I was a cash patient patient for seven years. The day that I showed that I had insurance they went buck wild. I had Dr. maul came out man with two nurses who I've never seen him before I got the royal treatment soon as I had insurance they did every blood test you can think of and urine test every month checking to see if I have diabetes high blood sugar cholesterol one month they said I have all the stuff and then I come back next month and everything was completely different. But every time you go there you make an appointment and you sit in the waiting room for over an hour. Please please watch out when they do a blood to make sure that your insurance covers it !!! because I got stuck with a bill or I would've gone on my credit report that cost me $350 why wouldn't they send .stuff off without my consent to a different lab? Dr Meyer realizes this fact and does his best to put me at ease. We speak of many off topic things(literature,his sons band(Slug Puppies), and my family(he has been my wife's family Dr for years and years) I like going to this clinic because it is usually one stop shopping-they have their own little radiology dept and lab and can do most of your workups there. MY kids all like him as well and we have never had a bad experience here. His staff is always professional and the nurses are very good about calling us back on the same day we leave messages. I am unsure of all the insurances he takes-but I know he takes BCBS as that is what I have. I won't tell you that you'll have a good time seeing the Dr if you go here-but I will bet it will be less of a traumatic time!

I have used them simply because they were close and a friend recommended them. I have procrastinated finding a new doctor, but this place has finally pushed me too far. A couple of years ago, I got sick. Had a nasty cough, caused me to pass out. Went in and they assumed I had whatever was going around. They prescribed me their standard go-to antibiotic. After a full regimen of that, which didn't work (surprise), they prescribed a stronger antibiotic which also didn't work. Then after that they prescribed a steroid. That didn't work either. But guess what... The entire time they were stabbing in the dark. No tests, no scientific analysis. Nothing. Just looked at symptoms and made assumptions. They never did me any good so I stopped going in to see them. The cough eventually went away by itself but after maybe 2 months. More recently, I went in. Had had a fever and a bad sore throat. They tested for strep which came back negative, but after that, they told me "There's no way to know" what I had and assumed it was a virus. Because guess what... It's not like we have labs. Or science. Or microscopes. No way to know!? Whatever. Who gave these people their licenses to practice medicine!? On top of that, this last time I went in, I paid up front. Then I asked at the end what I owed because I figured the strep test might cost me something. I was told that I didn't owe anything else. Until I got a bill in the mail... Months later. Such a scam.

She does spend more time with you than other PCPs and will answer any questions, but ever since she got busier and expanded there's a lot more waiting, and she has a lot less availability. I've actually only seen the NP the last few times. Again, I like her, she's a great doctor, but having to take a whole day off work for a 20 minute check-up isn't worth it anymore. Also they bill stuff to the insurance that they didn't do. Tobacco cessation counseling? I have never smoked nor was it even mentioned.

PREVIOUS Review: This review is mainly for Heidi, the RNP who conducted my physical today but I've had a lovely experience already communicating with multiple office staff from making our appointments to the experience in the waiting room and with the various assistants who took vitals, drew blood, etc. We just moved to the area and needed to establish ourselves at a new Family Doctor and since I just like to get everything done at once one time per year, they were able to accommodate simultaneous appointments for my husband and I to see Dr Weldon and Heidi. I was seen first by Heidi but Dr Weldon was running behind (NBD, it happens). Heidi was energetic, engaging, and I really enjoyed our conversation during my appointment. I was here for a very simple reason - just an annual physical but I am confident I'll get awesome care anytime I need it. Healthcare can be so impersonal these days so I really appreciate that she spent time actually getting to know me and that she genuinely seems to care about every patient's health and well-being. They do their best to offer same day sick appointments if ever needed, and they do most of their blood work in house (and you are drawn here too, which I appreciate not having to schlep to a lab on another day) If today's visit is any indication of future visits then I know we made a good choice!
