Finally on my recent trip there for my latest project they helped me find a substitute Jack for the RJ25 connectors. This not only allowed me to salvage a damaged robot. But now I have a flexible tool for troubleshooting and prototyping. Now they are my first stop whenever I am gathering materials for my projects. Against my better judgment I decided to try it. (This was admittedly my fault for believing him, however it would be good to have somewhat knowledgable staff on the floor or at least to not be so sure it would work if they were not 100%). Anyway, after it didn't work, I took it back to the store, but they would not accept it as it was a couple days after the 30 day return policy. I understand the need for 30 day policy for electronic items for sure, however I felt this was a bit different since their employee repeatedly told me it would work for my needs. I had all packaging and receipts, and would have even been good with store credit, but they were unwilling to do anything for me. It had seemed that all the food in my refrigerator was going to spoil. I did a little searching around and found that my local radio shack had 23 in stock! Yes!!! I went into the store about 20 minutes after they had opened and the two women working there were very nice and helped me find exactly what I needed. The inside of the store was clean and well organized. The store has definitely become more based around cell phones and their accessories, but It was nice to see they still had the parts that made them who they are.
