As such, this place is unsurprisingly quite popular on Friday night (or Thursday night also), or just nights when people typically have social activities in general. Personally, I feel like the food is not bad. I first came a number of years ago, and thought at the time that the food was pretty good. Having come back again in the past couple months as well, I found myself still basically feeling that way. However, I feel like this place is pretty bad value overall. It's very expensive, which is, I feel, mainly due to the high overhead costs. Having a restaurant in this one little area is very expensive, considering this is prime office real estate. The problem is made worse by the fact that they just have such a large space here. The amount of food you get is not really in line with the price you pay; it would be one thing if it were expensive and you got enough food with your dollar, but that's just not the case, even if the food is good. The problem isn't just M&M fox however, Quarry Bay in general is in general just a wasteland when it comes to fine dining that is actually good value. I think if you're really determined to have western food that is like... better than mcdonalds, you should either go to frites (less than five minutes away), or just not dine in this neighborhood in general.

The pizzas are great, and the selection is large, although a bit on the dry, biscuit-y side, and not as good as the more established (chain owned) pizzerias like Linguini Fini and Piccolo. I heard the owner Jacomax is usually based in the Sheung Wan shop and actually makes the pizzas himself, so perhaps that's where you can find the best quality. On a Saturday evening, the restaurant was very much packed so making a reservation in advance is recommended. The four of us shared a bottle of wine which our server kept chilled the entire time. The restaurant is dimly lit making it a good spot for dates. We started off with their Eggplants Dish and Prosciutto Salad. Both were a delight with the salad being a surprise hit. Great slices of meat to accompany our medley of greens. Both came out relatively quick after placing our orders and right before our pizza. Finally, the main entree were delivered in the form of a Spinach Prosciutto Pizza (do you see the trend here?) We absolutely loved the combination even if it seemed very simple. The crust was very fluffy and replicated that wood fire taste very well. Slices were not completely thin like New Yorkers seem to enjoy and were easy to hold and enjoy. Overall, really good pizza for being in Hong Kong. I'd definitely come back again if I was craving a taste of Italian in this mega city.

There is a certain appeal to places where one can be in and out, ideal for the fast paced Hong Konger. From my eyes, there are only two acceptable scenarios for consuming this pizza: being drunk or being broke. Inebriated dining is only great for sobering up and budget dining doesn't exactly apply given the pricing. Ultimately, the pizza is floppy where the crust lacks any crunch, sauce is subpar and even the toppings are suspect. Many of their slices feel doughy and the char is non-existent. This is really sad pizza. The mostly Nepali staff is nice, which merits another star in my book. But even solid customer service doesn't make up for a lack of quality. I will take my chances on another pizza joint, but not Paisano's.

A little expensive for pizza, but since I do not eat it often, I think it's well worth it. The brussel sprout pizza is my favorite, and unique (I've never seen it at another pizza place). Having been there multiple times, I was a bit surprised when on this recent visit is when they handed us a stamped loyalty card. I asked our sweet server if this was something new and she said no. I asked her why they didn't inform us of that on our previous visits and she, of course, didn't have an answer, but politely mentioned she's seen us before and that's why she gave it to us. The pizzas are good. They've added cocktails recently here, I reckon. Their menu keeps changing.
