    Burnt Ends platter
    Steve N.

Willard's has been around for many years in Chantilly near the expo center. By far one of the best BBQ places in Northern Virginia. I typically order burnt ends which come in a sandwich or in a platter with 2 sides. In this occasion I ordered the platter with potato salad and macaroni and cheese. The burnt ends never disappoints and is always great. The potato salad is thick with partial chunks of potatoes. Also very good. I am particular about Mac n cheese not being too saucy. Once again the Mac n Cheese is perfectly cooked and even a little crusty which I love. Stop by if you have not been to Willard's you will not be disappointed!!

Some meats were tender and some were chewy; the cornbread was delicious but the mac n cheese and bake beans were not great.. The restaurant is pretty big and offers many desserts as well. I ordered for pick up- the staff was friendly .

Brisket, bbq chicken, jerk chicken, mac and cheese, green beans

I'd be hesitant to revisit! So we stumbled across this place due to being in the area with a taste for bbq. The brisket was ok, not very tender. The bbq chicken was dry and the jerk chicken was just ok. The Mac and cheese and green beans were not too tasty either. Cashier wasn't very welcoming and wasn't very open to answering questions for us first timers. However, the prices are very reasonable.

Trio platter - Ribs, bbq chicken, brisket, Potato Salad, Mac N Cheese

Not gonna lie, I was afraid the BBQ would be awful here because of very inconsistent reviews, but I'm happy I gave it a shot. Excellent value for the price, about $42 after tax for 2 trio platters with 2 rolls and sliced white bread on the side. Corn bread is included with the platters. I also really liked the fact you can select the cut of chicken (dark or white) and brisket (regular, moist, or lean). My boyfriend and I got the same meats but different sides. Right off the bat, I can see my takeout box received more than his - For instance, my ribs portion had 3 and his had 2. It was still a good amount of food either way. I also ordered one slice of bread on the side but received 3 - Can't complain. MY ORDER: Moist brisket, BBQ chicken (dark), ribs with a side of Mac and cheese and green beans - Moist brisket was great, I like fatty meats more. I also got a roll on the side, which I recommend. Delicious when you put in some brisket! - Ribs were good - Not fall off the bone which ribs apparently aren't supposed to be anyway - The BBQ chicken was my least favorite but still something edible. It was weirdly a little dry in some parts despite being dark meat? - Mac and cheese was much better than I expected - Green beans were typical, good contrast to the other saltier items - Corn bread was a little dry - After I microwaved it for 30 seconds it was sooo much better! - Asked for sweet sauce on the side when I ordered online but did not receive any at all :( But the bbq could still hold itself MY BOYFRIEND'S ORDER: Brisket, BBQ chicken (dark), ribs with a side of Mac and cheese and potato salad - He also enjoyed the meats and sides. He didn't get the moist brisket though, and his did look less fatty. - The potato salad he got was EXCELLENT. Huge chunks of potato in there, and not too tart. I wish I got that! Some things can be improved but 5 stars for portion, price, and overall yummy meal.

    Texas sampler

Uber delivery: the food was a surprising portion for what you pay. I got the Texas sampler, and it was truly worth every penny. It came with pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and two ribs. The side of Mac and cheese was unique with a Smokey touch to it. The cornbread, when warmed, was delicious I could order a dozen of those pieces. Will definitely go in person to sit down and enjoy them hot and fresh next time.

Right next to our barbershop is this bbq place that I have not tried! Their price is pretty reasonable for the platters, you get to pick 2 sides along with your choice of protein and also a cornbread with every platter. We got the pulled bbq chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket and a quart of their chili. If you are ever lazy and want some chili but don't want to make it, this is the plsce to go. Everything tasted delicious. We didn't finish it all and saved it for lunch the next day. Their platter are generous size

Excellent fall off the bone DELICIOUS ribs and amazingly good skin on mashed potatoes!! YUMMY!! The place was PACKED on a rainy day, however, we still received great service and the tables were clean. I also got me a Stella to wash it all down!! ;-) LOVED IT ALL!!

Steak bomb sandwich and sides (half of sandwich already eaten).

I like Willard a lot. The prices are fair and the BBQ is good. That said. On my last visit the cashier recommended the steak bomb (a cheesesteak). I regretted it. It was too spicy and didn't compare to the usual great BBQ. So my take is. This place is great, but stick to the classic BBQ items.

Love the food here! I typically order the smoked turkey with cranberry sandwich! My go to! The price $11 with 2 sides is a great deal! The homemade lemonade is great too!

This is a real-deal BBQ spot, but you have to order to your taste. I came here on a date while passing through the area and we ordered: (1) Ribs (2) Chopped BBQ (3) Brisket (4) Macaroni Salad (5) Collard Greens (6) Dirty Rice. So, the ribs are great if you like sugary ribs with a heavy presence of black pepper. Way too sweet for my taste, but great texture that will satisfy anyone with a sweat tooth. The chopped BBQ is as good as it gets. It's the real deal. The brisket was incredible. Also, the real deal. The macaroni salad was over salted, but otherwise really really really good. The collard greens were solid. They grew cold quick on our tray, but otherwise provided great roughage. They're not slam-down great collard greens, but still good, and I didn't taste much sugar. The dirty rice was very saucy. Not bad at all, but not what I expected with our order. If I had to do it again, and I will, when I visit the area again, I would have substituted the dirty rice with green beans, and will also order some corn bread. This is a very casual spot with no alcohol, which makes it perfect for families. There is plenty of parking and the pricing of their dishes is really good. We walked out only paying with tip, about $60.00. This is a REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY great spot with a ton of options. Don't think twice if you're in the mood for southern BBQ. I rate a 4.5/5, only for my personal taste on the ribs which are exceptionally sugary.

Dry ribs, dry chicken. Very disappointing. For $155 to get dry food is ridiculous. Can't even upload images for proof.

At that time, only parking was at Emerick Elementary School, but there's also closer parking at the community center lot. I actually opted to park in a residential neighborhood, as the street was closer to the event. Well, good thing is dogs are allowed. And I remember it was a "rain or shine" event, which was good, seeing as how it certainly was drizzling at the time -- and likely had rained well before then. A lot of food trucks at the event, in the Fireman's Field area. I beheld a Fords Fish Shack truck, one for a pizza I'd never heard of, and some kind of southern or soul food. No idea of anything, and kinda glad I saw the food truck for the "What the Heck BBQ" at last. This was my first time ordering something here, so at the food truck I just asked for popular choices, and went to knock 'em both out. Brisket and Pulled Pork topped the list, so I got a 2-meats plate with them both, and with flavored Mac and Cheese and Texas Baked BBQ Beans on the side. Packed three small cups of BBQ sauce, one regular and the others of the spicy variant. Ate out at one of the lone picnic tables near the entrance to the park. It was a nice afternoon and the rain had stopped. The brisket was good and so was the pulled pork. I liked the sides more than the main dish, for some reason. Mac and cheese was heavenly but prob had a lot of calories packed in. BBQ beans were spot on, and complimented the meat with their own BBQ sauces. All in all, a close home run and well done for what was essentially a to-go order -- yeah, planning was not outstanding. All in all, great food truck selling barbecue meat and foods. Great Mac 'n cheese by the way. Who knows, hopefully one day I'll swing by the store in Chantilly at least once.

The inside of the restaurant is nicer than expected, with a cavernous and industrial feel. Our waitress was the only one working the whole restaurant. She nonetheless provided prompt and efficient service, including meat cooking, during our meal. We opted for AYCE option for $38. We sampled the spicy pork belly, spicy and regular pork bulgogi, and the thinly sliced pork belly. All the pork cuts had a tender texture and we found the marinades savory and not too sweet, in comparison to other restaurants. The sole beef option I tried was the top blade steak. While tender, the meat was watery and subsequently lacked flavor. We found the banchan and side dishes here weak. Most of the banchan had too much sugar for our palette. Banchan were limited to basic selections such as kimchi, potato salad, and picked radish; some higher end choices such as fish cake would have been welcome. The corn cheese, while gooey, lacked seasoning. The fried rice cakes had a pleasantly crisp and bouncy texture when served fresh, though gummed up after a couple of minutes. The steamed eggs actually had great flavor, but are cooked on the grill such that the bottoms burn. Overall, this felt like a relatively standard KBBQ experience for the area. While the pork options tasted of a decent quality, the remainder of the meal fell a bit flat. While not bad by any means, we experienced no compelling reason to return to the Qui over either a new restaurant or repeat visit to a standby.
