Bird Watchers Supply isn't the closest place for us to buy feeders and food, but it's got the best service by far so it's worth going a little out of our way to shop there. Their service, expertise and selection of products are better than any other retailer we've tried. Here's why: EXPERTISE The associates here have helped us understand what type of feeders and food are best for local birds, how to position the feeders (under or NOT under trees!) and how to provide chipmunks and squirrels their fair share of food without driving away the birds. They've patiently answered my questions about the relative merits of suet versus seed versus grubs and how to attract and sustain specific birds to our yard. SERVICE Always a friendly greeting and offer of assistance when we come in, which we appreciate. They also just let us browse quietly, without constant chattering, which we appreciate even more! They've gone through inventory to help us find just the right item and offer assistance in carrying our purchases to the car. SELECTION Of course you can expect to find feeders, food, poles, brackets and hangers - they carry a good selection of each. In addition, this location carries quite a few options for bird baths, fountains and decorative items for your patio/deck and yard - everything from yard flags to pretty pillows. They also carry some interior decor and even some apparel/accessories including the GingerSnaps line of jewelry. Unfortunately, this location also didn't have the med for the size of the dog I needed it for. I decided to just walk around the store and browse. I saw a lot of live animals, like birds, hamsters and snakes, that I wasn't interested in having as pets. One dog is enough for me at home. They have grooming at this location, and even have a large walled area where owners can bring their dogs for training classes. While I was walking around, I was pleasantly surprised that two employees in separate areas of the store asked if they could help me find anything. This store was clean and uncluttered at the time I was there, and the shelves looked well stocked, especially dog food which had a large selection of brands available. Parking was easy to find in the large free parking lot shared by a lot of businesses that are in the same outdoor shopping mall.
