This was one of my two favorite boutiques in Harper's Ferry (didn't browse past the shinies). Displays were unlocked for convenience. Unique jewelry pieces using a variety of materials, crafted by talented local artists in the styles of hippie to hipster vintage. Couldn't resist one artist shaping cyberpunk, so it's good that prices are pretty affordable. As a metal-sensitive shopper, I like that one rack entirely featured settings in surgical steel.

Fortunately on this trip, the weather was perfect and we had a chance to walk around and check things out. As we walked by I noticed this place, but it closed. The very next day I realized I never got a postcard and began my search for one. Since the area had gotten their first case of Covid-19 I knew it would be hard to find a place that was open. I started calling around and had basically given up. Tessoterica was my last chance and I was pretty sure it was going to be a no go. Autumn answered the phone as kind and bubbly as could be. She explained that they were closed but she was in house working on their homemade bath bombs and soaps, and would be for a while that day. I explained that I just needed to grab a few post cards, and she offered to open the doors for us to come in and get what we needed. When we got there we saw right off the bat how inviting their store is and what a large selection of handmade items they sell. Not only do they make their own inventory to sell in store, they also offer other locals works. From bath accessories, to jewelry, and even more. They also have an in house deli type area that would be perfect for relaxing and grabbing some Hershey ice cream after walking around town. Autumn couldn't have been more kind and helpful, and we can't wait to head back to the area to visit again. When you visit don't forget to grab some soaps! They smell heavenly!

Apparently she paid extra to have them delivered on my birthday only to them not show up. Fast forward to today, the flowers did show up but were totally destroyed. I found the vase tipped over on my door mat with all of the flowers scattered on the porch. Mind you it's about 20 degrees outside and windy, who leaves flowers on a doorstep in the cold a day late? FTD shouldn't allow hacks like this to operate. This business is simply someone operating out of their house while posing as a legitimate florist. Of course they can underbid everyone else, they aren't a real business. Save yourself the headache and disappointment, order from a legit florist directly, don't use the FTD delivery sites that cater to con artists like this. Here's to hoping their driver stepped in a pile of dog poop while crossing my yard.
