This is a growing practice of excellent doctors. I came to USEC because my doctor recently joined…read morethe practice. Her quality of care remains exceptional. The office experience is dismal at best. Making appointments on the website is not the easiest, updated records don't seem to be recorded to the database that the practice uses (mostly powered by 3rd party, Athena), no one answered the phone on two separate occasions during office hours, averaging 7 minutes on hold listening to a pitch about the practice. I will go back to USEC because Dr Arthur is an excellent doctor and consummate professional, thorough and cares about patient well-being. The overall process needs to be evaluated because it is not befitting of professional organization.

That was on 2/27. My first appointment (right eye) was two days later on 2/29, and my next appointment (left eye) is tomorrow, 3/5. Talk about fitting me into the schedule in such a timely manner, not to mention the procedure itself was straight-forward, fast, and pain-free. No recovery time at all. Our friend went in for an eye exam. She doesn't speak English well and is on Medicaid-subsidized…read moreinsurance. They charged her a co-pay with her insurance company. But they refused to provide her the results of the exam without an additional $75. I spoke to them and their story made no sense whatsoever. They would immediately provide the results by email for $75 but -- due to HIPPA -- would require 3 weeks and a pile of paperwork to provide everything but the actual prescription. They called the $75 a "refraction fee" but it's actually a junk fee. It's also illegal to refuse to provide medical records under NYS 18(2). If their plan was to upsell $5-10,000 of Lazik procedures to a person whose family earns below 107% of the poverty line, it was a stupid plan and it was cruel. Don't do business with them.
