Finally realized that Cost Plus closed at like 9pm so I was stuck with the second nearest choice this place... which had no phone # to call to confirm. But I easily drove to it on the way out, kind of an odd location by the highway, but reverse from the exit. I walked in and there were some neighborhood friends talking to the owners of the place in some language I couldn't quite make out. I immediately just asked about the drink and one of the guys knew it right away. I bought two 4-packs, and I believe they had one more that night but didn't want anymore at that time. I believe it was like $8 per 4-pack. I'm glad I was able to get it not too far off from where I was from, hehe. The guys running this place are good people, I wonder what country they are from...!

There are a number of businesses across the street (framing and furniture, I believe) as well as restaurants scattered around the area. Normally, this store type would rate a four for me but I was happily surprised with my interaction with the cashier who was very laid back and cordial. After wishing him a nice weekend, he surprisingly replied with enthusiasm, "You too!". When I'm able to leave a business with a smile and a warm heart, the fifth star is earned in my book.

Support Black owned businesses! Bob has officially been…read morerunning and owning Southside liquors for 40 years now. He is such a huge staple in the hunters point community. He's the only black owned store left on harbor road. Bob offers everything a convenient store could and should have. He is also popular for making hotlinks and hotdogs and has been offering them every day for over the last 20 years. The store is located near Harbor Shoreline park. Which is just a small distance walk away and a nice place to have parties, picnics, walk around or just to take your kid to the park. Bob is very special to the San Francisco community and is known far and near. He has watched nearly all my family members grow old with his business. And sometimes if you're a little short of change he doesn't mind giving you what you need anyway. He closes on Sunday's and sells wonderful BBQ rib plates with his colleagues on Saturday. FYI there is always a group of OG guys chilling and hanging out playing dominoes and listening to music outside of the store, they are the friendly neighbors of the block who have also been living in the neighborhood for countless of years. I love their sandwiches! Sam and Ali who work there are very friendly and extremely helpful. I was deciding between getting the turkey or roast beef or salami sandwich. Sam was nice enough to let me try all three meats to decide on my choice. I ended up getting a turkey, smoked ham, and salami sandwich on french roll that day. They have a homemade pesto sauce that is used on the sandwiches which is delicious! All sandwiches are made with mayo, mustard, pesto sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, peppercinnis, jalepenos, salt, peper, and vinegarette dressing. I usually like mine without mustard, peppercinnis, and jalepenos. They offer two kinds of bread, dutch crunch and french roll. You can choose between a cold sandwich or toasted. I usually like mine toasted. My favorite combos are turkey, swiss, avocado & roast beef, salami, provolone. YUM!! I was there today and Ali let me try a slice of their beef bologne.
