They are patient with any questions you might have and always accepting of some taste tests of their selections. They take pride in their products and actively help to sustain the bee population in the area and are supportive of environmental causes. There are so many varieties of honey they sell that I can't list them all, but some of my favorites are the Local Centralia/Chehalis Blend, WA Wildfire, WA Clover, WA Fireweed, and WA Blueberry. The teas, soaps, and incense that are stocked are also wonderful - with plenty of selections for everyone ... you can definitely find something you like. Take the time to enjoy the shop, try some of the free tastes, and walk out with a sweet treat made from local bees. Love it!

It was my fault for not checking the total price when I was paying. But these deceptive sales tactics of charging customers for things they do not want and doing it in a sneaky way is NOT ok!!!!! But before I broke out that mead a trip to the Olympia area was already in the works so I figured I'd go to their taproom in Lacey. I was quite impressed with the mead here! The first mead I had was the Pink Bike Helmet mead. This had a great blending of pear and apple and of course honey. The balance was well handled and I enjoyed it. But the mead that I liked best, even after I broke open the Death Metal Guys bottle on Thanksgiving was their Hatch Chili Mead. Oh, man! I'm very partial to hatch chilis in the first place but the fact that I came across a pepper mead was just wonderful! It had a nice heated kick to it with the smoothness of the honey that followed. A fantastic mead and one I'd definitely seek out again. Then like I said I broke out the Death Metal Guys over the Thanksgiving holiday. This was a syrupy, blackberry mead with a boozy flair to it. It was good too and perfect for the holiday! But my mind will always drift back to that Hatch Chili Mead. Just writing this review makes me want to plan another trip down to their taproom so I can have another glass!

Personally I think since the change took place the cider has gotten better. I was kind of iffy with the predecessor business that was here and their cider but I liked the several ciders I tasted with Chapman quite well. I tried the Strawberry Fields cider, Apple Pie, Tumwater Tea , Bourbon Vanilla and a few others. It was good cider and the place was friendly and informative. I actually really like the location for this cidery as there are breweries very close to Chapman Cider. Matchless and Triceratops breweries are easily within walking distance and with any luck a food truck or two while you stroll about trying out the different drink options that are in this business park.
