I cannot even tell I had an injury. I walk up to 18k steps per day at times, with a daily average of between 9k to 11k depending on our projects. I'm 67 and still cruising like I'm 40. Thank you Dr Schillen and your entire staff, the entire staff in Physical Therapy led by Mr. Martin no acquaintance, I also would like to recognize the PA beautiful lady that saw me to start with when i first went to the office at Shasta Orthopedics and couldn't walk. She went running down the hall to catch the doctor as she knew he was going to be out for a week, she knew I needed emergency surgery when she viewed the MRI, sorry, I do not remember her name. she was key to my needs. Robert Martin.

Dr. Schillen is a top notch surgeon. I am having my second knee surgery in less than 9 months. He…read morehas taken such good care of me and has made sure everything got done in a timely manner. He is good at communicating all of the options available to you and is really good at dumbing them down to help you understand exactly what would be taking place and what impact that would have. He is courteous and will give his advice but seems to be very conscious of when you want to hear it and when to withhold it. I wouldn't want anyone else operating on me. I had multiple friends come to him for other surgeries and they also had nothing but the best things to say about him. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Schillen especially if you are an athlete. 17/17 on the snasty scale

I have had many painful injuries in my hands and my wrists... I have not been able to get surgery…read morefor many reasons, for one, I dont even know if non perfect people could even fix my hands and wrists or whether it would be worse ... I was referred to shasta orthopedics & they would not let me even be seen or even have a consultation unless I filled out their huge very invasive extensive paperwork ..I told them I cannot write so much with all of my injuries, but they dont care ..because it is all about them ...they were rude and bossy and so unconcerned about my pain and condition and did not offer to help fill out the paperwork at all ...also I tried to contact a doctor on the weekend, and no one was available ,,the recording said press # 1 to speak to a doctor but that number never rang ..so I can see that I would not get any follow up care & their after hours doctors are non-existent plus these doctors are getting so bold and demanding, they expect us to give them a synopsis of our entire life, asking us very inappropriate invasive questions that have nothing to do with why i went to them in the first place .. I am so sick of the way the medical industry is these days ...they have traded the Highly revered Hippocratic Oath for a selfish hypocritical oath of greed and power taking care of themselves , padding their own already thick wallets & they truly do not care about us at all...then they were sending me more mail when I told them i had no interest in playing their selfish uncaring inconsiderate games ..I would not recommend this place to anyone , & the other reviews i have read are the same ,,, so Shame on you ! I hope your poor excuse for a caring company crumbles & that all people see how horrible you really are

Had an appointment with Dr. Verhoog. Had heard amazing good things as about him from patient…read more reviews and also his surgical staff. I was really looking forward to meeting him. I arrived at my appointment with my husband. We were taken to an exam room. Dr Verhoog came in. Did not introduce himself, (I have never met him), did not greet me or my husband. Asked me what was going on with my knee. I gave him a brief summery of thr issue. He did a physical exam. Said he would get x rays. Walked out of the room. I had the x rays done there in the office. Went back to the exam room. Dr Vorhoog came back in, sat in front of the computer, brought the x rays up. Explained that I have severe arthritis, bone spurs. Then gave me a BMI chart, circling my number, which is high, something that I obviously know. Told me this can cause an eight times more likely blood clot. Then told me "I was like an old car, how much money did I want to put in it". I was stunned at his la k of professional manner, his rudness, lack of basic courtesy. Needless to say, I will not be going back to him. So disappointed. In addition, I have worked with Dignoty Health for many years, and to be treated so poorly by a professional in my "medical Family " was even more upsetting.
