced and knowledgeable. They spend a lot of time explaining all the steps and procedures. Our kids are not afraid to ask questions, and get very detailed responses from the doctors. We are confident their teeth and mouths are in great hands! read more

I couldn't be more impressed with the consultation I had for my son. The time spent explaining his situation along with the videos were absolutely first rate. So glad I was able to get a second opinion with Dr. Fong. read more

I have been with Trilogy Orthodontics since 2019 which was 4 years ago and my first time experience has been amazing. Every time I come in, I am provided with a smile especially the people there greeting me kindly. They are very organized and clean in terms of materials being used and to make sure there is minimal contact between patients. Although my braces time frame was delayed, it went by fast and now I am proud to smile with my straight and less-crowded teeth! Thank you especially to the Trilogy family who has been with me for my braces journey. read more

I usually don't write reviews on Yelp, but I want to share my pleasant experience at Dr. Fongs' office. My daughter has just finished nine years of treatment there. It sounds very long, right? She has a complicated case to start with. We have consulted two other orthodontists, and they all agreed my daughter needs to begin her treatment at an early age. Both Dr. Fongs are very attentive and patient in answering all my doubts. Their assistant, Kylene, is the best! They always make sure my daughter is doing fine during the treatment. It's easy to get appointments, and we barely have to miss school. Dr. Garret Fong has done a fantastic job of finishing the treatment for my daughter. A clean, well-organized office with advanced pieces of equipment, Dr. Fong is a top-notch orthodontist! read more

I am highly recommend to try the virtual consultation. The experience with the virtual consultation is way better than I was expected. Dr. Fong is really helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to explain and point out all the problems through visual videos and photos. I am able to understanding more details about the treatment options and my dentals problems compared to go to a regular office, because the visual tools are aid to the points. And at the end, the note that Dr. Fong share with his client is really oriented detail, you will have more time to consider your treatment options as well before you walk in the office. read more

So satisfied with both Dr. Fongs as my son's orthodontist. This office is composed of a father and son orthodontic team. The entire staff is pleasant helpful and always willing accommodate our appointments requests. Their office is comfortable and relaxing and the dental work area is super super clean. The dental staff will immediately santitize each chair thoroughly after each client. The entire crew from front office, Linda, assistance, and the doctors are fantastic. They are friendly, and eager to answer any questions you may have. The appointments are efficient and Dr. Fong is knowledgeable in the work he does as an orthodontist and I constantly recommend anyone looking to get braces to come here. read more

I am writing a completely NEW review as my 14 year-old daughter recently got her braces off after 6 3/4 years at Trilogy Orthodontics. Now, you may be wondering WHY so long? Well, my daughter has multiple issues that only occurred as her adult teeth came in that were MAJOR problems - so the treatment plan has to be changed many times. Needless to say, without the expertise and experience of this office, the outcome of her orthodontia journey would have been completely different. A dentist working on her mouth would not have been able to get the amazing and beautiful results that have been obtained through a professionally trained orthodontist like this office has. My daughter got her braces on the day BEFORE the start of 2nd grade - she was a terrified little eight year-old and Dr. Terrence Fong and the staff put her at ease. She even wore her sunglasses during the procedure and was very happy when she left with her braces. Fast forward almost seven years when Dr. Garrett Fong worked his magic to have her braces off TWO days before her 8th grade graduation. When we were there for the back bracket removal, another patient was getting his braces off for Prom. Fabulous way to make your patients feel SPECIAL! Of important note, the doctors are great with little kids (like my 2nd grader getting braces) to tweens and teenagers to adults - they work with ALL ages well. The entire staff from Dr. Terrence Fong and Dr. Garrett Fong to Linda and Kylene are amazing. We feel like family especially as I was previously a patient in the office over 40 years ago when Dr. Terrence Fong first started in orthodontics. Definitely the best experience ever - check them out as they DO give free consultations!! read more

Very professional and helpful consultation. I wanted to have braces again since my bottom teeth were pushed far out because of my last orthodontic treatment. Dr. Fong talked about my problems (on receding chin and my lower teeth) on the first free consultation and suggested me to do surgery. I discussed what Dr. Fong had told me to my parents and they preferred not to do any kind of surgery. I scheduled another time to take records (cost $200), a nice assistance scanned my teeth using 3-D modeling and took some x-rays of my teeth. After that, scheduled another meeting with Dr. Fong to talk about what he thinks is the best treatment for us. The meeting after the records was super helpful. He talked about his thoughts on my profile and talked about the consequences if I don't do the surgery. My mother was still worried about doing surgery (as what Dr. Fongs said, "there is always risks for any kind of surgery."). Dr. Fong said if we don't do the surgery, he is not going to put braces on me because he is not there to just take our money and not do anything helpful for my case. THAT is just a great and honorable personality that all doctors should have! My last orthodontist didn't tell me things about surgery, consequences, and all the other possibilities. Dr. Fong would discuss everything with you and you can ask him any questions or concerns you have. Definitely recommended. I'm not sure if I'll do the surgery (super expensive T_T), but go to this orthodontist if you are looking for an orthodontic treatment!!! Taking a record $200 from this place is super worth it!!!! read more

I came here I really liked the Dr. they said they needed to X-ray 4 different slides total cost $200. I had X-rays done previous place for $160. So when I brought them to this place I was missing 1 slide so the lady in the front told me I have to pay $125 for the missing one??? Might as well pay $75 more for the whole package RIGHT!? So the pricing was off! And the lady say I'm not forcing you to pay and we can't give it to you for free! Rude much? Ya you are kind of forcing me to pay if not then I can't get any service done. Because she said that I rather go someone else where they don't rip you off completely just for the X-rays. I went to another place for a quote and they actually did they X-rays for free and I didn't even do any service there yet. Sorry Triology, I really liked the Dr but I'm going to pass. read more

My daughter really enjoyed going to her appointments here! All the staff are very friendly and they make your safety and comfort their top priority with everyone wearing face-masks and gloves. There is an online check-in, a temperature check, available hand sanitizer, and even disposable pens you can keep to fill out paperwork. They have made separate "rooms" with walls and doors for people to stay in and have their appointment done to limit exposure to others even further. These rooms also have their own air supplies and returns with HEPA filtration to make each visit safer. Plus, Dr. Fong and the staff explain every step of the procedure very clearly. They are very gentle and kind, and it shows that they care for their patients. read more

Trilogy Orthodontics is honestly one of the best offices I have ever visited. In terms of professionalism and courtesy they are the best. Linda at the front desk is one of the nicest, hardest working people I have ever met. I have been going here for 6 years and even though I haven't had a check up in 3 years, Linda still remembers who I am. Honestly, she's the best. Not only have they straightened and fixed my teeth, they genuinely care about each patient and make sure they are getting the best care possible. You'll never meet another doctor like Dr. Fong. He works incredibly hard, takes time to make sure everything is right with your teeth, and is truly passionate about his job. I have never had a bad experience with any of my visits. Just today I went in for a checkup thinking I would need a new set of retainers. I was expecting to pay a lot of money. However, Dr. Fong examined my teeth and thoroughly explained to me that I only needed to adjust my retainers a bit and everything would be fine.
