What a horrible experience on such a special day. First off this place is outrageously over priced. That being said we decided to overlook that factor and purchase some items for my daughters 2nd birthday party. We thought we would support a local small business, however the horrendous customer service cannot be overlooked. My family spent just under $100 in this place and around $40 on just balloons alone. On the day of my daughters party I went in to pick up my balloons and asked politely if I could PAY to have a few of my outside balloons blown up, the theme was Frozen and I had 6 latex Frozen balloons I wanted to add to the bunch. I was trying to avoid driving to another location as if I didn't already have a million things to get done before the party. Instead of accomadating a paying customer I was told to go to a grocery store to have them filled. The helium tank was literally 2 feet away and the first reason I was given was "quality of the balloons"..... ok.... Instead of arguing or causing a scene in the store I took my balloons and drove to Ralph's where they happily helped me out. I called my Aunt upset at the fact that we just spent a good deal of money at this place and was treated to poorly. My Aunt then called to complain and the reason she was given as to why my 6 balloons could not be filled was "helium shortage". So which is it? "Quality of my balloons" or "helium shortage". So not only are these women rude and pretentious but they are liars. Apparently my balloons we're just not good enough to be in their presence.. but our money sure was. Lastly, upon setting up for the party I realized a large mylar balloon I had purchased for $13 was deflated. They want to talk about "quality"? The pricey balloon literally lasted 1 hour. This was the last straw and my Aunt called back and demanded recourse. The one star I left was that at least they finally had some decency and drove out a replacement mylar balloon to the party site. The women sheepishly dropped the balloon off and tried to make a break for it without even offering so much as a "hello" or "I'm sorry". I'm sure she was embarrassed. I would be too at the behavior and lack of customer service exhibited that day. Long story short. Save your money they do not deserve it. We all love supporting local small business but in this case your really better off at Party city or ordering off Amazon. read more

Don't support businesses that don't care about their clients. Such a disappointment. I've been an advocate of Wild Child Party since they were a tiny shop in Long Beach. I always presumed the best on my run ins at the shop, which weren't so great. I shopped there often for party supplies and would tag them on Instagram & my blog often, and they'd repost! (free advertisement, of course.) I was inquiring recently for a quote on their party room and perhaps event styling for the room. They asked for my budget so they could "find better recommendations within my budget" I said 1,500-2,500 depending on what we need. Only for them to say they don't do parties under 5k. I'm here to tell you that you don't need to spend 5-10k on a kids party for the "WOW factor" and you don't treat your loyal customers like trash just because you now do balloons for the kardashians. I could understand if you asked for my budget and gave me viable options that fit in my budget, but to turn a client away bc I don't fit minimums is unprofessional and arrogant. We had our little girls birthday party and used wild child party balloons for the party. We had a great experience. Customer service was great. There is a helium shortage per local vons, so factor that into pricing as It's a little expensive. I would use them again for any events we have. I loved my first experience here. Similarly, I live in the neighborhood and had driven by this cute shoppe multiple times. I was preparing for my Godson's first birthday and thought this would be a good excuse to purchase a fun balloon feature. I found some inspo from napkins in the store (so cute - animal themed) and the woman at the front desk was so helpful in picking out colors and coordinating with me via text on variations, updates etc. They delivered the balloons on Friday morning and I put them outside Saturday afternoon for the party. The woman who delivered the balloons was wonderful too! She gave me some tips on how to hang them and where. She also left behind some extra tiny balloons (I think they were back up in case something popped in the van) and I put them in a small kiddy pool in case little man wanted to play with them ‍ - he loved them!! This review is mainly for their event planning service. I've followed Wild Child on Instagram for years and absolutely love their work. At the time when I was working for my boss, he was looking for some balloon decorations for his daughter's birthday. He enlisted my help to find someone. Wild Child came up first on my mind and I was so excited to finally have a reason to work with them. I called the store to ask for details and the worker there gave me an email to contact. To be honest, my boss had a flexible budget and it wasn't like he didn't have the money to spare, but both he and I know when something is too overpriced. I won't go into much detail about the pricing of what Wild Child quoted us for, but like what most reviewers on here say about their pricing, it is true. They did advise that they would only work with us if we paid a certain minimum amount and to be honest, I thought for the amount they were charging us, it wasn't a lot they were giving us. I just thought if we were going to spend this much money, we would at least get a lot balloon designs but we wouldn't. I did air my disappointment in their pricing to them and I was surprised they responded back with sort of an arrogant tone. We decided to go elsewhere and not only did we save money with another business but got more than what Wild Child would've offered us. I would say if you have a lot of money to spare for a small package such as maybe just a balloon arch, then, by all means go for it. But if you are smart with your money and want to get more bang for your buck, go somewhere else. Any small event planning business can do just as great as Wild Child or better. Their shop in Long Beach is cute though and has a lot of party favors/decor. I'd recommend visiting their store if you ever need any party supplies. read more

We were buying balloons to celebrate a friend's U.S. Citizenship. Natalie and Genevieve went all out to help us. We went before the store opened but they helped us anyway. This place will make you want to throw an event even if you don't need to. Their stuff is adorable. Their ideas and set ups are incredible. They've helped me with hosting birthday parties, a gender reveal and even Christmas dinner. I love an excuse to go in here. I will admit that one time, we had a hiccup with customer service and I didn't feel like I was treated well in this single instance. The owner called me afterward, was extremely gracious, and really made things right with me, and to this day I am still a loyal customer. Great customer service is incredibly difficult to find but after the owner and I spoke, I genuinely got the sense that she is committed to her customers and cares about delivering an outstanding experience. I'm not sure what has happened since I was last in, but the customer service has gone down the drain. Zero greeting, minimal response when I asked questions. Just an overall disinterest in having customers. Bought a balloon that was $22. Ended up spending $50...the helium was more expensive than the balloon and when I questioned the cost, all I got was, "well, it's a big balloon." I live in the area and always adore how cute the store is lovely decorated; however, the customer service dose not match! My daughter needed some last minute balloons as she was attempting to surprise her fiancé for his birthday and was missing the balloons as the final touch. We were running a little behind and attempted to make a quick stop. As she walked in she began to ask the price for a dozen balloons? Before she could finish the question, the rude lady nastily replied "$30.00 !"
