The trip to the west side is worth it for Wild Mike's. The best wings in Cincinnati and maybe anywhere. What makes them so good? Definitely the sauces. My favorite is the hot barbeque and their blue cheese (which they make from scratch) is some of the best I have ever tasted. I love their cajun curly fries and grilled chicken sandwich as well. Be sure to add your favorite sauce to the chicken sandwich. From a decor standpoint it is fine, I would not call it an upscale sports bar but the food is the star of this show. I'm not a huge into the hot wings, because most of the time I eat them, it's like chewing on rubber. They have the greatest wings in the world though, they are crispy, and their sauces are wonderful. I'm a huge fan of the extra hot garlic wings, yum. The place is typical for a sports bar and grill, they have signed sports memorabilia everywhere, and TV's in every corner. It's a great place to take the family, or hang with friends. The service is good, and the prices to portion ratio is outstanding. I love this place. read more

In fact, a buddy of mine and I actually did an intentional contest to find the best chicken wing over the period of a year or so. And Wild Mike's has hands down THE BEST chicken wing. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My husband likes wings, but I don't, and that's what they are known for. He ordered 8 wings with the garlic sauce and thoroughly enjoyed them. They are very messy and are drenched in sauce, so be prepared to need extra napkins. I ordered the smothered chicken breast with a baked potato and side salad. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and onion rings. The mozzarella sticks were overdone, but still tasty, and the onion rings were the right level of crispy. They slice the onions very thin so you get a good ratio of breading to onion. My smothered chicken came with a teriyaki sauce on the side, but I didn't like it, so I left it. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, and very juicy. I enjoyed the melted cheese and mushrooms over the top. The baked potato and side salad were good too, and pretty fresh. I was disappointed in their beer selection. There was only one I wanted to drink (out of the 8-10 bottles offered) and usually I have several options. The dining room is pretty small and so is the parking lot. All of the staff is friendly and served us very quickly. We were expecting a long wait and got seated immediately. They also do a brisk business in to-go orders of their wings. I'd be willing to try them again and order the boneless wings next time. This place is a West Side Mecca so I had to check it out. If it were not for all the hype that had been forced upon me I would have gone into the rather unassuming establishment with rather low expectations. However, that was not the case. I was expecting to consume the proverbial Golden Goose wing. I was hoping that in one bite my head would explode in a torrent of buffalo goodness cascading into my soul. It did not. The wings are pretty average for the region. They are bigger and tastier then bw3s. And the sauces are limited but flavorful. I even tried the Mike's mix that combined them and the Super hot off the menu sauce. All in all they were good. If you are in the area and curious then stop in. You wont have a bad experience. If you want the best wings in the city, they aren't here. read more

The atmosphere is nothing special, but the wings are the bomb. Best in town! My new favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich. It's a large chicken breast, breaded and pounded out. BEST WINGS IN CINCINNATI!! These wings blow B-dubs and other similar places out of the water. Always perfectly cooked, the wings are a good size! The sauces they use are extremely flavorful, my husband loves their BBQ while I go for the Mike's Mix. I've tried some other menu items and everything has been satisfactory. This particular location needs a little remodeling in my opinion. Everything looks very dated to me and not in a cool/trendy way. I would love to see them make some improvements! The place does get crowded at peak dinner times/weekends. But it's always a fun atmosphere and everybody that works there is friendly. This is definitely one our go-to's on the west side. Unless you are going to eat Buffalo wings in Buffalo- Wild Mikes is the next best thing!!! I've had wings at the Anchor Bar and Duff's (hard call there on whose is the best...) and Wild Mike's is the closest Cincinnati has to offer to the originals. I've been coming here for YEARS! Even though I have moved away, anytime I am home visiting my family on the Westside we make it for wings. (I even came here after I ran the Flying Pig Marathon 2010). The best wings on the west side! The Mike's Mix Hot is a mix of many different sauces and is a pleasant change in wing sauce choices. The fries are wonderful especially with the hot seasoning. There are arcade games for children to play while waiting but are right next to tables of patrons. This place can get crowded so pick up can be a good choice. I went to the Wild Mikes on Harrison expecting great food but ended up getting food poisoning. The place was dirty and the staff were rude. I complained to the manager Mike, but he was offensive and dismissive to my complaints. The wings came out dry and overcooked. My utensils were dirty and the bathrooms were disgusting. I ate there at 8pm and was vomiting by 11pm. I would never go here again and would not wish it on my enemies to have a meal there. Tyson frozen chicken wings are better than these wings. read more

The wings are essentially swimming in red oil that I guess is the sauce. The wings themselves are ok but that sauce, the medium buffalo, is absolutely appalling. I want a sauce that sticks to my wings, not a swimming pool for them. Also, I got an order of 16 wings (I believe) and was give one tiny ranch dressing, with the option to pay more for another minuscule cup. I was in today and bought 12 wings. I used to insist on seeing the wings before they package them. I have had a problem with this location of recooking leftover wings , and serving them as fresh. That is until the day that Mike, the owner essentially calls me a liar and said that they always make their wings fresh. Having that illusion is an honorable policy, unfortunately your employees don't have the same standards as you. At $11.99 for a dozen wings, these should be perfect. Instead they were grossly overcooked and dry. Mikes used to be the best in town. Now they are just a shadow of who they used to be, unless of course Mike is there to oversee the operation. read more
