Looks closed even though the place is open. Smithtown location was small. Service was good. Sesame chicken was good but not the same compared to the RVC location. I want more chicken and less breading.

I'm really glad I found this sushi place near me. As far as sushi is concerned what would you be looking for? Cleanliness certainly, unique and traditional sushi rolls, and friendly service. Wild Ginger does hit those marks. If your in the area, live nearby, I'd say give this a go. I was super happy with our waitress who was really helpful and really nice.

A friend of mine introduced me to Wild Ginger, and I am so happy they did! We love this restaurant and it's perfect for lunch or dinner. The lunch menu is perfect, everything comes with soup or salad, great portions and a great price. The service is super nice and friendly and the food is always on point! It's a nice, comfortable atmosphere and I highly recommend going here for lunch or dinner - or take-out! :) Including some pics of meals we have had in the last few weeks!

Hubby and I were passing and stopped on a whim for a late lunch. Greeted by a friendly staff and seated by the window. Wild Ginger is a small and simple restaurant situated in a tiny shopping center. Complementary fried wonton chips and duck sauce was immediately placed on the table. Our crispy salads and spinach egg drop soup came shorty after. We ordered a few Rolls and a dinner entree that we were very pleased with. Everything was delicious and fresh. Very happy our food came out steaming hot since temperature is a big deal to me. My only suggestion , be more generous with the rice. Want to thank the staff for excellent service. Really appreciated that you keep the water and napkins coming. Lunch worked out very well and we plan on returning again when we're in the area.

Love that when we sat down they gave us a version of chips with dip. Fried Wonton chips with a ginger dipping sauce, hubby said it's like a sweet duck sauce. I ordered edamame, it was super salty but it's ok because I only need what's inside lol. I had two full rolls, hubby wasn't that hungry so he went with 2 half rolls. Love that they have an option on half rolls. I ordered the lobster roll and the wow roll. The lobster roll is the one that really wowed me! The roll is fried! Oh my! I've never experienced that, it was soooo good!!! Scrumptious!!! The wow roll was really good too. I love how they have many different options on their signature rolls. Hubby ordered the kamikaze 1/2 roll and the New York 1/2 roll. We were too full for dessert but I can't wait to back again.

Such a cute and cozy sushi restaurant. Service is fast, restaurant is clean, and most importantly--the food is delicious.

They have happy hour from 3-7pm drinks are $7-8 and hot apps are $8 . I got a glass of wine and the Bang Bang cauliflower. I asked for the sauce on the side as sometimes it's too spicy. The cauliflower was in a tempura batter which was light and crispy and the sauce was more sweet then spicy but had a nice flavor. After my friend arrived we ordered the pork dumplings, which were tasty but nothing special. Eventually we moved to the dinning room. The menu is extensive with many hot dishes and sushi selections. There is a $29 price fixe that includes soup or salad, a small plate or dim sum, a kitchen entree and dessert with no restrictions off the full menu. Quite a bargain. We both got the wonton soup, which was ok but could have been hotter in temperature. We got the wagyu short rib potstickers and the crystal shrimp shumai, the beef were dry and benefited from the dipping sauce, the shrimp were fine. I got the Tiger prawns which was the star of the meal. Huge shrimp stacked high with a light sauce over shredded cabbage serves with either brown or white rice. I took half of them home. My friend doesn't like spicy food so asked which of the ramen dishes was not spicy. The waitress recommended the pork belly which arrived with no broth at all, after that was remedied it was still too spicy, which of course is personal but still. My friend got the fried ice cream & I got the chocolate cake with green tea ice cream, both were ok if forgettable I think if I decide to return it will be for happy hour only and I'll stick to the small plate apps and maybe take an order of the tiger prawns home.

The restaurant is modern, bright, and energetic, with the revolving sushi belt creating a lively and interactive atmosphere. It feels fresh, exciting, and different from your typical sushi spot, making the whole experience enjoyable before you even take your first bite. The service here is great. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very organized. They do a great job explaining how everything works if it is your first time and are always quick to help when needed. Plates are cleared efficiently, orders come out quickly, and the team checks in just enough to make sure everything is going smoothly without interrupting the flow of the meal. Even when it gets busy, everything runs smoothly. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared. The variety on the belt keeps things exciting, and the quality of the fish is impressive. Rolls, nigiri, and appetizers are all flavorful and nicely presented. Being able to order additional items right from the table adds to the convenience and makes it easy to try a wide range of dishes. Everything arrives at a great pace and tastes clean and fresh. Overall Kura Sushi in Lake Grove delivers a great combination of fun ambience, great service, and solid sushi. It is a place you can bring friends, family, or even just enjoy on your own and still have a great time. This is a spot that stands out and is absolutely worth returning to again and again. Came here on a weekday evening around 8pm. The hostess was extremely nice. We had to wait about 5 mins for them to clear off a table to be seated. Cleanliness was OK. Portions of the food for the price wasn't the best. You get 4 sushi pieces for $4. Things add up quickly for sure! There's different eating options to choose from, whether ordering from the screen manually or by the revolving sushi belt. Drinks came out on a robot which was cool. Positive note - food came out in a timely manner. Not sure if I'll be back, though... If you're not good with technology, this isn't the place for you!

The lighting, the music, the whole ambience screams "you're about to have a great night." The service here is top-notch. Everyone is super friendly, attentive without hovering, and genuinely seems to enjoy being part of the experience. Our server knew the menu inside and out and gave amazing recommendations, which is how I ended up discovering what might be the best roll I've ever had in my life (the Aji 53 Roll, obviously). The sushi itself? Absolute perfection. Every piece looked like it came straight off a magazine cover -- fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality and the craftsmanship in every bite. Even the appetizers and cocktails were on point, the spicy edamame and lychee martini combo had me hooked before the main event even arrived. What I love most is the energy here, whether you're out for date night, a group dinner, or just treating yourself, Aji 53 makes it feel special. The staff pays attention to the little things: your drink never runs empty, dishes come out at the perfect pace, and they always check in to make sure you're smiling (and you will be). By the end of the meal, I found myself saying, "Why am I not here every week?" Aji 53 isn't just another sushi spot, it's an experience. From the décor to the food to the service, they nail it across the board. Having never been to this type of restaurant before, we came with seasoned veterans so as to not be confused and/or overwhelmed. It's a lot IF you have no idea how this place works. Here's the gist of it: There's BBQ and/or Hot Pot. You can do one or both. There's a set price for adults and children. It's all you can eat for your 60-90 minute time slot. For a slight up charge, you can get both BBQ and hot pot. Since this was our first time, our party focused on just the BBQ. You are told when it's last call for having the raw items brought out from the kitchen to cook. Appetizers and sides are prepared in the kitchen and brought out upon your request. We tried quite a few: sweet fried mini buns, fried shrimp shuami, fried pork goyza, and fried spring rolls. All were yummy! Each person can request up to five items at one time. That's harder to do that you realize. And they will keep rolling it out as you request. However, it's important to note that wasting food is frowned upon so you are expected to order responsibility to avoid unnecessarily just throwing food away. Stars of the night for us were the skirt steak, short ribs and pork belly with enoki mushrooms. The zucchini and large mushrooms were standout fresh veggies. Everything brought to the table was very fresh and flavorful because of all the available sauces offered including a make-your-own-sauce bar. Again, adding personalized FUN to this dining experience. Service was quick and our table area was clean. Because the restaurant was so busy we sometimes had to trouble catching our server to order more items and get beverage refills. But it was never overly long. The evening ends with a Hershey's personal-sized cup of ice cream or sherbet. Just one per person. You'll be so full so one is more than enough! With our big group of seven people , our dining outing was a really fun experience. We'll be back and be sure to come hungry!
