Terrible doctors office with abhorrent service and useless hours. The posted hours are until 5 yet…read morethe doctors leave by 1pm so what's the point? If you have a full time job it's impossible to be seen without taking a whole day off work. Even if you're appointment is scheduled for early in the morning plan to be there all day because theyre late starting appointments do it's impossible to know when you'll be done. Was informed they require you to have appointments every month to stay on your mental health medicine or they'll cut you off. The thing is though they pick and choose when to enforce that policy because I was getting refills without monthly appointment then they decided one day I don't need my meds anymore. Lol They do offer virtual appointments but their technology isn't advanced enough or their WiFi is to weak. You can barely have a conversation and understand the Dr. I will say Dr. Saleem is nice and is a good doctor, however how the practice is run is incredibly unorganized and the policy's are not practical. RUN away before going here if you have a full time job and have regular medications. This Dr office is for people who have all the time to work around their schedule or elderly patients with no set schedule. Thank God open enrollment is back so I can switch insurance and get back to a real Dr office. I've had better care and compassion at a free mental health clinic in the hood. These people are deplorable. For anyone with diagnosed mental illness I beg you to go somewhere that actually sees you as a person and wants to help you and keep you safe. I was in…read morethe waiting room and an elderly man named Mr. Castillo came in and didn't have his copay and the office staff confronted him in full view of the entire waiting room, addressed him by name (huge HIPAA no-no) and told him he had to start paying his copays or they weren't going to see him anymore. I felt so embarrassed for him. To be treated like that. I'm wondering what kind of people they are if they can be that disrespectful to their patients. I know that copays have to be met but geez, take him in the back and tell him. Don't do it in front of the other patients. I told the nurse that called me back about it but she just ignored it. I am a cancer survivor and have other health concerns so a GOOD doctor that I can talk to and who will address all my concerns - no matter how small - is a must for me. I tried going back to Odessa every few months but when some issues with my blood came up, my doctor felt like it was time for me to find an Internist in this area to be more closely monitored, so I began my search. I got some recommendations from my Hematologist - four or five names. I called several at random because I did not really know anything about any of them. I ran into problems like, "not taking new patients", "we don't take that insurance", etc. I called Dr. Anamekwe and was able to make an appoint fairly quickly. Honestly, I had put her farther down on my list because I have hearing issues and I was afraid I would have trouble understanding her, but I decided to give it a try. After making my appointment, I looked her up on the internet to see what I could find out about her. Her clinic is Vivify Wellness Center and I found out that they had a weight loss center. I thought, "Oh boy! I am looking for a doctor to address my health concerns and all she is going to be interested in is my weight." I have struggled with my weight for many years. I have been to many weight loss clinics. Trust me. I know the drill, but for some reason I decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! Dr. Anamekwe is delightful, very personable, easy to understand, and took an ample amount of time with me. All through my visit, though, in the back of my mind was, "When is she going to hit me with the weight loss." I NEVER happened! We talked about all my history. She told me how she was interested in treating all my issues to the upmost of her ability; she shared her philosophy on medical treatment; and she never mentioned the weight loss portion of her practice - I had to ask her about it. She told me if I were interested in that, I would have to make another appointment just for it because her medical practice is separate. I was impressed. I have now been seeing her for almost six months. She discovered I was pre-diabetic. I am going today for blood work that I expect to tell me that I have completely turned that situation around. I did join her weight loss program, which is really just a lifestyle change, and I have lost over 30 pounds. The plan is easy and I am never hungry. I have very few cravings but when I do, I have learned that the taste of that food is not nearly as good and the way that lower number on the scale makes me feel. I am looking forward to getting off some of my medications - I currently take NINE. (Can you imagine the cost of that!) Recently I told her, "Dr. Anamekwe, you are going to save my life." She answered, "No, I am going to be the instrument God uses to save your life." Wow, when was the last time you got a response like that from a doctor? I thank God for putting the obstacles in front of me when I was searching for a new Internist. I know He led me straight to Dr. Kene Anamekwe.

When my…read moreMIL would let her know how a medication was negatively affecting her Dr. Naini would not offer other possibilities and would disregard my mother in law's concerns, as well as tell her she did not know what she was talking about. During the time my MIL saw Dr. Naini her mental and physical health declined rapidly. Her anxiety kept her from making a change of doctors. Since we have changed doctors my MIL is 100% better. She is active now. Depression is gone and anxiety is almost gone. She is enjoyable to be around again and taking care of herself. I am glad we got her away from Dr. Naini.

She reluctantly refilled my antidepressant prescription for another month and told me to lose weight, then she'll think about doing it permanently. Taking someone off the max dosage of an antidepressant is DANGEROUS and I'm disgusted with her and her staff's unprofessional attitude. For starters, the tech and/or MA team...I'm not even sure how to go about our experience with them. Without disclosing personal information about my family member, they were not treated with the dignity and respect that you deserve when visiting a doctor's office. The MA that called us in (I can only guess they were an MA) didn't quite know what they were doing. Simple tasks like taking vitals were not done properly and the MA didn't even speak proper English. They didn't know how to work the blood pressure cuff which was such a huge red flag. They have multiple people in the registration room without introducing themselves, asking redudant personal questions, it was just a mess. No one explains why there is more than one staff member in the room with the patient. In fact, communication within the staff was unprofessional with arguing and giggles. Just ridiculous. Now comes the exam room with Dr. Favroth. When I asked if this was some sort of teaching clinic (again, due to the extra staff members in the room with us), I was met with an attitude from the doctor that went into who she was, her credentials, what universities she taught at, etc., instead of actually answering my question about WHY THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE ROOM DURING AN EXAM. It was like I annoyed her instantly. Fine, let's get on with the exam and meds that are needed. We asked to have labs taken to confirm that a previous infection was cleared. We were charged $73 for the labs. Okay, cool I paid it. An entire week passed without hearing the results. When we FINALLY got someone on the phone after numerous follow up phone calls and messages, we were told by the front desk that they had ACCIDENTALLY DISCARDED the sample my family member provided during our visit. They literally threw it away. I'm honestly appalled just writing this. When I demanded we get our money back, I was met with resistance. I had to arrive in person to get a handwritten check back from their team instead of just refunding my card on the phone. So upsetting. Overall, I highly discourage anyone bringing their loved ones here. They are not equipped to take care of people and they create incredible obstacles when you need to contact them. I honestly feel sorry for the front desk staff that work there.

Here for half-price you get a very high quality doctor, who gives you all the time you need and has great bedside manner. I've sent all my family and friends here. Even with insurance to go elsewhere, often it's still a better deal to just go here. Been coming for 3-4 years. Super happy.
