Normally, this store type would rate a four for me but I was happily surprised with my interaction with the cashier who was very laid back and cordial. After wishing him a nice weekend, he surprisingly replied with enthusiasm, "You too!". When I'm able to leave a business with a smile and a warm heart, the fifth star is earned in my book.

The bread is always soft and fresh, the meats are high quality, and they load each sandwich with care. You can taste the love in every bite. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when there's a line (which there usually is -- and for good reason). Parking can be tricky, but honestly, it's worth circling the block. White Palace is a true SF gem, and I'll keep coming back as long as they're making sandwiches.
