If you are looking for the absolute best dentist in the Bay Area, look no further than Dr. Linda…read moreMiyatake. I have a genuine phobia of dentists, so needing to have two wisdom teeth removed was an incredibly stressful situation for me. Before finding Dr. Miyatake, I visited two other doctors, but I left both offices feeling uncomfortable and anxious. The moment I met Dr. Miyatake, everything changed. She is truly the opposite of every "scary" dentist stereotype. Here is why I recommend her to everyone: Amazing Personality: She is incredibly kind and always laughing, which immediately put my mind at ease. Professional & Detailed: She is very detail-oriented and clearly knows exactly what she's doing. She explained everything thoroughly. Pain-Free Experience: She made the entire extraction process so smooth and, most importantly, completely painless. For the first time, I felt like I could actually trust a dentist. If you have dental anxiety or just want a professional who truly cares about her patients, please go see her. She is a gem!

PLEASE READ PRIOR TO COMMITTING TO THIS DOCTOR. Just like the other reviews have mentioned - this…read moredoctor is a scammer, disrespectful to her patients, and extremely unprofessional. I paid $175 out of pocket for another 3D x-ray to "locate my nerves," only for her to end up extracting one wisdom tooth instead of 2. She claimed that she couldn't take out my impacted wisdom tooth that has been causing me pain and took out the tooth that wasn't causing ANY ISSUES... told me I need to pay almost $800 for this ONE extraction. I asked to be referred to another doctor to take out the bottom tooth or if she could take it out and she told me I need to go back to my dentist for this referral. She also said " You need to be nice to the doctors or they won't take out the tooth for you." She then took it even further and blamed me for not getting my wisdom teeth, extracted earlier/ in my teens - stating that my bones are too hard and it's too difficult for her to take out my impacted tooth. Anybody with common sense knows that as we age, our teeth grow and bone hardens. As a former medical sales rep, I saw right through her tactics and sending patients to get another 3-D x-ray is all a referral network for her and the x-ray business to make more $$$. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE for your safety and sanity! She continuously interrupts patients when they are trying to speak or ask clarifying questions, and uses a bunch of anatomical filler words to try to make herself seem smart smarter than she is. Do not come here!!!!!!

However, I had such a great first experience with Dr. Vasanth and Paola that I have to give credit where credit is due. My first visit was just for a routine cleaning, and the scheduling + new patient forms were all quite easy to do on their website. I also received a few reminder texts in the days leading up to the appointment. From the get-go, it was evident Dr. V and Paola had taken the time to properly review my insurance plan, as they made recommendations for x-rays and upcoming visits based on my plan benefits and timing. Paola also pointed out fluoride was not covered by my insurance before asking me whether I wanted it or not for my cleaning - this attention to detail and transparency is above and beyond what I've experienced at other dentists. As for the cleaning itself, Dr. V handled it thoroughly and with a gentle touch, while consistently checking throughout to make sure I was comfortable. She has a very bubbly, friendly personality and is super easy to talk to as well. Overall, just a very pleasant experience and I'm so glad I found this place to be my team for all things dental.

I've since had 3 more appointments for fillings and each one has gone so smoothly. Dr. Vasanth and Paola are constantly checking in throughout the procedures to make sure I'm comfortable and pain free. And an additional plus, they are both so fun to chat with that I actually look forward to seeing them at each visit. So glad I've found this office for all of my family's dental needs!

From the initial consultation, everything was clearly explained: the procedure, risks, anesthesia options, and what to expect before and after surgery. They were patient with all of our questions and made my son feel comfortable and informed. On the day of the procedure, the staff was kind, organized, and calm, which really helped reduce everyone's nerves. Dr. Ahani's bedside manner was reassuring, and you could tell he is both highly skilled and genuinely caring. The surgery itself went smoothly and right on schedule. Post-op care was just as impressive. We received clear written and verbal instructions, what to watch for, how to manage pain and swelling, and when to call if anything seemed off. They followed up, responded quickly, and never made us feel like a burden. My son's recovery was much easier than we expected, with minimal discomfort and no complications. I'm extremely grateful to Dr. Ahani and his team and would recommend them without hesitation to any parent whose child needs wisdom teeth removed.

And to bloom dental after I already went to two appointments with other dentist. I almost that morning canceled the appointment honestly That would have been a HUGE mistake on my end. The appointment was nothing but perfect when I went. I originally called in to see about getting bridges after consulting with one other dentist and a surgeon about getting 4 teeth extracted. When I first called, I wasn't sure but the receptionist almost encouraged me not to come in and let me know to make an appointment after my teeth got removed. I challenged and let the lady know that I wanted to have everything prepared in advanced she said she understood and she let me make an appointment and I am so grateful that she let me go to the appointment. that morning I almost canceled , I didn't know why , but my intuition was screaming loud and clear to go to bloom dental and I had a super crystal clear good feeling I didn't know why so I went, and I will say the staff and receptionist were welcoming, informative , the Dr's assistant who she mentioned specifically they been working in the office for 17 years has made me feel extremely comfortable she did the x Ray exam and was done in a breeze, they seem to have advance technology where other dentist make it sometimes painful when doing xrays, and made the process extremely comfortable what I am so grateful for was when after my x rays the Dr explained to me that I needed to have 5 teeth removed instead of four and the severity that was going on with my overall oral health. Dr Temir, if you are reading I am extremely grateful for you, no other dentist took the tome to explain what all my problems were and come up with a GAME PLAN. When I thought I was only coming in for bridges after surgery with a different office. Dr demir is experienced I can tell, highly skilled. Extremely knowledgeable, cares for his patients and has great expertise the fact that he gave me a game plan and his assistant got me me feel very calm as I was already nervous was A+++ Service, going to the dentist was is greatest fear of mine, I am actually afraid to go to the dentist from previois experience and I highly recommend bloom dental and I know and trust that this is the best of the best. I feel like that they can handle my case and now im ready to restore my oral health with the game plan they gave me. If you are reading this yelpers do yourself a favor book an appointment with bloom dental, I checked them out myself and was nothing but a great experience. Do yourself a favor! Thank you bloom dental and Dr temir for giving me hope and helping me just at the first visit. You have my trust and thank you Dr temir for taking the time to create a treatment plan for my case. This review is mainly to describe their COVID-19 safety practices. When you arrive for your consultation, you have to knock on the office door to alert those inside that you are about to enter. Once inside, you'll find that the waiting room sofas are wrapped in plastic and there's a large air purification unit running. After you check in and get your temperature taken, you'll have to wait outside near the elevators until you're called back in. There's a small bench there. During the exam/consultation, keep your mask on until they ask you to remove it. Right after they check your teeth, they will ask you to put the mask back on. Once the scope of work is determined, you will be instructed to get a COVID test that is dated 7-9 days before your procedure. It has to be within that window so they will recommend that you schedule your test first then call them to schedule the procedure. If they don't offer the information, you should ask about the days that your surgeon's schedule is typically most open so that you can work back from there. On the date of the procedure, you will be allowed to have an escort when you arrive and check in, but then the escort will have to wait downstairs in the car until you're brought down afterward. It seems the office staff…read morehas developed a rather poor attitude towards patients and is engaging in questionable insurance practices. Dr. Ambus, I hope you see this and the other reviews because your staff is doing a real disservice to your dental practice. My experience: Earlier this year, I enrolled in a new dental insurance plan. The insurance website listed Dr. Ambus as an in-network dentist that accepted new patients, so I called in February to schedule an appointment. The office staff checked my insurance, verified that it was accepted, and scheduled my appointment for May 31, 2021. In late March, I called to check if an earlier appointment date was available. The office staff checked my info again and informed me May 31 was still the earliest available, so I agreed to keep that date. In mid-May, my wife also decided to make an appointment for herself. Upon calling the office, the staff informed her that her insurance plan was not accepted. My wife was confused and explained that her husband (me) had the same insurance with an appointment set for May 31. The staff then looked up my name and stated that I was not on the "patient roster" and my appointment was already cancelled. This was very surprising because no one from this office had notified me about any cancellations or insurance issues. I then got on the phone to ask for clarification, to which I received a rude response that my insurance was not accepted and it was "not their responsibility to check a patient's insurance". This explanation appears to be a blatant lie because this office staff did in fact check my insurance back in February before scheduling my May 31 appointment! They also just checked my wife's insurance on the phone before declining her. When I asked her to clarify this again, she hung up on me. I then called my insurance and discovered that this office had recently changed its insurance policy to accept only higher premium plans and reject lower plans like mine. Now, I understand that the pandemic affected every business financially last year including dental providers, and dental offices are free to change their insurance policy at any time. However, it's very poor business practice to change insurance policy and cancel a patient AFTER the dental provider has already accepted that patient's insurance AND confirmed the appointment. Moreover, I am even more disappointed by the poor communication including the lies and appointment cancellation without bothering to call me to inform me. Had my wife not called them, I would have never known about the cancellation and just showed up for my May 31 appointment, only to be told no appointment existed. Although Dr. Ambus seems to be a capable dentist, her office staff treats people poorly with disregard for truthful communication. My incident is similar to what others have experienced lately, and I would recommend staying away to avoid dealing with the terrible office staff and questionable insurance practices.
