This place is very good but for an upscale establishment there are some improvements to be made. First off, if you are going to require reservations (as mentioned on the website) you better have an online option (which they don't). Don't pretend you are a Michelin star restaurant that only takes reservations over the phone because you guys are far from Michelin level. I ordered the scallops with risotto for dinner and the crème brûlée for dessert. The scallop dish was well presented, cooked well and had good flavors. The risotto didn't taste like a traditionally cooked risotto and definitely needed seasoning. The dish needed some heat or acidity to balance the rich and sweetness. Perhaps some very thinly sliced jalapeños. The crème brûlée was both overcooked (curdly) and undercooked (bottom was runny) at the same time. It had good flavors and was presented well. Service was very good. I sat at the bar and was very well attended to by a very friendly young lady. In a nutshell, the ideas and recipes seemed good but execution needs a bit of work. I highly recommend the Wild Mango because of the great atmosphere, excellent service and especially the fantastic food and huge portions! I planned my daughter's wedding reception on their private outdoor patio which easily fit 100 people with room for dancing. The owner was extremely helpful, accommodating, easy to work with and modified his menu to provide our guests Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, and other dietary options. The Groom's cake they made was a to-die-for chocolate torte with Chinese symbols for happiness, prosperity, good luck. The staff was very attentive and professional and the meal service was completed very quickly so that no one was waiting to be served while the next wedding activities were started. The appetizers and desserts were continuously replenished so that they were freshly made. All of our guests raved about how tasty the food was and loved the ambiance of their spectacular patio with fireplace and overhead lighting to make for a magical evening. We went here for a Mother's Day lunch. This is not our first time eating here. Although the good menu is extensive and the meals are photogenic, I found no flavor in the unexpected green mashed potatoes, the fried chicken in the chicken trio was overdone. The wrapped chicken breast was too salty. The tenderloin was not very tasty and there were too many mushrooms. The service was slow. It took quite a bit of time to get more water at the table. The waitress could have read the table a little better. There was a high pitch, intermittent sound that sounded like an alarm going off. After asking about the sound, which was extremely bothersome to those at our table she told us she thought it was the dishwasher. Some of our party is familiar with certain staff members and dine there often. They are always very pleasant and it is always nice to see them. For the price, I think they should do better. read more

The best thing about this place is the decor. The service was lacking, the food was meh and they were short staffed. A larger crowd came after us and they were prioritized first for some reason. We literally waited 30 minutes just to pay for the food. Definitely won't be visiting again. read more

I truly enjoy the food, however twice they've stated I had no reservation when I had made them, once was for 8 people and although they seated us, the restaurant was nearly empty and we were pushed against a wall and had a bench for 4 folks to slide across unnecessarily. Seating not comfortable with all the pillows, and velvet benches were stained, not attractive as when first opened. Service very slow, one order omitted completely and we were never asked if we'd like starters, deserts or after dinner coffees or drinks. If I am at an pricey "upscale" restaurant I'd like to be treated as if my business mattered. I will not go back as I've given them too many opportunities to provide value. There has also been some rudeness from hostess upon entry on multiple occasions, and this is poor impression when one expecting to be greeted. read more

The bread service is delicious, my meal, a steaming bowl of Coconut Curry Shrimp Noodle Soup was a hug in a bowl. Great meal and food but BEWARE, if you pay with a credit card the final amount you write on the slip with your signature may not match what they actually charge. I took some people out for a business lunch and when examining my credit card bill one week later I noticed they added $3 without my permission on top of the post-gratuity final amount that I signed for. I think this is illegal and if they do this every time they are embezzling from everyone. The point is - check your credit card statement and make sure the amount you signed for on your receipt is the exact amount they charged you. read more

The staff were super attentive, clearing plates and filling drinks like a well-oiled machine. We had different servers across our meal each serving a specific role. We had such an amazing experience at Wild Mango. The service and atmosphere was a healthy mix of fine dining and casual. Every bite of the food was delicious. Today was disappointing. Not the food, but the unfriendly host, which he hasn't changed from the first time we met him. Service was very slow. Soup never came, or tea refill. Coffee was old, and not presented like in the past. I sent it back. So, there's a 2% service charge, but service not the greatest today. Last minute. Older kids in town for holiday week. Wanted to try something new. Came here thinking our party of four would be able to choose from a wide variety of mostly Asian dishes (like Viengs used to offer). First thing that struck us is that we were under-dressed. This place remodeled extensively...very upscale, almost gaudy vibe. Chairs and booths are way overdone and, honestly, not that comfortable. Menu is actually not that big and there aren't many options for someone looking for something "traditional" (example - only one soup option). The food was very good. Service was relatively slow, but presentation was impressive. I might try this again someday, but I think this is trying to be a special occasion place, not the casual/upscale place that many Crocker Park restaurants are. Good luck with that! I really want this place to stay, but it won't be on our regular rotation like its predecessor was. My bad for having that expectation read more

Reserved a private room several weeks in advance. Went to the restaurant in person 3 weeks before and was shown the room we were to be in. Also while I was there spoke to the chef/manager about the menu. Confirmed the reservation 5 days before the event by phone. Get there and they claim they have no record of the reservation and that another party had booked our room. Eventually got a lesser room ready for us. Very disappointing experience. Having lunch with 6 of my friends and decided to try the new Wild Mango. We were greeted by a very rude and unwelcoming hostess. No one was at the reception door and since we were meeting other ladies we walked in to see if they were already seated. Before we could walk into the restaurant she stopped us and asked us to please go back to the reception and not very politely. We were asked if we make a reservation and we said we were sorry we weren't aware we needed one on a Wednesday at 12:30. She said next time beautiful, make a reservation! She treated us like we were dirt under her shoes. The food and the service were excellent. Everyone in the restaurant couldn't have been nicer! I would give this restaurant five stars if it weren't for this rude hostess! I hope she was just having a bad day and not the way she treats customers. read more

Went to Wild Mango for dinner last Saturday and the service was TERRIBLE!!! We went to the bar first and it took almost 15 minutes to get waited on and we were the only 4 people in the bar. We then were seated at 7:00 and after 20 minutes of waiting no server ever came to our table, I asked a manager that was walking by if we would see a waiter soon and never even got a reply. We waited another 10 minutes and finally left and went somewhere else. The host could have cared less about us leaving. What a shame the food is normally good, but then again so was the service normally good. read more

We used to frequent this brand when it was in North Olmstead. They moved to Crocker Park taking over the former Veing's spot. They really took it up a notch or two with the new ambience and layout. The staff was very professional and friendly. Unfortunately the kitchen service was very slow after ordering and they weren't that full at the time. The food was good and well presented but we had to send back the duck fettuccini...WAY over seasoned with salt. Pricing is pretty thick which probably is to cover for the remodeling costs and overhead. I kinda miss the old location with creative cuisine, reasonable pricing and faster service. We went there at 6:30pm on a Friday evening. Crocker Park was busy but Wild Mango was kind of empty and after eating there I have my answer. The service was fantastic and the food presentation was artistic and beautiful. My meal wasn't great at all. All of us shared appetizers. The potstickers were oily and a title tough. I had the Vietnamese Bowl with grilled shrimp and chicken spring rolls were in the salad. I was excited to try it because it looked very interesting on the menu. Again, the spring rolls were oily and soft and the grilled shrimp way overcooked and very salty. The entire place is about a great presentation but the food is just not that great and not worth the high prices they charge. read more

Food, ambiance and service are fantastic. I absolutely love the way they do their presentations. Everything is fancy looking and delicious. Prices are perfectly reasonable for the quality. The only thing I didn't like was the older woman working at reception seemed stressed and was a little short with us and I couldn't understand why because we were there at lunchtime on a week day and it was not busy.
