I have been going to Salon TM:2 for about a year now and I am so glad I found them. When I first called, I was not sure who to ask for as I have curly hair and wanted someone who knew how to handle curly hair. They placed me with Shannon Ely. What a joy!!! (FYI Shannon handles all types of hair, not just curly hair.) I had been really close with my last hair stylist and I was sad to leave her and also scared to go to someone new, but Shannon eased all of my fears and since going to her I have received so many compliments on my hair color. Shannon has a wonderful attitude on life and is very easy going and makes every appointment such a pleasant experience. The salon is very clean and they always have good cucumber water and cookies...and wine. I had 2 veteran talented long term stylists from Linear/Carlton at SCP-went there since the late 90's. Let's just say I was spoiled with both stylists. I experienced another stylist prior to Salon TM:2 and 1 prior to Linear/Carlton and I can tell you what a difference it makes to have the right person taking care of your hair. Either you're walking out feeling like a million $s or like you don't know what happened. Chelsea at Salon TM:2 is extremely talented-she's a pro. I've been with her for 2 1/2 years and referred her to 2 other people who have since remained her clients and thank me for her referral all the time. We all have different hair types! She's magical! I had been seeing another stylist for 4 years, but was never really happy with my cut, I just liked the color. I finally built up the courage to try to find someone new who had the whole package -- great with color & cuts. Didn't even get a haircut so I can't say anything about the stylists. However I did go in last night to get some hair product..I walked in and saw who I thought was the receptionist (i dont know short black haired male) in the breakroom I said hello how are you, and he looked at me..Didn't say anything and just closed the door on me..very rude. Then no one came up to help me...would've been the easiest $30 in the world..but the rudeness displayed instead lost them a sale and caused me to leave this review..there are plenty of other places to spend my money. read more

The salon is very nice and lots of natural light. But I am giving 5 stars to Linda Burgos - she rocks! She cuts and colors like no other and is amazing and flexible. I moved to CA 19 years ago and was so fortunate to have found Torey Martino, owner of Wildroot Salon. I have been with him the whole 19 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. His color and cut have brought many compliments over the years and I've even had strangers actually take my picture so they could take it to their hairdresser to replicate. The salon itself is amazing and the staff are all committed to providing an excellent experience for their customers. The products the salon provides are top notch and they work very hard to keep the most up-to-date, high quality products available for their customers. Finding the right hairdresser is an extremely important, as well as personal, decision and I'm so blessed to have found Torey. This is my favorite salon in OC and my stylist, Mahnaz knows just how to cut my hair to make it maintenance free. Recently, I talked with Mahnaz about letting my hair grow, and yes, she helped me transition from a short haircut to a long one without the all-too-annoying-in-between phase. I walked in and waited for 30 minutes so they could tell me the lady was running late and that I should reschedule. I had to get my haircut for work the next day so i went elsewhere. The lady who was supposed to cut my hair did give me a call to let me know she would cut my hair for free but time is money. I have been Nicole's client for many years! She knows how to deal with difficult hair like mine! She is an incredible artist and takes great pride in her hair designs and the colors she selects to use on her clients! Although I am a somewhat conservative person, I have had gorgeous red hair and also red and a magenta streak that was skillfully veiled. The service at this salon is fantastic and a great deal compared to other places in Orange County. Even though I get my hair cut on the infrequent side, I always feel right at home when I walk in (orange juice, coffee, and tea bar for customers!). The front office staff is GREAT and manages to combine professionalism and personality beautifully. I have seen Charissa and Hai and adore both. Recently (Saturday 5/11/13) Hai cut my very thick, curl hair for the first time. Three days later and I am still happy and giddy at what a great job he did. He immediately felt like an old friend and really knew how to deal with my sometimes troublesome locks. $55 seems to be their flat rate for a standard cut and Hai (and in the past Charissa) have always spent well over an hour trimming, straightening, and trimming again when working with my curls. I consider this a great deal and highly doubt you can find better stylists or a better deal anywhere else. (Customer since 2008) read more

I mentioned the Yelp deal when I called to make the appointment. Everything seemed fine when I got there my stylist Shanaz seemed very sweet, until I was ask to pay early because they were going to close the registers, all of a sudden, I was having a very uncomfortable conversation with my stylist and receptionist, who looked also embarrassed, because my hairstylist didn't know about any involment with Yelp, and very openly upset to have been assigned to a Yelp customer! Yikes! I just wanted out of this, the last thing I needed was an unhappy stylist doing my hair!!!! But I had color all over already. My stylist was a very sweet lady in the beggining but her attitude totally changed after this. I was trying to be as diplomatic as possible, i REALLY didnt want her upset while doing my hair, but this was beyond uncomfortable for both of us, she was very abrassive as she was washing and brushing my hair. This was the worst hair experience ever, for the first time after leaving a hair salon, I will go home, wash my hair and do my own thing. read more

I have been going to this place since it was located off Jeffrey and Irvine Center Dr. For the longest time I was searching for a salon that had awesome hair stylists and the best ambiance ever. On my first visit I had my appt with Shanaz and she knew exactly what I wanted and did a awesome job! I have been going to Shanaz for 5 years now and OMG is she the best ever! Not only is she the best stylist I have ever had, but she has been like a close friend to me. My mother goes to her for styling and my cousin goes to the same salon. For the longest time she has been doing my hair and has never let me down :) I couldn't imagine going to anyone else but her and I'm just glad I can trust her to make my hair look gorgeous! I had been wanting to try out hair extensions for the longest time and so I consulted with her about the idea. I love love love my extensions!
