No human mouth could possibly open wide enough to bite down on it. I had to gnaw on it from different angles, and at that, became totally sated long before it was even half done. My wife had the Turkey Bacon Wrap in a "Tomato Basil Wrap," and commented over and over about how delicious it was. She was only able to finish half and ate the rest the next day. She also ordered a "side salad" that was a big as a regular salad. Again, enjoying it very much.

Not to mention if the customers saw how gross that kitchen is they would never eat there, the grease build up is disturbing. It's honestly so bad that you can hear fireballs shooting up out of the back of the fryer and the owner refused to get it cleaned. I we even had a D on the last health inspection! I have attached pics to show I'm not some disgruntled employee making stuff up. This is where your food is coming from. The owner is also definitely sexist, he told one of our co workers to pull up his pants because it was giving him a boner. That's not a joke it's absolutely disgusting. The only reason this place is still running is because he prays on young people who don't know any better.

We live in the country near Sprague so Cheney is not too far for us so we often stop in here on our way home from Spokane because we know they always have the best food and a good selection of our favorite draft beer. My husband's favorites are pizza and beer and he knows how I love their sandwiches so we headed to the Barrelhouse. They have a nice outdoor area which we love in the warm months and with a 6 and 4 year old it's the best spot for us although their indoor seating is also great when it's cold outside. My daughter and I ordered house salads to start and as she said there is something delicious about their salads. For one they are big! They have fresh ingredients; lettuce, mushrooms, red onion and croutons etc. The only thing I can fault them for is they don't have my favorite dressing (honey mustard) but the red wine vinaigrette suits me as well. We also ordered the pizza bites which are covered in Parmesan and come with marinara and creamy garlic dips. I can't say enough about these bites and dips. I should have stopped there but I ordered my favorite sandwich which is the Hawaiian and my daughter had the pesto chicken sandwich. Both of these sandwiches are delicious. Seriously delicious. Husband ordered a pizza for himself and the kids (half cheese for them and half meat and veggies for him). He loves their pizza and he was smart enough not to indulge in the pizza bites so he had room. Service is always friendly. We love this place!

On the way back to Tacoma I stopped in Cheney, Washington. My first time visiting this town. I was…read morewondering why there was no brewery here a few years ago since it can barely count as a Spokane suburb (and maybe doesn't) and was a college town. I kind of found out why. Cheney isn't really that big of a place. But along came Inland Ale Works Brewing Company and Cheney now indeed has it's own craft brewery to have and enjoy. I went in here after playing a Community Day for Pokémon Go at the nearby university and bumped into a few other players as well. But once I was finished I was ready for a nice, cold beer. I got the El Kabong, a Mexican Lager which I enjoyed pretty well. Sometimes I get picky with these types of lagers and desire them best when they are aged in tequila barrels or have a peppery kick to them. This one wasn't exactly like that but it was refreshing all the same with it's clean and crisp aspects that were pleasant after my moderately lengthed stroll. It was more on the biscuity and bready side this lager. A nice little bonus was complimentary popcorn which I was definitely in the mood for as I returned back to the Interstate and continued my return journey back to Tacoma.

Inland Ale was listed on our Harvest Host RV website and although we did not need a place to stay over we decided to check it out. I wish I had caught the name of the brewman behind the bar as he was super friendly and attentive. We brought our tiny dog and two teenage boys. They had IBC sodas and played Connect 4 and Chess while my husband and I had a pint and visited with another couple seated nearby. Lovely atmosphere, delicious beer (we had the lager and the hazy lemon shandy blend). It was a refreshing and delightful stop. We will definitely stop back by!

My…read morelovely wifey surprised me today with a canned IPA from this joint, along with a cider of her choice to enjoy after a long day. They were in 16oz. cans, and both were decent offerings from local brew masters. They were also $15+ for both of them. Two...cans...were...over...fifteen...dollars. Look, I love my beautiful wife's impulse gesture, but as a very, very frugal man, I internally blew a freekin' gasket at the price. To me, they have two automatic strikes against them: obviously their price point; and, the fact that their corner is one of the toughest to succeed at because of absolutely lousy location/parking. An honest business try from them, and, I wish them success. And, I'm sure I'll wish whatever endeavor that replaces them next year well, too...

First strike against them is having to walk up to their little counter to order and take our drinks to our table. Second strike against them was having to pay as we ordered (is this McDonald's?). The single woman waiting on us took our order, made the food and brought it to us which made me realize there was no one doing the cooking so the food probably consisted of frozen heat and serve type options. I have to say my chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich with Caesar salad was passable and hubby's nachos were very good. But we prefer full service restaurants; yes we're lazy. Our server was very nice and the beer selection was small but passable.
